If you live in Alabama, you know how much wind and rain we have had over the last few months. I was awakened by a tree hitting my roof early one morning. Since we live on a preserve, the tree had fallen over our fence, hit the roof and destroyed the gutter on the East side of the house. I didn’t know who to call but my insurance company suggested Idea roofing. Sonny came out and told me he could take care of everything. Do not use this roofing company they will rip you off.
Then they will try to make themselves seem professional and tell you the problem they "think" it is without even getting on the roof to look they want you to tell what's wrong? Like you're supposed to know what needs to be. We got a 2nd opinion that came out 2 hours after calling them and it wasn't even close to what we were told! Worked out better for us in tje long run. People do your research before using this place.

The so called owner Micah has the worst attitude. As soon as he realized we had a warranty he stated there was no way he could do the repairs made all kinds of excuses and changed the schedule from the 1st to indefinite. Why buy a warranty if you the company refuses to honor it. I question his business ethics. We will be getting legal advice on this.
I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.

I woke up Memorial Day morning with a small water stain leak in my master bedroom of my home and immediately panicked and trying to find someone to at least respond and get something set up for this week. Found Ideal Roofing on Google. Submitted a request form and received a phone call within a couple hours. Micah was so quick to reply and was also readily available to drive to the house and look to see what he can do! When we spoke he was kind, direct, honest and very helpful! He offered very affordable work and was able to have my issue fixed within 24 hours of my request! I will NEVER go to anyone else! Ideal is local, reliable, affordable and trustworthy! I will always be recommending them for anyone who needs the help!

Micah and Ideal Roofing was so great. He responded to my call/text almost immediately and was at our house within a couple hours to diagnose a small leak on our roof—even on a holiday. He was thorough and found the problem both inside and outside. He then patched up the problem to come later and fix the problem in the next couple days. I knew of Idea Roofing’s reputation as a professional and friendly company. With the recent storms we noticed a small leak coming through a smoke detector in the ceiling. Less than an hour after submitting an online request through their website, Micah called and said he’d come by in the next hour.
Micah found the leak and replaced a deteriorating rubber collar around and exhaust pipe. He showed us pictures and explained items that he suggested we have repaired. Owning a home comes with a lot of responsibility. And it takes people like Micah, and companies like Idea Roofing that help ease anxiety and maintain our dreams.

I had an excellent experience with Idea Roofing. I had a business card I received from them by way of door to door visit. I text Sonny and received a call back soon after. I stated I had two shingles which needed repaired. He stated one of his men would be out to get on the roof and check it out. He stated when they would be out and they did come out when he stated. He checked it out and repaired the shingles. Through it all, they were honest and fair. I told the gentleman, when I need anyone for roof work, they have my business. From my dealings with Idea Roofing, I would highly recommend them.

Wind damage from storms? Need a roof replacement? Use Idea Roofing!

From my first phone call with Micah Harris, to the day our roof was replaced- the team at Idea Roofing went above and beyond my expectations. During the planning phase, Micah sat down with us to review the details of our roof replacement. He coordinated everything through our insurance company- we didn’t need to do anything else.

The day of the roof replacement, a large team arrived at sunrise ready for work. They took extra steps to protect our property by laying down tarps to cover our flower beds and make cleanup easier. The team worked efficiently throughout the day to get our roof replaced. We needed to have several sheets of plywood replaced due to rot, but Micah kept us informed via phone as he heard from the team foreman. Their operation and communication during the process was top-notch.

Cleanup is a big part of the effort (kids, nails in feet- those don’t go together too well.) After finishing the job, they used a magnet to sweep for any stray nails, ensuring my yard was spotless. It was dark as they finished, so another team of three came the next morning to ensure all nails were captured. That team worked for four hours to make sure our yard was clear! The yard was literally spotless after they finished, and I found very little waste in the weeks that followed. It was impressive judging by how the yard looked during the roof tear-down.

I went to them from there reviews. Very nice and indicated I needed to reach out to insurance co because it looked like I had wind and hail damage. I do have a place in my roof that is leaking and sunk down. I was also looking to get a new fence and they do that too much said helena fence. So insurance said not enough damage that insurance would pay. So I reached out to Micah via text and told him and said we needed to talk that he could reach out to me on Thursday eve. He was going to work up price for fence also. Anyways I haven't had any response from him.
So the only thing I can assume is since insurance wasn't going to pay he doesn't want the job.

Great people at this company. Many roofing companies are not interested in smaller repair jobs. Not the case with Idea...they will take care of you promptly and personally. I recently had them out to look at some shingle damage after a wind storm. Repairs were made same day and price was reasonable.
