J & B did my siding and I can not express enough how great they were. Upon removal of the siding, rot and deterioration was found on a wall. Tim came to the job site and had a plan to resolve it immediately. They didn’t even disturb the drywall. It was like nothing happened. What great service! Thank you for all the effort!!! J&B replaced my simple, yet large roof recently. The foreman, Chris, was great. He explained the process effectively and answered any questions I had thoroughly. Some of the siding needed to be removed and he went through the trouble of labeling each part so replacement was easier. The labor crew worked hard and efficiently. Each member of the team knew their roll and executed the job with pride. Job site clean up was great.
We did have a small hiccup but Scott and Chris showed me the concern and explained the proper repair. To be fair, this repair was recommended and an estimate was provided before the job started but wasn’t explained in a way that I understood. Once the materials were pulled back the problem stood out very clearly. Scott drew up a new bid and despite it being more work, came back at the original cost. Really made me feel that they prioritize a job done correctly over a few extra dollars.

I’ve had J&B construction company out for several different projects on my home in the past few years. It has been a great experience! Dealing with Tim has been amazing. He has a wealth of knowledge pertaining to construction and is very patient when dealing with all the changes we made throughout. We will definitely be doing business with them again.

J&B Construction did an excellent job of replacing my 1933 home's complicated roof. They had all the correct people for each phase of the work. Brian in sales and Scott, the company's chief, were on top of this project all the way through. Every detail was attended to. The end result was one beautiful roof! All my neighbors were as impressed as I was! Thanks J&B!

Just had roof and gutters replaced by J&B and would definitely recommend them. Their quote was highly competitive and they did quality work. They kept us informed regularly when there were inevitable delays due to supplies coming in and bad weather. Only thing was that they specifically stated they haul trash daily and don’t leave dumpsters on site which didn’t end up actually being the case for us, but I was happy to overlook this since it didn’t obstruct our driveway and given everything else went so well.

What start out as a siding project quickly evolved into a roof replacement as well. J&B was able to take the additional request in stride and do everything without missing a beat.

Asked her for her experience and she told me she would highly recommend J & B. I called Scott to set an appointment. He showed up on time and was very thorough in his assessment, also letting me know about some other issues and advise on where to get help. J & B is a fantastic company to deal with - their people are incredibly careful about the work they do, clean up and leave the property in the same condition as when they started, were careful about plants and the house, and work very efficiently. The office staff is great about following up, checking in and very responsive to anything that comes up. I was happy with the price charged. If you are looking to replace your roof, you should be calling J & B to get the job done.

J & B did a great job with our new roof and gutters. It is a nice touch to have the owner, Scott, so actively involved in the process including the initial estimate and the final walk through. Allie in the office was also very attentive and helpful with any questions that arose. Even with us being out of the country, she kept us informed of a reschedule due to bad weather and kept us updated on when the crew would show up.

We had work done by the J&B team at a commercial property and were very pleased with the whole process. Their estimator met us onsite and communicated with us every step of the way. They went over the scope in detail and the work performed exceeded what we were expecting. They found some additional concerns during the installation that were quickly addressed and communicated to us and to our surprise, there was not an additional charge. Our tenants reached out to share how respectful the employees were during the installation and how clean everything was left afterwards. As the project was wrapped up, we were walked through the completion paperwork and provided the warranty information. We contracted with J&B to replace our front door unit. Upon removal of the existing door unit a hidden problem with the concrete stoop was found that prevented the proper installation of the new door. J&B installers boarded up the doorway, brought in a mason to fix the problem and returned to install the new door unit in just a couple of days. They took care of everything. The workmanship of the installers was excellent. Every person we dealt with at J&B, from sales to installers to office were wonderful. We would definitely use J&B again.

J&B did an excellent job bringing our 1930's house to life by taking down part of an overhang, and redoing our roof, soffit, facia, gutters and siding. As new homeowners, taking on a project this large can be intimidating, and J&B helped us understand all of our options and were extremely attentive throughout the process. We absolutely love the end result and would recommend working with Scott and his team on any project - large or small.

The J&B team consistently demonstrated their knowledge, experience, helpfulness and integrity throughout our project, which included a complete re-roof, replacing the soffit/fascia and gutters, and the installation of a new skylight. Steer clear from these guys. Typical contractor, they say one thing and do another. It's incredibly hard in today's day and age to find a good company. To make it easier for you, you can bypass J&B Construction in your search process. Working with a family company sounds good, but not in this case.

When the going gets tough, they are no where to be found!

Should I keep going? Your quote, even though the owner guaranteed it would be specific, was less than one page. How do you expect an insurance company to pay over 20k when your quote was sooooooooo generic. You all should be embarrassed and how you've managed to stay in business is puzzling!!!

This company does not take ownership; stay far away. I bet this post will continue to get likes over time. I just have a feeling that with the insurance landscape changing to prevent roofing companies from submitting these generic quotes hiding profits, more and more people will have time wasted by J&B!

What a fabulous company to work with. I highly recommend them. I needed replacement of flashing and repair around my chimney. Given that it was an active leak situation, J & B worked me into their schedule so I would not experience further damage to my chimney and inside my attic. Our project included roof replacement, new gutters, new soffit and ridge vents, sheet metal work around the chimney and gutter guards. From the original visit through the completion of the project everyone at J&B was very knowledgeable and thorough. They answered all of our questions and kept us informed as the project progressed. Following the recent full frame install of Pella wood windows and sliding door, I can confidently recommend J & B for several reasons that were important to me. A couple of which were a no pressure easy to understand quote process that included my requested changes to some of the window designs and their ability to stain and finish all product including the new jambs and casing to match existing interior woodwork prior to delivery. Add a meticulous installer with great attention to finishing detail and the end result was the look of original new construction inside and out.

The team at J&B is unlike any other, they provide timely updates on material orders, Scott was on site numerous times to discuss the project, the crew cleans up after every shift and, when we determined I had additional siding issues, they were able to complete the additional repairs at the same time they completed the roof.

I have used J&B for numerous jobs including a full manufacturer’s siding replacement, and every job is completed on time and with excellent workmanship.

I have used J and B twice now for repairs to our home. The first time was 8 years ago for a roof replacement. Wonderful experience working with J&B on residing with LP Smartside, new roof,fascia,gutter, solar skylights,and soffit on our 25 year old ranch in Franklin. Earlier this year, I noticed the cedar siding on my home’s chimney was cracking along the joint line of the house. Scott from J&B stopped out and recommended LP Smartside Siding to replace the cedar. J&B did a full roof replacement on my house and garage with new asphalt shingles. Their price was mid-range, fair, and the quote I received was very detailed in what work would be done. Their crew completed the work quickly and were professional, respectful of my property and friendly guys. They provided status updates frequently and made sure I was happy with what they were doing. I'm a satisfied customer, would definitely use them again and can happily recommend them.

Scott was super communicative in the days leading up to the inspection, was on time, and got our roof inspection done in a timely manner. We got our inspection report not even 3 hours after he left our house.

We had them add insulation to our attic and install much needed vents. They also replaced our roof and sealed our sunroom, which was leaking. Can’t say enough how hard they all worked. Cleaned up after themselves. I feel great about their workmanship and the value we received. Would difficulty have them again.

After a trip to the showroom we selected Marvin Ultimate Wood Windows. There were 6 windows we needed to replace right away. I wanted to start with those to make sure I was happy with the quality and workmanship. Justin, Austin and Aaron came promptly on the day promised and did such a great job that I called Rick and gave him an order for the rest of the windows in my house.

I contacted this company to determine if my twenty year old double hung Marvin windows needed to be repaired or replaced. I was assuming the worst, but Rick quickly identified the problem and fixed the three windows on the spot. I have a roof that has no sofits or overhang. This is prone to leaks and ice dams. Scott and his team were able to design a new roof system that completely protected my home and made it water tight. We hired J&B Construction to replace an existing roof that was not in the best of shape. Scott Cline did a cost estimate of the proposed work. He clearly explained what the job would cover, warranty and product information. We received a written estimate and explanation details on the products for future reference. We decided to go ahead and hire J&B Construction for the job.

At 7:00 am several weeks later a team of 7 or 8 people showed up and immediately went to work preparing the site and putting up tarps to contain the materials being removed from the roof. Weather conditions were cold, windy and harsh. The crew worked hard to complete the job like a well oiled machine. The completed roof looks very well done and attractive. I was particularly impresed with the excellent clean up job they did after having so much junk material taken down.

My home suffered some storm damage this summer. I met with several contractors which were recommended to me by my insurance company. They were all quick to come out and bid the job, but then disappeared and would not return phone calls. So, after months of spinning my wheels (with no help from my insurance company), I was referred to J&B from a building supply company I contacted. From the initial meeting with Scott I knew I chose the right company. Scott was extremely thorough in his explanation of what it would take to repair my home, including the roofing, siding and gutter. I encountered some challenges with my insurance company along the way in which Scott was successfully able to overcome. He was again very thorough in explaining to my insurance adjuster what all needed to be done to make my home whole again. When it was discovered that my siding was no longer available, he and Tim got creative and offered several options as alternatives. I am very thankful to Scott for helping me navigate the challenges I faced along the way. Once the work began, it went quick. The roofing and siding crews were both amazing and did a beautiful job. They kept me informed of their progress and were very professional and pleasant. The finished project exceeded my expectations and I could not be happier with my homes new look. I highly recommend J&B to anyone looking for exterior work. J&B is most definitely my new go to company from here on out.

We called on J&B to replace our rotting cedar siding with Smart Side after getting many quotes and doing research on the product. We were completely impressed on all accounts from office staff answering calls and questions to friendly, tidy workers hanging siding! When our roof needed to be replaced, J&B was our 1st call! We had a tear off and new roof installed including two new skylights and new larger gutters. The J&B crew is experienced and performs quality work with a quality system and materials. Due to the crazy weather we had this late fall the start date was pushed out, but I was kept informed and the work was able to get done just before Christmas.

Personnel at J&B are very knowledgeable and were helpful with determining the needs of our siding project. Workmanship was great and time spent to complete the project was very reasonable especially considering the weather challenges. The clarity of the contract and the description of the project were much appreciated. I highly recommend this company and will have them back for other projects.

The only complaint I have is when I have J&B do my roof in another 30 years or so, is Dave their sales man (a great guy) would not guaranty I could get the same great crew I had this time.
They did a fantastic job. Much better than the last roofing company did. A nice bunch of guys. Did a very nice job cleaning up. I'd give them 10 stars but 5 is the limit.

One more point I need to make. The guys that did the chimney flashing are artists. I went up on the roof when they were done and was very pleased with not only the roofing job but the sculptured sheet metal work. It's kind of a shame it's on the roof and not hanging on the family room wall :). You get the point.

We live in a historic designated neighborhood and recently had our 30 year wood shingle roof replaced with another wood roof and new gutters. From Day 1 of the project to the final day, the entire team was responsive, professional, and very competent. When some minor changes were proposed by us they quickly and effortlessly complied. After going through this experience with J&B, I would highly recommend them to anyone considering a roof and gutter replacement, whether it be a simple or complicated project.

J&B answered our emergency call for a serious leak in my roof. This was my first dealing with J&B, but even though I was a first time caller they still got someone on site the same day to tarp over the problem area to prevent further leaking, and then they did the major repair in days. Subsequent to this emergency, I hired J&B to provide a venting solution in another section of the roof where other roofers could not come up with an idea to meet the need, as well as some chimney flashing maintenance. J&B work crews also did very thorough clean up on completing the jobs, with no leftover nails or roofing material anywhere on my lawn and patios. All dealings with J&B had a personal touch, with in person follow-up from them to be sure the work was as expected by me and up to their high standards. J&B has my highest recommendation.

We selected J&B Construction Co to install a DaVinci slate roof due to a competitive price, excellent product knowledge and a prior favorable experience with a roofing installation by Scott's father. Scott was very responsive to a request for a quote, fully explained what would be done and why and was tolerant of the initial numerous questions for such an endeavor. J&B also had to coordinate with an asbestos shingle removal firm, which went smoothly. Any change orders were addressed promptly with no surprises. I was very impressed with the commitment, pride, skill and communication exhibited by Tim, Derek and Jim as project leaders on the job. As problems arose, they were quick to communicate the issue and recommend solutions. They were willing to sacrifice some production output to properly resolve the issue and get the job done right. They had a sense of "ownership" in terms of what they would do if this was their home. This attitude has to start at the top (Scott) and cascade to his teams. It's rewarding to see them empowered to make those decisions that lead to a quality result. As a customer, I highly value that attitude. I would recommend J&B for any roofing project without hesitation. Well done Team J&B!

Not impressed. Set an appointment up for an estimate a week ago only to be called the day before and told that they are to busy and didn't have time.
All the information was taken via phone, appointment set, and you backed out of your commitment after we modified our families work schedule to better fit yours. What a Bush-league move, you guys really did earn this review.

The proposal for our tear off and complete roofing project was clearly defined and outlined along with the cost. The entire roofing team was courteous and very respectful to us and our property. We would highly recommend Scott Cline and his firm J&B.

They advertise that your home will be more maintenance free with J&B. My experience with this company is just the opposite! When a new roof was installed the President of J&B recommended not installing ice and water shield, he said that it wasn't needed. This was made very clear to me by the prior owner of the property and J and B can contact them if there is any doubt about this! I have now had to make two repairs because of leaking under the eaves and my roofing professional said it was because of not having this product used as part of the roofing installation. It was not because of the gutter apron that J and B claims was the problem. I have talked with several roofing contractors since and they all highly recommend having ice and water shield as part of any roofing job because of the winter climate here in Wisconsin. Why J&B Construction would made this recommendation is something that's difficult to understand.

J&B did a fine job at my house. I had a tear off and new roof installed. The staff was on time, courteous and clean. The service was great and I believe I received an excellent value. As a contractor myself, I choose only those that I would recommend. I highly recommend J&B.

Choosing J&B Construction for a new roof installation was the worst decision that I have made in my life. For more than 3 years J&B Construction needed to come back repeatedly for a roof leak and other problems with the roof. After all that time, I am still not satisfied with the work that was done and I am not a particularly picky person. Make sure that you thoroughly document everything with journals and pictures. At the first sign of problems get an expert witness and an attorney involved. A roof installation should be a fairly simple project but this nightmare lasted more than 3 years and I will never trust anyone associated with J&B Construction again.
