Tyler and his team made it as easy as such a large project can be. Three full days of air sealing my attic and then insulating with new materials. Always on time. Always kept me in the loop. Respected my home, my property, and my animals. Felt like the old days when people took pride in their work, their products, and services. Some call it old fashioned, but it works every time.

HSI was a pleasure to work with for a situation that was not a pleasure. We had mold in our attic from condensation and they came in and took care of everything! My grandson has asthma so they were extra careful to keep dust enclosed. They cleaned up after themselves both days and left my steps looking better than they had before they came so double plus.

Awesome communication. Great work and very attentive. Riley and Gus installed an insololated bathroom fan and vent. Showed me pictures and everything. They cleaned up and everything was done within an hour, highly recommend.

Very impressed with H.S.I.! I wanted to have the garage attic in my new construction home insulated. My initial call to HSI was answered by a pleasant person that said someone could come out that same day to give me an in-person estimate. Zach arrived at my home that afternoon, did a good walk-through of my attic, taking several pictures, and then gave us a thorough estimate and explanation of everything that was going on in my attic, and what they could do for us. He was very thorough and professional. We decided to go with the full package of having all of the holes for ceiling light fixtures, and any other openings sealed up with foam, then several attic chutes we’re installed with insulation around them to preserve the airflow in the attic, and then 18 inches of cellulose insulation was blown-in to give us an R-60 insulation rating. They also included double insulation on the back of my access door to the attic, with a foam seal around the edges of the door to ensure no air leaks. Riley and Gus did the work, and they both had a positive, can-do attitude. They listened to a few concerns I had before they began the job, and they not only addressed all of those, but even went above and beyond, and did more than I was expecting. They did a fabulously thorough job, and showed me multiple pictures of their progress throughout the day. I enjoyed interacting with them, they’re a couple of really good guys! The work was just completed today, so I haven’t had a chance to get some heat going out in the garage, but I’m sure it’s going to stay much warmer than it did before. Everyone at HSI is superb at what they do, and I highly recommend them.

They were very professional, they were able to move our installation up several weeks, they had everything done in one day and were very careful about getting all debris and nails picked up. They even took notes about our dogs and made sure all gates were closed at the end. Very happy with everything.

Work with HSI at your own risk. We gave the contractor a 10% deposit ($679)over a year ago. We opted to cancel and have been asking for our deposit back since Oct 2023. The contract did not state that the deposit was non refundable. Yet over one year later they still have not returned our money. They will keep your deposit regardless of no mention of non refundable in the contract.
The owner reached out and offered to refund $179 of the $679 deposit we paid 13 months ago if we agreed to amend our review.

Home Solutions of Iowa was great to work with for our projects. Dan was very thorough in his initial review of work needing to be done. On the project day, Orlando was very communicative on where they were at in the process and even provided progress pictures. After a few months, we ran into another issue and while other companies gave us differing opinions with no investigation, Dan and Matt were kind enough to come back out to physically inspect the issue, provide us with a solution and answer any questions we had. While working with a different trade contractor to perform final fixes, Ted provided flexibility with the other contractor and assisted us with the insulation piece. Throughout the process, we have felt very taken care of and are very appreciative of the time and effort the team provided.

Darius was our gutter installer for our house project. I can’t thank him enough for the outstanding work he did on our house. Great guy and his professionalism was hands down.

This is the second home we’ve gotten leaf guard gutters on through HSI. From the customer service, to the salesman and technicians, everyone is so nice and professional. We opted in for the dark gutters, they had a few different color options. The neighbors also complimented how good the gutters looked! Great experience overall and will always recommend.

Completely satisfied with the repair work HSI accomplished on our gutter system. It had contact damage due to some unrelated work. The HSI Consultant, Sam, was very personable and extremely helpful in determining the repair estimate. He was available for follow-up questions. I couldn't be any more pleased with the construction crew who came to make the repairs. Rueben, Mike, & Liam were very friendly and professional. They called ahead to coordinate with us before coming to our house. In doing so, they arrived when they said they would. Before beginning, they reviewed with us the work they came to accomplish, to include some service work due to an unrelated project. The crew was prepared, organized, and efficient in completing the necessary repairs. Rueben, Mike, & Liam, worked as a team and were sure to clean up the area before leaving. On their completion, they reviewed the project we me to be sure they had taken care of everything we expected. They did!

We just got done having home solutions of Iowa put a new deck on our townhouse and they did an absolutely excellent job workmanship is very professional and timely. Finished product turned out to be more than we ever expected. I highly recommend this company.

The roof, rain gutters and siding look wonderful. Just pray you don’t have to work with the office staff. The accountant is very unpleasant and difficult to work with. I was appointed administrator for an estate. The mail was forwarded to me about 2-10-24. Since that day until now I never received an invoice. Not monthly or quarterly. The house was due to close and the lawyer found a lien. Went through lots of paperwork and finally found an initialed receipt showing payments and the final balance. Interest was added per the contract but the large principal payment was not applied correctly. She would not listen, was rude and held out for her balance. Had to pay as she had the power. Well I’m taking back the power by leaving an honest review. Beware!!

I submitted a request online for a quote, and was contacted everyday by phone call and email, until I was able to answer and schedule a time for a visit (about a week, after having a very heavy schedule suddenly with work volume). The man came and took a look in the attic at the leak and damage and gave us an idea of what he thought cause was, but didn't have a ladder to get on the roof for a full inspection, which was fine, he said he would send someone out to do so within the next week to 2 weeks. Almost a month later with no word, I reached out via email and received no response. My husband called the worker directly and he apologized saying they were busy and would have someone come out in the next week. This was almost 2 months ago and no one has contacted either of us or sent anyone out to do the inspection, nor given any reason why they couldn't if that was the case. We literally are right down the street from them. I know it's very busy after the storms and rain this season, but we are just being ignored at this point and do not understand why. I'd love to give a 5 star review, however this experience has forced us to look elsewhere for assistance as they are not even providing basic level customer service.

From the quote to the actually work was exceptional everything was explained in full detail so personable and professional definitely a great experience. I had two other

From the salesman who compared whether I needed one side or both sides of my house done and the ease of doing it later based on want vs need, to the delivery agent who answered my questions concerning installation given on-site erosion, and the installers who even came back another day just to install drain tile adapters when i mentioned i was going to have it to deal with my erosion, even though i didn’t have that information on hand at the time the original order was placed, which was why it wasn’t on the truck in the first place, service was too notch. At each step, I could have gotten “normal service”, which is what we’ve come to expect in the world as of late. For instance, no price comparison, no option for financing or just leafguard instead of compared to standard gutter or why a leaf screen wouldn’t fix my issue given the tree towering overhead. Let alone when the installers went above and beyond and came back just to install the adapters. I’m glad I went with the these guys for my gutter needs!

HSI was wonderful. They helped me through the entire process from putting in my insurance claim through completing the project. Mikey and his crew were wonderful. Great sense of humor, hard-working, and very efficient. I would highly recommend HSI for your roofing needs. We have the gutters coming in next week and I’m looking forward to those as well.

We had a great experience from start to finish. The crew that came to do the estimate explained things very well. The crew always called to let us know when to expect them. Installation was finished on schedule, even though it was the hottest 3 days of summer. When they left, everthing was cleaned up perfectly. If the job hadn't looked so much better, we wouldn't have thought they'd been there.

Now we see why those reviews were there. Taylor stopped out and assisted us with our estimate which we signed up for the same day. Taylor spent his time with us and answered all of our questions patiently. The crew who are all direct staff of Home Solutions and not subs, showed up and we were pleasantly surprised. We hired Home Solutions of Iowa to remove our existing insulation from the attic, air seal all air leaks from second floor to the attic and install new cellulose insulation to a value of R-60. In preparation of this, their company also replaced flashing around our chimney to correct a water leak. Insulated ductwork was connected from 2 bathroom fans to new vents on our roof and the access cover to the attic was also weatherstripped. From the salesman to the installers, the company was very easy to work with. The job site was clean when the installers left. I’m hoping we see a reduction in our heating bills and more comfort in the summer from our air conditioning. All in all were very happy with Home Solutions of Iowa.

Ari and his assistant did an outstanding job installing a new LeafGuard Gutter which had been damaged from the EF-0 tornado that went thru our area in Johnston in May, 2024. Handled the job very quickly and cleaned up after the installation leaving everything in perfect order.

I have contacted Home Solutions of Iowa for installing a roof over my deck. Sales team came twice and then gave me an estimate. I accepted the estimate and let go of other companies / individuals and decided to go with Home Solutions of Iowa. I was asked to sign a contract and when I went to the office to sign the contract, there was all the terms and conditions and just the bill of materials. When I spoke to the Sales Director, he told he will update the contract with the relevant details and send it to me for signing. I followed up for more than 10 days and left numerous messages with the details to the staff. No response at all. Yesterday the sales person sent me a message telling that they cannot do it till fall and I have to pay more considering the price increases. They didnt even showed the courtesy to give me a call. Now I have to start the entire process again. This is really unfortunate and I would never go back to these folks for any work. Please note that the strategy of giving an estimate to secure a customer and then changing the price is not a long lasting strategy. God's grace - I came to know about the bad customer service before signing the contract. I would request the management / owners not to mislead and ghost on customers as it will leave a bad taste about the company. Adam and Corey were great people to work with and it's nice not be pressured. I usually will do things on my own to save a buck, but I can say there was a whole lot I didn't know. The crew showed up early which was nice and they even waited out the rain and still got it done even though I said they can come back. You get what you pay for and will definitely use them on our next house. Thanks again

Our initial consultation was thorough and worked with us to find a payment plan that would fit our needs. Austin and Nick did a great installation, professional interactions, answered all my questions and left the yard as clean as when they came!

Had some insulation (complete with air seal), attic chutes and soffit vents installed and they did a great job. The communication before, during and after the installation was excellent. Just wanted to let you know our experience with leaf guard gutters. We had them put on our house in 2018 when we had the house put up. We are so very satisfied and pleased with them. Not only do they look good but they are excellent quality. They are well worth the price that they cost. My husband insisted that we go with leaf guard and not some other company as they have a great reputation. Now here it is 2024 and we had, a bad hailstorm and wind. We didn’t have the big hail that they had in Mount Ayr out here on the farm but there was hail. Today, Taylor Webb from home solutions of Iowa stopped by to see if there was any damage on the gutters. He put his ladder up and checked them out and luckily there wasn’t any. But I just wanna say what great customer service. He was very pleasant and professional, and I couldn’t be happier that we decided on leaf guard. I didn’t even have to call and request that he come and look at them. Who could ask for anymore? I highly recommend leaf guard gutters to anybody looking for that type of product. When they say that they prevent the leaves from accumulating in your gutters, they mean it and it’s true. I have never had a problem with that since I’ve had them.. Anyway, thanks for listening. I just wanted to share my satisfied thoughts with anybody considering purchasing leaf guard gutters.

We requested a free estimate for insulating under our four season porch. They responded quickly and recommended a perfect solution - spray on foam insulation. Communication and follow-up for the entire project was the best I have ever seen. Riley and Sergio applied the foam paying special attention to trouble spots that we had noted during the initial estimate meeting. Thank you for a job well done!

Update 12/24: We are very happy with the work done by HSI. Our upstairs is far more comfortable now than it was in previous years, and the temperature is far more even throughout our home.

TLDR: HSI does great work, they are careful and polite, and we will do business with them again. We had new attic insulation installed. Everyone from HSI was polite, careful not to damage our home, and cleaned up after themselves. The install itself wasn’t without problems, but everyone from HSI worked without complaint to fix those problems. HSI also fixed prior damage in the attic space for a very reasonable price, which would have cost me much more to fix afterwards. We are very happy with the result and will be inclined to choose them for future projects.

Mykee and his crew did a fantastic job on our new roof. They cleaned up everything and even tucked our satellite cable back under the siding as requested. HSI has been very great to deal with and responsive. Job was scheduled quickly and the crew showed up when scheduled.

We also had HSI re-insulate our attics. The two foreman Orlando and Riley along with Nash, Tyler, and Seth did a awesome job vacumning the old insulation out, air sealing everywhere, covering gable vents, and hooking up our exhaust properly along with covering the stairwell down to the first floor. They reviewed before and after to ensure we were happy.

HSI did a great job with the installation of my new roof. They explained the whole procedure of the installation and purpose of each detail. Additionally Ari with Leaf Guard did a fanastic job with installation. Very courteous as was his co-worker Darius. They adjusted downspouts to handle heavy rain intake. Strongly recommend this product.

We recently had our insulation replaced and the crew did an amazing job. Riley, Nash, Orlando, Seth and Tyler were wonderful. In October 2015, we invested in Leaf Guard gutters. At $9134, it proved to be a tremendous improvement replacing our undersized, insufficient ones. Virtually clog free, we did have a wren build a nest and rather than have HSI come down to Centerville, we took care of it. In 2023, after the hail storm, HSI replaced them at a cost of $17742. In February, we called to have one of the down spout extensions replaced. They assured us that they would take care of it when they were in the area. At the end of March they called three times and we called back each time but they never showed up. When it comes to the sale & installation, HSI was right on it! But now with the recent snow & rain, they let us down. We could've had some one locally do it. But (let me guess) that would've voided the warranty right?

Very professional, friendly, and quick. Did a great job and I’m very excited for the future results. Went above and beyond filling in extra cracks they found in the foundation of my basement. Highly recommend.

Work was done quickly and cleaned the area up! They appear to be some heavy duty gutters that are going to stand up to some heavy snow and rain!

The Contractors from HSI put new siding on my 100 year old home. They were meticulous in ensuring the wood underneath the old siding was good before they put on the new siding. They also cleaned up there work area beautifully. This hasto be the best Siding crew in Iowa.
