We recently had a new roof installed on our home by Jack and his crew. They completed the installation in just two days. Initially, I was concerned about the possibility of rain during the process, but Jack's team worked efficiently and finished the job in time.

I first noticed Jack working on several roofing projects in my community, and I'm glad I chose him for our home as well.

I highly recommend Jack the Roofer to repair &/or replace your roof. They installed my new roof in 3 1/2 days and did an outstanding job! Joel promptly came out to quote the job and was great at communicating with me. The crew arrived on time each morning; worked very hard all day & cleaned up each afternoon before leaving. They did a fantastic job; were prompt; efficient; highly professional and affordable. I know you will be pleased with their work.

I was referred to Jack the Roofer by my realtor. I was in contact with Joel throughout the process. He came the very next day to examine the damage due to a leak. With the damage being caused a leak, he assigned two crews to the house to ensure no additional damage. They finished in three days. The crew did a great job. They did a complete roof repair. Joel always responded to my numerous texts and calls. He explained everything regarding the materials being used, the job, and the warranty. I will be a repeat customer.

Side note: I received three estimates for a complete roof replacement. Joel’s estimate was 30% less than the two other companies.

A strong word of caution if you are considering Jack the Roofer for your roofing project. He was hired by my general contractor to build a roof for an addition to our house. Before his crew left the site, they explained to me they would need to return later because they didn’t have the proper material to finish. Several days later, Jack told my contractor the crew had returned and finished—but two security cameras clearly showed no one had returned to complete the work.

Unfortunately, a week or so later it rained and the roof—which had not been ‘dried in’—leaked in five places. His crew then returned to finish the job, hopefully properly. To top it off, Jack then refused to provide me or the contractor with a written warranty after approximately six requests to do so. I still don’t have one. I urge you to find a reputable workman and avoid Jack the Roofer.

Brand new roof was added when I purchased the home in 2018. Clearly the job was not done well. Thank goodness I changed the lighting in my kitchen or I would have never found that there was a leak in my roof. Tons of corrosion found, which had to have been more than a year old, which can only mean their quality lasted max 3 years if not less. I reached out to them September only to have the owner downplay the damage and to tell me I am on a list. When it rains at all I literally have to have a bucket under my light, the new fixture is absolutely ruined and who knows what damage has been done the electrical components of my home! They have not answered a single call, text or email since September. So much for a BS and hassle free warranty.
Honestly, save yourself and pick a different company.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jack today. My 7 year old roof developed a leak near the fireplace chimney that became noticeable in January 2022. Jack found that debris from tree leaves was allowing the water to dam up and work its way under the flashing. He came down from the roof in 10 minutes to inform me about what he did and how to prevent this in the future. He also refused payment for this service.

When you need someone to provide services on your home, all you can hope for is honesty, good workmanship, and fair treatment. I can't really comment on his quality of work at this point, but I can speak very highly of his character. That checks a lot of the boxes for me.

I had these guys replace my skylight and 2 years later it's leaking. I went up to look and the foam around the skylight is cracked and flaking away.

After getting multiple quotes I found out there is a large crack extending away from the base of the skylight, It looks like they damaged my roof when removing the previous skylight and did poor patchwork on the repair.

We have used Jack the Roofer many times for our various houses and have been completely satisfied. They exceeded our expectations and we would recommend them and have done so.

Called to schedule an estimate, was told I would hear from an estimator to schedule after giving them my information. Never heard back. Guess they dont want more business.

They called me within hours of this review. I was at work so I missed the call. The next day(on a Saturday, I come home from errands and find a paper on my BEDROOM door that they had been in my house without me. I had other workers here, but that does not give them the right to enter my home without me here. The following Monday I receive an estimate from them for a roof repair in a random spot that I didnt even ask for that is not leaking. I called for a leak in my master bath and they gave me an estimate for a repair in the garage. WAY OFF. I called to tell them I dont like that they entered my home without me and that the estimate is not what I asked for. They said they would call me back so that they could come look at the leak. They didnt. Big shocker. STAY FAR AWAY.

Overall the roof repair was satisfactory. The trim and vents were left unpainted even though it was stated in the estimate. There was slight damage to our patio wall paint from falling debris and cement. Finally, I never received a return call after reaching out to the representative to discuss said concerns. No representation once deal was agreed upon.

I used this business as a referral from Karen Picarello Realty. In this business it seems that skilled roof repair services are not only difficult to find but truly nearly impossible to find. We were thankful for this referral. We had a pleasant experience start to finish and the work has been tested with multiple times of rainfall. -Highly recommend!

On this occasion, I was hired by a California woman who wanted to sell her deceased father's home in Mesa. I had told her it would need a new roof, and Jack the Roofer offered the best price of the three companies that provided bids. As always, the work of the Jack the Roofer staff was thorough and timely. It enabled me to sell the house quickly and for the new owner to take comfort that he had a brand new roof.

Our realtor had Jack the Roofer come out to assess our roof during the inspection period prior to our purchase of our home. He clearly explained that the roof is original on the nearly 30-yr old home. He said he could do some minor repairs to buy us more time instead of having to replace a roof immediately after purchase.

The repairs held and bought us three years exactly as stated. Jack the Roofer just completed a full roof replacement (we have tile over the home and our garage is flat) for us. They did an amazing job. They showed up when they said they would and the quote we received in the Spring stayed the same even though we waited almost 8 months to perform the work.

The cost was higher than some, less than others, but the reviews were consistently very complimentary especially when it came to the quality of the materials and work. I am now pleased to be a happy customer. Jack is very pragmatic. He says what he does and does what he says. I’ve since referred a few neighbors to Jack for their full-roof replacements and they are equally as pleased with the quality of the work.

Jack is the man to go to if you need a roofer. He is thorough, does quality work and you can tell he cares about you as a person as well as a customer. You can't go wrong with Jack the Roofer!

Always quick to return my calls, texts and emails. A pleasure to work with. Tracked down and repaired a leak in a newer roof, done by a different company. The quote I got from other companies to fix the repair was literally 3X the price of what Jack the Roofer charged me. Will have them do my patio roof when it's time. Great crew!

Jack the Roofer company installed a new flat roof. they were very competitive, Showed up when they said., completed when they said and did a great job. They were very professional and left with everything cleaned up and working great!

RUN THE OTHER WAY! very charming till you sign the contract. Then you can’t get them to respond to your texts, emails, phone calls. Workers, supplies showed up and left without any notice. Joel was supposed to take pictures of the finished product, never showed. (My Ring doorbell showed him parking in front of my house one day but he went to the neighbors. ???) Broke my condensation line - paid $65 to have it repaired. Dropped a cable line down the side of the house (facing 7th Ave) - air conditioning guy pulled it back up onto the roof. Didn't even respond when I told them they left a piece of equipment - so I pitched it. Hopefully my roof won’t leak.

Had a leak with water running into my wall. Jack The Roofer found the problem. My Satellite dish had pulled away with the brackets leaving a space for water to enter.

This company was doing my neighbors roof in February. Needing a repair the crew came over to evaluate the problem. ( they do have a knowledgeable crew chief). After that it was frustrating dealing with Joel and the company. I made several calls and emails requesting the quote and roofing samples but no response, or no show for items requested. I finally reached Joel and was told the repair would be done by the end of the week, I was never scheduled. By the end of June, I was tired of waiting and trying to contact them. They did me a favor. I found another roofing company, who came out promptly to evaluate the problem and it was fixed in a week. If you have to beg a company to do a job, and you have a problem after the work was done, would the lack of response be the same , my guess is yes!

Joel and his fellow employees at Jack the Roofer have been so wonderful and amazing before, during and after my roofing job was completed. They made sure everything was taken care of from start to finish and was done professionally. Call Jack the Roofer for a great service in roofing.

Great experience. There was initially an additional charge for a facia board replacement which was replaced and not charged. Very pleased.

Very happy with this company. They have replaced 2 different roofs (one flat/foam and one tile) on my personal homes and felt it was a very good value and great job.

Referred my real estate client for repairs needed on his rental property he was selling. Jack the roofer company gave an estimate, and when they did the repairs they did not notify my client or myself there were former old beehives on the corner of the roof/garage area. They did not close up that area properly ( 1/2 inch gap). Within 3 weeks there was a swarm of bees that came through that gap that had to be removed professionally. When my client and I tried to contact Jack on the phone about this, instead of listening, Jack became very verbally inappropriate and rude. Both my client and I were literally speechless. My client ended up having to hire another roofer to put the roof back together because the buyer did not want Jack to come back to that property again after the mistake they had made prior. My client had to pay an additional &1700 to another roofer, $650 for the bee removal and $350 for drywall repair in the garage. Jack the Roofer's mission statement says their employees are trained to pay attention to detail and also to alert an owner of any conditions that are pre-existing that may cause issues. Neither of those things was done! At the very minimum they should have reimbursed my client for the bee removal and repair. I do not recommend this company.

Jack the Roofer has done three roof replacements on my rental properties and recently on my home. He completed the work timely, is very professional, does excellent work, and is very reasonably priced. I will always call Jack the Roofer, and recommend the company with two thimbs up. Called for a roof inspection and spoke with Linda. She scheduled a time for Jack to come out and take a look at the property and he did a report the same day. Thankfully the roof was in great shape and no repairs were needed. My buyers would totally call Jack the Roofer if any issues arise in the future!

The installers were very professional and did a great job. They also helped with the insurance company and getting a good quote when the insurance company was giving us a hassle.

Jack the Roofer is a HUGE RIPOFF - HE TOOK THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FROM ME AND Gave ME A 12 YEAR GUARANTEE. I had my entire roof done 3 years ago and have had them back 3 times already for leaks. Now I have yet another leak in my office in a different spot. I’ve been trying to notify Jack and he keeps avoiding all of my text messages and calls. He had no problem taking my money yet he doesn’t want to come back and fix his horrible work. His son from what I remember is very reliable and I will try to reach out to him on Monday before I take this any further. I wish I would’ve gone with my first instinct and never hired them, the only reason I did is because of a family member who in the beginning swore they were amazing although now their tune has changed about them as well.

I LOOKED AT MY FLAT ROOF THAT IS LEAKING FROM MY SECOND FLOOR And IT’S AN AWEFUL JOB. Last year when I had the leak in my front room, I even told Jack how he placed my tile on wrong and it looks atrocious from the road, he would never respond back to me because he knows he screwed up. This man is absolutely unprofessional, unreliable and LOVES MAKING EXCUSES and I would not recommend them to anyone. Last year he took a picture of one of my leaks and said it was a stucco repair needed when in fact it was not. It was his shotty job on the roof above the master bedroom in my home.

If I don’t hear back from them by the end of next week, I will be contacting the ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE AS WELL AS THE REGISTRAR OF CONTRACTORS. I’ll let the Registrar see their pathetic work.

Im a property manager, I tried to get them out to a property for 2 weeks. They called me twice saying they were in the area, when they should've called the tenant. I gave the tenant info Somehow they didn't show up either time still?? I have an unhappy owner, a roof that is still damaged, a tenant who is wondering when we will have this fixed, and they made everyone look terrible.

I had a leak from the rain and Jack The Roofer came out right away and fixed it. I had a great experience with them and will be calling them again when I need a new roof.

Working with this company has been a complete nightmare. From day one, we've been unaware of what was going on due to an extreme lack of communication. Without notice, supplies were dropped off at our home. Without notice, workers were on our roof. Without explanation, for 2 business days, a pile of trash and supplies were left in the middle of our front yard, which led to an HOA warning. Without notice, a train car sized dumpster was dropped off in our driveway, blocking our 2.5 car garage, only allowing room for one car in our driveway, and our HOA does not allow us to park on the street. Without explanation, the dumpster has sat in our driveway for 4 business days and is still there as of this review. Throughout the week, we've called and called and emailed and emailed and texted and texted and we've received little to no response. After being told the job would take 3 days, we've been dealing with this nonsense for 7 chaotic, stressful days, despite only 1.5 days of actual work on the roof. I wish I read the reviews on this company before moving forward with the referral from a colleague.

Came to my home once but didn't have a tall enough ladder to reach my 2nd Story roof. Said he would be back the next morning and nothing. I called several times and left voicemails. Looks like they don't need any more business. Do not care about their customers. Would never recommend their company to anyone. If your to booked at least let your customers know don't just go dark.

Let me start by saying this project went well for us. This project was a complete tile roof replacement. They were up front and prompt with their quotation. That, along with being competitively priced made the situation all that much better. One minor communication situation occurred, but it was rendered very quickly. The field crew was not only professional but they were timely day to day. They left our yard clean everyday, which made final clean up simple for them and left our yard looking great. Follow up was good. Buck wanted to make sure we were satisfied.

There is a reason why this company has been around so long.

1. They said the job would take one day. So far it’s been two and the job isn’t done. They canceled the first day because they said their equipment was faulty. They rescheduled and had to cancel again because of rain... and now the job isn’t even done and they’ve been here multiple days.
2. This is our second night without air conditioning in Phoenix. They unhooked the A/C unit to spray under it and when they moved it back it didn’t work. Instead of remedying the situation, it’s now going on two days (and nights) without air.
3. They left trash all over the yard and sent some random person to come pick up his trailer that he was letting “Joel” borrow... it wasn’t even the company’s trailer. ??? There’s still a huge piece of plywood in our driveway.
4. I just bought brand new patio furniture and apparently they didn't think to tell me the polyurethane spray would get everywhere- so now it’s covered in little white dots.

This has been a really awful experience. I hope the roof doesn’t leak. LOL We shall see come monsoons.

We unfortunately had no choice in which roofing company re-did the roof as our landlord chose.

Update: the roof is now completed. Kyle, the spray foam guy, was the only professional guy I talked to. He was helpful and answered my questions.

Jack, the owner, cursed and yelled at me on my property. This is not an exaggeration. He was very aggressive and threatening and I was scared that he might physically assault me on my own property. He is incredibly unprofessional, disrespectful and rude.

My flat roof was recoated by Jack the Roofer and is under warranty. I discovered a water leak in one of my rooms. I notified Jack the Roofer and it took several emails and phone calls and voicemails, over 3 weeks, before they came out, unannounced, to inspect my roof and the water damage. Then it took another week to 'repair' the area.

When he came to repair, I asked Jack, the owner, what is considered an acceptable amount of ponding on my flat roof. He told me everything is fine. I asked him for the specification, because the code in Maricopa states that in either 48 or 72 hours, all ponding should be gone. My roof has ponding beyond 5 days. Jack told me I don't know what the *curse word* I'm talking about, he's the *curse word* owner, who the *curse word* am I, and on and on. All this just because I'm asking him, the Licensed contractor, what the licensing board says is acceptable ponding, because I'm worried about the rest of my roof. I told him he has no right to curse at me and closed my door. His workers finished their light recoating and left without notice.

I have video and photographic evidence of the out of code ponding on my roof. Jack can talk and talk about being in the business for 35 years, but if he is doing work out of code, it doesn't matter.

Do business with someone else, because Jack the owner is just awful.

Jack and his company are standouts in a troubled industry. My experience is that they will do the right thing for the right reason I will recommend the to my best friend and their hardest critic. I believe Jack is more concered about doing the right thing than padding his pocket!

I have been frustrated with this company for months! Do NOT hire them for ANY flat roof services. The initial work they did was half of what was contracted. After 4 months of arguing, they finally came back to finish the job. I wish they hadn't. They didn't prep the surfaces they came back to complete and still left areas uncoated that were in the contract. After telling me that the material isn't good to use on stucco they applied it anyway.
The bigger problem is the material itself. Water beads up and sits on the roof wherever there is the smallest dip in the roof surface and doesn't drain properly. The mosquitos are the only ones happy as they have a paradise for breeding.
Update: The fact that it took the company over a year to respond speaks volumes!

We just had a new roof installed on our home. Jack’s crew were very detailed and courteous. They answered questions we had throughout the week and cleaned up the debris daily, and this was no small feat considering they had to take off a 30+ year old roof before installing the new. The roof replacement was understandably a long and loud process but once they started they finished expeditiously and worked around the clock to be as efficient as possible. At the final inspection, Jack noticed additional damage on the eaves due to bees on our plants and swiftly replaced it as well. We could not be more pleased. This was our 4th home using Jack and I have referred him to others, both residential and commercial, and heard similar results.

Jack Rufino did not stand by his word or warranty when it came to correcting the problems I experienced after his company, Jack the Roofer, replaced my roof. While he did correct 2 deficiencies after numerous calls and trips to my home, the worst problem was not corrected and he refuses to respond to my requests that he fix it. Since the new roof was installed, there has been a flapping noise near the skylight. This noise is very loud inside my home on windy days. Save yourself money and aggravation and call someone reliable.

Very poor customer service. They have a convoluted communication system in which they don't speak directly to you, but in circuitous methods. I agree with another review on here. I had no idea what or when they were doing work even though I was at home the whole time. The one time I tried to look outside I saw a propane tank roll off the roof into the pool. We are still trying to pay the bill. Warning: they charge extra to pay by credit card. We tried to mail a check but they have multiple addresses. Of course we sent it to the wrong one and now they expect us to send another check even though our first one disappeared. All of this could be made so much easier if they talked person-to-person, but they don't seem to do that! Very frustrated.

Jack the Roofer is an AMAZING roofing company! We highly recommend them! Not only are they so helpful and kind, but they do a wonderful job. Never will you fear servicing your roof, because you can always count on their expert-level of work, and you can trust that they will provide the very best service there is!

I recently moved into my new home and during the first rain we had a roof leak in our kitchen. I called Jack the Roofer at 8:00am and they had a inspector out there in a couple of hours and the repair was completed by 3:00pm the Same Day. Great customer service too. They called me three separate times to first confirm the location in the house where the leak was, second to let me know they had been out my home and to have me authorize the repair and third to let me know the repair had been completed. I went on the roof when I got home and found the repair to be done very well and they even patched a 2nd area as a courtesy they said may be a problem in the future. Great roofer, would recommend to anyone.

3 years going strong! Not only were they fantastic to deal with, but the roof has been holding strong and still looks great. Great folks who were accommodating and friendly. Highly recommended.

Disappointed with customer service... This is not the first time this has happened to me over the past few months, but have the most details on days/number of times called... Started out noticing a nice sized bubble on an interior wall near our front door, and because our roof was warranted for 30 years from Jack the Roofer and we aren't even close to end of this warranty gave him a call to see if he could come out and inspect on 2/24/17. I was told that he was backlogged and that they would be out sometime the next week to take a look at this for us. By 3/3 no call/no show, called back to see if I could get an ETA on when to expect him to come out and inspect. Was told that he would be giving me a call shortly to discuss. No Call/No Show again, tried again on 3/10, same party line, took my information and I should expect to hear back from Jack when he gets a moment. Fast forward to 3/24, still haven't heard anything, still hasn't shown up to take a look. So called on 3/24, and was told that Jack would definitely be giving me a call back to set up an appointment. It is now 3/30 and I STILL haven't heard anything. By this point, I have already attempted to repair the roof myself (though I really want a professional to look at it) and repaired the wall where the water was leaking in to. With the last round of rain, everything looks ok, but this is the most piss-poor customer service I have ever received in my life. Again this is not the first time this has happened to me... Also had a leak back in December and once again, no-call/no-show for weeks... Finally ended up fixing myself and then about a week later a guy shows up and starts stomping around on my roof... Had no idea he was even there if I hadn't heard him walking around (a little freaky to say the least)... This was not Jack, but rather a "contractor" that he hires out to look at maintenance items... Guy left a bead of goop around the fireplace (where the leak was occurring) and left without saying anything more. This has been a very frustrating experience... Looking back over the reviews that are coming in, looks like I am not the only one experiencing these issues. So much for a warranty on my roof if I can't even get a call back to discuss my concerns let alone try to get a date/time for an appointment.

Uses scare tactics, provides fraudulent information, and overall terrible customer service!

After multiple reschedules and a no-show, a worker came to my home unannounced, violating their own contract. The worker did not say a word to me when he arrived and just suddenly left in the afternoon. I have no idea what work was done and there was no further contact until I received an invoice days later. After multiple failed attempts of requesting documentation and an explanation of the work done, I finally requested someone come over with me present to document what was done. I later found out that owner Jack Ruffino had already been over the day prior to photograph, without my permission, and therefore trespassing on my property.

After reviewing the photographs, they didn't even cover the full scope of work. After various emails and a phone call from Mr. Ruffino, we finally had an appointment for him to be at the property on walk through what work was done, document it, and for us to attempt to settle the dispute. Mr. Ruffino did not show and did not attempt to contact me in any way.

I emailed them again to express my dissatisfaction and to remind them that I would not be available the rest of the afternoon due to work obligations. They claimed Mr. Ruffino had lost track of time with a client and was on his way, but at this point our scheduled time had passed and I had other work obligations. Mr. Ruffino responded that "he was tired of playing games" and that he would be placing lien on my property and sending me to collections, even though he was the one who had no-showed our appointment.

I offered to resolve the issue multiple times if they would compromise on the final price, since there was no evidence of what work was performed and the service had been terrible - each attempt was ignored.

A few days later, I received a FRAUDULENT AZ Preliminary Twenty Day Lien Notice for the full amount, even though the work had been performed more than 20 days prior..Mr. Ruffino even admitted to the time frame of the job in an email he sent.

Buying a new home. The inspection gave me a vague about the roof. I found this roofer from Google local places. I called. He went out the next day to do an inspection.. a 2nd independent inspection. He advised me my roof IS in good shape. Just great service. Very fast. Didn't try to take advantage of me (I wouldn't know a good roof from a bad!). Nice to know an honest roofer is out there. Highly recommend. Linda
