JAK Construction and Remodel did an outstanding job on our fence repair! From the first call to the final nail, they were professional, punctual, and incredibly easy to work with. They communicated clearly, showed up on time, and got the job done quickly without cutting corners. The craftsmanship is solid — the fence looks better than new! I don't typically leave reviews on Google, but I think it could be helpful as home remodeling is likely stressful and costly, especially for those who never have any experience working with contractors or home improvement services like us.
We had JAK LLC remodel our bathrooms, replace the windows, and relocate an electrical outlet and wanted to share our experience with their service.
Pros: JAK LLC is willing to take smaller project like ours while most of other places would not care, especially in the summer time. Their price is fair and affordable. They are pretty responsive in terms of sending the bids. They are responsible for the tasks that were not done correctly and/or did not meet customer's satisfaction (they came back to fix things that were installed inappropriately and refunded us the costs of those were done wrong)
Cons: For some reason they did our project in a hurry and somewhat careless ways. 1) The electrical (GFCI) outlet we asked to relocate, was found right at where the cabinet was even though we'd provided the cabinet's dimensions. They did refund us for this task, but when my husband fixed it, he found the GFCI outlet was installed completely incorrectly and the wires were almost broken which very likely causes fire hazards. Fortunately, it was done wrong so we caught and fix that. 2) We provided them all the materials including tubs, walls, paints, and mud, but they did such a terrible job of mudding and painting both bathrooms. They left some corners un-mudded so that there were holes between the walls. We had to spend extra time fixing them all. 3) I could not see things done behind the walls but now in the summer, we smell such a bad sewer gas from one of the bathroom and occasionally see small spiders appear in the bathtub. Thus, we think they might not install the p-trap underneath the bathtub to prevent those. 4) The bathtub drain was almost covered in silicone. My husband had to remove them for water to drain faster.
Anyway, we hope that this honest review could be helpful for not only those who are looking for a contractor service, but also for JAK LLC to do a better service as people rely on your professions to have a better living place.
