H&Y Contracting LLC

We hired H&Y to finish our basement last month and they have done a wonderful job. The project was completed within our expected timeframe with all paperwork for County permits and coordination of inspections handled smoothly by H&Y.

It was primarily framing, drywall and painting. Being the basement, it came with its typical challenges to work around ducts and beams. The basement has a very professional and clean appearance now.

What impressed me most was H&Y's commitment to do the job without my having to push them. At the same time, they were able to adjust their schedule to our convenience on a couple of occasions. We have had a very bad contractor experience in the past - just like everyone else - and that had made us very skeptical about all contractors in general. The very positive experience with H&Y has redeemed my opinion of contractors in general.

The other thing that impressed me was their commitment to quality. Almost every member of their crew took pride in their work and remediated even small anomalies that we couldn't even see until they pointed out to us. The crew was very polite and friendly throughout the entire project. Where we requested a couple of modifications outside our skillset about construction, they were able to accommodate without violating any code.

They also handled the paperwork and inspections with the county from start to finish smoothly. We are used to doing these sort of things ourselves but it would have been a mistake if we had tried that in this case. Glad they talked us into them doing it right at the beginning.

Last but not least, the management was very responsive. Most often, I received a response to my text messages within the hour. And they answered my calls or called back quickly when they couldn't. Definitely by the end of the work day in the worst case if they were busy at a work site or in client meetings during the day.

I had my kitchen, living room and dining room remodeled by H&Y contracting. They were very responsive and were quick at setting an appointment to comeout and provide estimates. Their services are reasonably priced, strar times are flexible and not too far out in the future and overall project length was around 3 weeks which is to be expected for a larger project. Overall I'm very happy with the final results, my house looks great and they did a quality work with attention to the details. Will definitely contract again in the future for my construction needs.
