We had bought materials from Home Depot for laminate flooring and stairs in our home, but their installation contractor showed inability to install telling us that the floors are uneven and that they cannot do leveling. My wife called a number of local flooring contractors and each one refused to do the needful. Finally, she googled this Home Design & Build and on calling found a positive answer from their owner, Amar. We were glad to see him visiting soon after on a weekend (as contractors rarely visit on weekends) for surveying and providing estimate of work. We liked his professional guidance in detail on resolving our flooring issue and his fair estimate. We felt him as Godsend since our household of five was left by HD party in a mess as we had squeezed everything from the working area into the non-working basement and kitchen. I and my wife work in schools and found Amar ready to work when we were away to work. Amar and one of his employees completed in 4 days as promised and Amar came to us on a weekend again in compliance to our request to take pictures of the work he conducted which were required by HD sales associate to follow up. I am all praise for Amar who is so very fun to talk besides a timely help for any stuck up project. I wish him success and keep up to his high standards of service.

I am very pleased with the work performed by Amar and his team. I had a flood in my master bedroom that led me to a remodeling project rather than a repair. After few estimates, I decided to hire HOM Design & Build. Although it was a bit more expensive than other quotes, the effort and time that Amar placed on preparing my quote, the professional product presented, the warranty offered, and reviews and recommendations from Nextdoor app users coupled with Amar’s professionalism convinced me to choose HOM Design and Build.

Amar materialized my vision of what I wanted my bathroom to look like. It took a bit longer than planned because of rerouting of water and sewer lines and required building permits and inspections. But I am extremely happy with the quality and code compliant final product. And I feel that made a new friend:).

I’m glad we came across. Just the right amount perfectionist. Also, we did run into a time issue on the finished work but it wasn’t their fault Home Depot had a delayed delivery and that’s what caused the hold up.
