I had the pleasure of working with Eric and his team for the design and installation of solar panels on my home, and I couldn’t be more impressed with their service. From start to finish, the entire team was incredibly professional, efficient, responsive and friendly. They took the time to thoroughly explain the process, answer all of my questions, and work with me to customize a solar solution that perfectly fit my needs. Their technicians were not only knowledgeable but also clearly cared about doing a great job and ensuring I was completely satisfied with every detail.

What most stood out for me was that they truly care about delivering high-quality work and making sure their clients are happy - not just with the installation but on an ongoing basis.

Insight Solar is the best solar company that we dealt with. Their salesperson was honest and informative. Our electric bill has been very low, and when we have to pay for electricity, that cost and the cost of the loan do not equal the electric costs prior to getting solar. The installers were respectful of the property and our wishes. We just had a solar bill review and learned even more about solar. We have a well and could not install their hydro unit but we hope the technology improves, so in the future we can use that system to firther reduce our energy costs. Thank you Insight Solar.

My experience with Insight Solar has been excellent. We selected them after going through a bid process using the EnergySage site. Insight's bid was the most thoughtful, and they worked with us to design a system that fit our home and our budget. Installation on our historic home was seamless. Fifteen months later, the system is exceeding expectations. We use it to power our minisplits for cooling and heating and for charging our EV. Our utility costs have nearly disappeared. We highly recommend Insight Solar.

We have resisted solar companies for literally 25+ years. The approach from the sales people always felt so slimy, like I was at a time share tour haha. Well on a recommendation from a friend we reached out to the owner of Insight Solar, Eric, because as my friend said, "out location was literally the best possible spot for solar" After a no sales pitch, no pressure 1st meeting with Eric we finally took the plunge. If you’re looking to get solar installed this is the company you want to use. I decided I wanted solar 2 years ago and actually signed contracts with 2 different companies and cancelled them the same day because I was so hesitant. They seemed like just used car salesman . They just wanted to sell me something but really weren’t that informative about the products they were selling.Installing solar is a financial investment and I wanted to make sure it was done right with a company I could trust. I found Insight Energy Systems and gave them a call. After talking to Aaron Lempert I was convinced this was the company for me. I was very impressed at how knowledgeable he was about every aspect of the installation. He answered all of my questions and gave me so much information I felt comfortable immediately to go forward with the project. My panels even come with a really good warranty.It’s been a couple of years and I couldn’t be happier with my solar. I’m saving so much money and also lowering my carbon footprint so it’s a win win for me. Aaron Lempert still checks in periodically and lets me know how my panels are performing. Insight Energy systems keeps track to make sure my panels are producing the energy they told me they would in the beginning. I would encourage anyone to give this company a try.

Insight Solare was so easy to work with. Everything was well explained and laid out for you, we didn't have to wait long for installation. We haven't had an electric bill since out solar was turned on. Needles to say, getting solar through Insigh Solar was one of the best decisions we've made.

This company (Insight Solar) is fantastic! Responsible, thorough, knowledgeable and responsive to requests for information. I have had two minor issues, which is expected for such a complicated system, and they addressed them immediately. I bought the system outright in September of 2020 and am extremely satisfied with the results. I have not paid an electric bill for four years and currently have a $1500 credit from Eversource for electricity I can use however and whenever I wish.

Insight Energy made the whole process painless. My solar panels were installed and turned on about a year and a half ago. They have generated more energy than I use. I haven’t paid an electricity bill since. They also did work for two of my neighbors and we have all been extremely satisfied with the work done.

Deceptive proposal: Insight Solar presented a deceptive proposal for solar panels on our house causing us a burden of unexpected costs.
We think solar is a great way to generate electricity, and we're all in favor of solar panels.
Our main concern was cost and what happens if you sell your house.
These are excerpts from the proposal from Matt Herman of Insight Solar:
............."this is a fully transferable loan at .99% interest ........"
Fact: Should we sell the house, we have to pay balance of the loan. A new owner would need to obtain a loan at whatever the going interest rate.

"either loan payment would eliminate the average $165 a month you are now paying national grid. keep in mind the $165 is alsocontinuing to rise with inflation ."
Fact: Loan payments total about $1300 annually, which nets out to maybe an annual saving of $600

Fact: In the months of Nov., Dec., Jan, Feb. and Mar., less solar power is produced because there's less daylight on the panels.

Fact: In the months of Nov., Dec., Jan, Feb. and Mar, we get a bill from National Grid for KWH's not generated by the panels.

Conclusion: Solar Panels are good. The encumberance and net cost are not good.

Thank you for responding. The part of the proposal that is deceptive is that the loan DOES NOT transfer at .99% interest. Check with my lender. Anyone to whom the loan would transfer, would have to apply for the loan, and the interest rate WOULD NOT be .99 %, but would be whatever interest rate for which they qualify, and current interest rates are quite high. This means that
a buyer would need to get a loan for the solar panels. When the house is sold, we will have to pay the balance of the loan we have on the solar panels. I wouldn't think a new buyer would want to pay for the solar panels, would you?

I couldn't be happier with my solar panel system from Insight! Adam Zucker was awesome to work with from start to finish. He is extremely knowledgeable and was always available to answer questions and make solid recommendations. The construction crew was terrific. The whole system was installed in a half day and everything looks beautiful. I'm now

two months in and my electric bills have virtually disappeared. I'm really happy to support a local company and definitely recommend Insight Solar!

Just to follow up, my system has been in place for a year now and everything has been perfect! My electric bill has been zero every month and I have actually accrued a credit of about $500 for overproduction. All of the federal and state tax credits have come through. Adam has followed up with me several times to make sure everything was going well. I can't recommend Adam and Insight Energy highly enough. I only wish I had put the system in years ago!

Insight solar are liars. It's been a year with Solar now. I've waited a year to write a review and see how everything shook out. So far I'm slightly net-positive for going solar (because of the ONE TIME federal tax credit). However, NOT WORTH IT, if I could turn back time and not do it I would. Before you move forward with solar, my two cents:
-there WILL BE a lien against your home
-they will lie/inflate about savings to sell you panels
-work with your tax professional BEFORE you start working with solar installers
-DONT USE INSIGHT

We began the search for a second set of solar panels because our first set, from Vivint originally but now Sunrun, weren’t producing enough to cover much of our electric bill if any. Very disappointing. Sunrun came out and that experience was also disappointing so I began to search for a local company and came across Insight Solar. Eric helped us with every step of the process and it was effortless. The installers were great and I was informed of everything that was happening by them
and also by the people in the office. Stephanie and Kate were great with keeping me informed of the last steps and Stephanie walked me step by step how to turn on the panels. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is interested in solar.

Insight just completed an installation on our house. All the employees were friendly and responsive from start (Brad) to finish (Stephanie), answering questions promptly and dealing with any hiccups along the way. We're now generating power, and all in all the process has been pretty seamless. Highly recommend!

Brad and his team did a great job. There were a few hiccups but it was taken care of promptly. I would not hesitate to recommend Insight and would use them again if I ever move. the main reason for picking them originally was the separate insurance plan which is critical as my son bought a home with solar and the company who installed it went out of business and there was no warranty so he had to pay out of pocket for repairs.

I worked with Adam Zucker who was very open, honest, and helpful throughout the process. The Insight Solar team was able to install the system in just a few days and were very helpful and courteous.

Unfortunately due to delays from Eversource, the system took a long time to activate and there were additional costs to make Eversource compatible to allow solar production at my property.

I would definitely recommend Adam and the team at Insight Solar, but would suggest that you prepare for Eversource to drag their feet on finalizing the connection.

I have mixed feelings about this company. The install guys get 5 stars. A nice clean and professional job. The relationship and communi ations started out good but went down hill. I am a numbers person and want to understand how the magic of solar works. They setup me up with him the Solar Edge app. When I started experimenting with it I found out the panels installed were not what I was quoted. They were good panels but not not as good as what I thought I was suppose to be getting. We were able to work out settlement. I had questions and issues with the app. I felt it isn't reporting the system performance accurately, plus I wanted to be able to reconcile the numbers generated by Solar Edge to my Eversource bill. I didn't feel I received the proper technical support I needed from them and had to deal with Solar Edge and Eversource myself to get this support. To some degree, I felt like trust me it all works. I'm expecting it will.

All of my dreams have come true! Adam an his team have been awesome from start to finish and we are saving the planet!

I chose Insight because they were willing to adapt to my preferences for certain solar equipment and still provide the best price over other quotes I received.
When issues arose due to supply-chain problems across the whole industry, Insight help me find substitute panels that were even better than the original quoted panels for the same cost.
Their installers are very professional and everything was quickly setup and functioning. They were very flexible at working around my schedule for roof and electrical panel contractors.
Insight managed the process of getting me connected to the grid and registered with the best solar energy-credit program.

Insight solar came and did an inspection for a quote for an EV charger installation. That was probably two weeks ago. They never actually gave us a quote, they never answer the phone, and they never return messages.

If you like responsiveness and good customer service, definitely go with someone else.

We spent months comparing solar installers across the Pioneer Valley, Western Massachusetts and the Albany area. I am not lying when I say I interviewed a dozen vendors. And, there is no doubt that Insight Solar was the most professional and accommodating company. They performed admirably.

Every step was professional from the business discussions through to the installation. Let me tell you that it can seem quite complicated at times. They worked through it all and never made me feel stupid.

Probably the best thing about them is that they kept working with me to make things right. When there was a problem, they kept working to fix it even after they were paid.

From my first contact with Insight Solar's Brad Carmody, aka Brad the Solar Guy, I had a delightful and easy experience. The office staff was communicative and responsive. The hand-offs were seamless, the installation was fast, the details were well managed, the permits and forms taken care of, the hook-ups were handled with the utility company, and I'm now generating more solar power than I use. The entire team at Insight Solar held my hand held the entire way and can't imagine a better customer experience. I'm very happy.

We were always intrigued by the idea of solar, but were wary of the price and the headaches with installation and getting permits. Insight Solar made it all super easy and convenient.

Adam, Christina, Leah and the Insight team handled everything from the initial consultation to the permits to the financing to scheduling our installation. Our biggest concern was that we needed a new roof before getting the install done. Insight even handled scheduling that part of the process for us. It was also more affordable than we expected (even with the new roof rolled in).

Best of all, we're expecting to save around $1200/year on our electric bill and 100% offset our energy output with our new solar system. Our only regret about solar — we wish we had done this 10 years ago.

P.S. — The SolarEdge app is pretty cool, too. You can constantly monitor your solar output and also see what you're producing by the day, week, month and year.

I worked with Adam Zucker from Insight Solar for our installation this past year. He was very helpful, knowledgable and attentive throughout the whole process. He made time for a few zoom calls so we could really iron out the details of the install and discuss the different pricing and size options. The team that did the install was very professional and we've been happily producing our own solar power since June. I highly recommend working with Adam Z and the whole Insight Solar team. I also really love the app and how I can track our daily/monthly/yearly output straight from my phone.

Everyone at Insight Solar was great, from explaining what we could expect from our system to installation. We are just entering our third month with the system and our electric bill is less than a third of what it used to be (and that's with all the rain we had in July!) Happy we made this environmentally friendly change.

It was a great experience working with Insight Solar. The entire process was effortless and the customer service was great. My wife and I are very satisfied with the final outcome of the installation. The color of the panels match the shingles very well and they are not hurting the overall appearance of the house at all. Adam was extremely helpful and really appreciate for the whole project.

We became interested in solar after seeing generic advertisements online. My husband filled out some sort of questionnaire online and soon, we were contacted by Adam from Insight Solar.

We set up a meeting, got all the information, and began coming up with questions to follow up on. I was VERY skeptical of the whole process. I have heard horror stories about solar contracts and people owing thousands of dollars on top of what they should. I asked Adam MANY questions, did my own independent research, asked family and friends for advice, and finally, somewhat reluctantly (because I was still super nervous) agreed to move forward with the process.

We decided to have the roof redone prior to to the panels being put on (but it was all part of the process and the whole thing was managed by Insight, so the costs were lumped in too...meaning the tax return covered the roof too...). I called many roofers to get quotes outside of the solar deal, asked the roofers about pros and cons of solar and priced things out separately. I also got completely separate solar quotes from different companies.

Here are some important take aways from my whole experience.

1. Roofers had nothing but positive things to say about solar. If done correctly, your roof is not negatively impacted by solar panels.

2. Lumping the roof in with the solar meant for the 26% tax credit to account for the cost of the new roof too!

3. Insight not only had the best process, materials, support, and prices, they completely compared my other quotes and went through every bit of information from other companies to compare to their own. In the end, the other company seemed cheaper, but the product was of much lower quality and the interest rate was MUCH higher, so in the end, I would have paid a lot more. Insight got me an interest rate of 1% through the bank they work with.

4. Adam, Leah, and others from Insight were extremely patient with me, all my insecurities, questions, hesitations, and saw the project through from beginning to end...and even continue to follow up with me to ensure my continued happiness.

5. We signed all papers by the end of October and the whole project (roof and panels) was done by December, turned on by January, and I've had a $0 electric bill since February. I even get a small monthly check FROM National Grid. Even this summer, sometimes running 3 air conditioners all night a few times. The whole process, from beginning to end, despite starting in Winter and during COVID, went extremely quickly and smoothly. Insight handled everything with the roofers, the town, the permits...everything!

6. I would HIGHLY recommend Insight Solar if you would like to find out more information about beginning your journey with solar!

Aaron Lempert was great. We decided to go with Insight Solar because of his detailed and patient explanation of the entire process. I wanted to learn as much as I could to determine if going solar was a good option for me. I spoke with 3 different companies to compare information, Insight being one of them. I chose Insight for a few important reasons. Of course, the price was important, although I think they were all pretty comparable, Insights was the best option for me. Although, one company was outrageous in their offer when including the price of a new roof. Insights offer with a roof included was better, but I had my own roof guy in my family so I didn’t need that option. Another BIG reason was Petrus, my sales rep. He was super informative and patient with me trying to understand everything...always! And he wasn’t pressuring a sales pitch on me like one of the other companies I spoke with. He explained everything in terms that were understandable and what the whole process would be like. Petrus, from Insight, was confident with the plan for my panels and gave me the information I needed to make an educated decision. I felt confident that I was doing the right thing! I’m very happy with Insight Solar and if everyone is like Petrus, you’ll have a good experience in your solar journey with Insight! I would also like to mention what everyone really wants to know…..since my solar has been up and running since March I have not owed anything on my electric bill. I have been accruing credits that will definitely help out in the winter months when the sun isn't at its strongest. Also, I received my first SMART check a few months after installation.

June of 2021 solar was installed on our home by Insight Solar. Although I'm still waiting for the final connection from Eversource to start capturing the sun with the system installed, my experience has been awesome. From day one working with John B. has been flawless. Every time I had a question I would text or email John B and he would respond right away with honest straight forward answers. My process from initial site inspection to install was smooth. Day of install very friendly crew showed up on time and ready to get the job done. This company was amazing to work with, always answered all of my questions and really worked with me to get my solar panels. My solar rep Tony was always one txt away if I had any questions about anything from updates on the project to any little questions I had about the installation. Petrus Slaghekke, from Insight Solar, was wonderful to work with. He was patient and attentive as we examined the feasibility of starting a solar project at the present time. He educated us thoroughly as to the benefits of solar on our completely South-facing roof and reviewed in detail what we might expect for rebates, incentives , etc.
He encouraged us to look at creating a plan that could be both financially feasible and explained the ins and outs of obtaining a Solar loan, if we desired.
He shared with us how we might include the cost of re-roofing, which was recommended due to its age, into our total solar project plans. There were several instances when we requested alternative estimates for different lay outs and he always responded quickly and thoroughly to our requests.
Bottom line, Petrus struck a great balance between being very personable along with very professional at the same time. He was attentive to our particular situation without the salesperson-pressure that can accompany these kinds of interactions. We highly recommend working with Petrus of Insight Solar when exploring using solar power for your future energy needs.

As promised by Aaron Lempert, Insight Solar delivered. We were not an easy installation, an antique farmhouse and barns. They handled everything, engineering, permits, contractors,incentive paperwork. The contractors they provided were competent and most importantly, listened to our concerns and modified plans to accommodate them. The system has worked flawlessly.

Insight Solar is awesome, from Pat who explained everything to us without pressuring us, to the guys that came to the house to complete the install and made the system seamlessly fit onto the house, and Kate and Leah at the office who answered all of my questions quickly and accurately, they are all great people and very professional. I would and I have recommended Insight Solar to family and friends.

In the next few days the last step of the process to have solar electricity generated at our home will be completed. The electric utility company will come, install the new meter, and turn on the solar array. We have had a very good experience with Insight Solar. When we contacted the company our initial intake was done by Aaron Lempert. He guided us expertly though the early stages of figuring out if our home was a good match for solar, and how the design and financial phases would go. He and everyone else who we had contact with were very professional and great to work with. Leah and Cristina in the office and the electricians and panel installers all worked hard to complete the project during cold and rain and the pandemic. We could not be more thankful to all of you!

Our sales rep, Brad, was attentive and patient with all of our questions, always available for a call, excellent at clarifying in layperson terms all of the steps involved. Eric and Leah were also very helpful throughout the process. The install happened as they said it would, within the timeframe and cost estimated. I am so happy I went with insight solar, I got a new 50 year roof and solar panels and I'm locked in at 168 a month when my electric bill was already between 150 to 170, in 5 years it would have been well over 200, it just makes sense, the roof and panels were done with professionalism and look stunning, our salesman Petrus is wonderful and very knowledgeable, we felt so comfortable working with him, he will go above and beyond to answer every question, and he is with you the whole way too, now instead of an electric bill we are actually receiving credit from the electric company, the Insight website let's you keep track of your usage which is really neat, I recommend Insight 100%.

Petrus Slaghekke was our Energy Advisor at Insight Solar. He came to our house and took the time to explain the details of how home solar works, the costs, the benefits, and the current incentive programs. He then provided us with a specific analysis of the amount of energy our property could produce. Unfortunately, due to the amount of trees and shade on our property, the project was not cost effective. Petrus, to his credit, pointed this out and recommended other ways for us to try and reduce our carbon footprint. The overall experience was rewarding and we plan on recommending Petrus and Insight Solar to our friends.

I recently installed a 12.4 KW system after having a new roof installed. Insights solar analysis located my array in the optimum location to ensure I would be able to produce more electricity than I normally use. This earns me credits that equate into money in my pocket. The entire team is very experienced, answered all of my questions and concerns and they treat you like family. I would highly recommend them. I have spent my career in aviation and am very picky about doing things right the first time. They exceeded my expectations. I've been working with Aaron Lempert for the past month to begin the process of moving to solar. He has been extremely helpful, and is exceedingly knowledgeable about all aspects of the application/transition process. He's also just a genuinely kind, personable human being. Dealing with "salespeople" - Aaron's card reads "Solar Advisor, and that seems much more fitting - can be daunting, but this wasn't that sort of experience. It was apparent to me early on that Aaron had my best interests at heart, and wasn't trying to foist anything on me. It's also clear that Insight Solar isn't like a lot of other companies.

I'm really excited to get my system installed and activated!
