Very fast reply to my initial reach reaching out and came the same day to inspect. Returned a few days later to repair and replace part of the soffit. They also took the time to secure any loose siding. Their communication is very good; they do quality work and are pleasant to communicate with.

I just had some leaking bathroom vents on my roof yet they were very responsive for this small job. They fixed the leak quickly for a good price. I'll definitely give them a call when my roof needs replacement in the future.

Every step of the way, Mariusz Holda helpfully explained options and pricing, called or showed up when he said he would, and even helped us pick out the roof tile color. The project was done in two days, and the crew picked up everything so neatly at the end of the first day it was hard to tell they had been there. Even though our skylights were in worse shape than we had anticipated and needed to be replaced (they were pretty old so not a total surprise), they quickly found quality replacements of the same brand not too far away and finished the job on time. After the job was completed, Mariusz has been out to make sure everything was as good as it could be, inside and out. Getting a new roof is a big deal and never fun, but we are very pleased with our experience with Holda Construction.

I met Mariusz more than 20 years ago when he sided my last home. I called him out of the blue to give me a quote on my attic project and it was like I just saw him yesterday. I thought I needed more insulation, but Mariusz said I needed more ventilation and he was right. His team only needed one day and my soffits were ventilated. I needed to re-do my attic insulation for many years now and contacted Holda Construction to do it. They are extremely professional, efficient, and completed the job in a timely fashion. They provided better ventilation for my bathroom exhaust fans, sealed between all the joist, sucked out the old insulation, layered new insulation down and blew a layer on top. The guys were here for just a couple of days and left my house in perfect shape. Very fair pricing and just a great group of guys to have working in your home. I highly recommend using them for any attic / roofing needs you have.

Mariusz Holda is an experienced professional, very knowledgeable on every aspect of the exterior of your home and he enjoys sharing that knowledge with the homeowner. He responded to our call for help about a ceiling stain that was getting worse, and he arrived within 24 hours to do a full roof and attic inspection complete with photographs so we could see the issues for ourselves. We had so many questions and appreciated his patience with us. We received a reasonable proposal for the work and his team was out a day later to start the repairs. We were especially impressed with his communication process always letting us know who would be arriving, and the times they would arrive. The company handled every aspect of the repairs so we didn't even have to hire a painter separately to paint the ceiling after repairs were done. That was such a relief! Cleaning up around the house, I noticed some shingles on the ground and figured after 17 years it was time to get the roof looked at. I called late in the afternoon and the phone was answered immediately. Mariusz came out a few hours later (~6pm) and the next morning my problem was fixed. Even though it was not an emergency situation, it was great to have something "crossed off the list" by being taken care of so quickly.

When looking for roofers, I wanted someone local in case there were any issues. Doing a search on Google shows many people at the top of the listing, but digging deeper, they were from 90 minutes away. Holda is local to the Lake Zurich, Palatine area and did amazing work quickly.

Using drone pictures, they showed the problem areas, and showed more pictures when completed. Pricing was not cheap, but very reasonable and presented upfront so there were no surprises.

Mariusz is a very decent man who runs a great business and I would use Holda again in a second.

Generally speaking, we weren't the easiest people to work with, and Mariusz (and team) were great. We had a siding contract that went south a number of years ago, so we had a lot more questions this time around, and we wanted a lot of specific info before making any commitments. Mariusz was very patient with us and reassuring, he was always available when needed, and informative.

Just like with any contractor sometimes you need to be available when the actual work is being done in order to make sure things are completed to the standards you may have in mind. We had to follow up with Mariusz to finish some lesser priority items which was not a big deal, and there was damage to one of our shingles from their ladder. They did try to repair the damage, and finished everything promised.

Holda services may be on the higher end of pricing, but it's worth it if you want the job done well, and the warranty is solid. We are very happy with how our house looks.

We hired Holda Construction to do a roof repair on my roof that wasn’t even a year old. The prior roofing company would not honor their 7 year warranty. We called several other roofing companies and did not get any response back. Holda Construction not only came out right away, but they also took the time to educate us on ventilation and attic insulation. We were very pleased with the work they did as well as the clean up.

The aluminum cladding below our gutters was coming loose (old rusted staples were backing out), and one section let the soffit droop down with birds making a nest inside it. Called Holda and the owner immediately answered (did not need to leave a message). He was very friendly and helpful. I texted pictures of the problems. He said they do this work all the time, and could come out within a few days to fix it. His team put in new nails around the entire house perimeter, carefully removed the birds nest (and confirmed it was empty), and fixed the drooping soffit. The owner then offered to fix any issues with the job, and said to take a look after the next big storm. There was a storm a few days later, and I found one nail that appeared to back out a little. I texted him a picture, which he immediately replied, "Let us come back and immediately fix it", and "My foreman will be there in a few minutes". For one nail! That's service! Thanks Holda and team!

I am very pleased with the result of my home improvement project with Holda Construction. I recently moved into a home with inadequate and improper attic ventilation. To prevent mold & mildew issues and extend the life of my roof I called for a consultation. Mariusz (the owner) outlined a plan to improve the attic ventilation by installing a ridge vent in my roof, continuous ventilation aluminum soffit with baffle vents as well as properly venting bathroom exhaust fans out through the roof. His pricing was reasonable and he was able to start working immediately so we moved forward with the project. Mariusz and his crew did everything outlined in the proposal in a professional manner and kept me updated on the progress with several pictures and videos of the work along the way. The end result not only looks great but will help improve the quality of life for my family in our home. The craftsmanship is top notch and I can tell Mariusz is committed to the complete satisfaction of each customer. I would highly recommend his services and would hire him again in the future.

Holda Construction recently replaced our soffit, fascia, and gutters. Mariusz and his crew were very professional; they were up front with potential issues that might have occurred during the replacement effort. The Holda crew was good at their craft and they were able to answer questions that arose during the replacement. Every time there was an issue regarding replacement of compromised wood or where there was an option in the application of soffit/fascia, the crew took time identifying the issue and explain options so that we could make an informed decision. In addition, the Holda crew went out of their way to help us with miscellaneous issues around the house and even removed our shutters at our request so that we could paint them. We are very pleased with the results, a great update to the look of our home. A side note; we were extremely pleased with the clean up after the work was done. My wife couldn't find any clutter after the Holda crew left our home. We heartily recommend Holda Construction!

Holda was great to work with; Mariusz was the only one to inspect the inside of the attic to avoid surprised when the old shingles were removed and the only one to see that there was a condensation problem due to poor ventilation. Our new roof was installed in a day, it looks great, and the installation crew did a thorough job cleaning the area afterwards. All in all it was a great experience.

Holda Construction did a fantastic job on my new roof. I chose Owens Corning Duration Flex. There was a small premium over a standard Duration shingle but the Flex shingles have a higher hail damage resistance (UL 2218 Class 4), that rivals a lot of metal shingle products ... while still looking like a normal shingle.

Another reason why I chose Holda Construction was because of how detailed the estimate was, outlining each product used. This is important Owens Corning and other shingle manufacturers give you longer warranties if you use their other roofing system products. I had gotten other quotes with no details beyond the shingle being used.

Mariusz was prompt in responding to the situation, provided quote and fixed the issue on the same day. I recommend holda construction to anyone who is looking for a professional service and solution.

We contacted Mariusz to reside our house. He was very responsive to our initial call and said that we should have an estimate shortly. After several weeks without any communication, we reached out again to see if the estimate was forthcoming. After almost a week, he contacted us and apologized for the delay adding that he was very busy with the recent storm damage in the area. We let him know that we understood, but we needed the numbers to secure financing for the project. He thanked us for working with him and that we should expect the estimate shortly. It’s been another several weeks without any communication. I’m concerned that the lack of communication could extend to “what if we have an issue” scenario. He appeared to be competent, and I would have been very interested in his estimate, but we must move on.

Professional and honest! Mr. Holda personally came to our home inspected our roof and created a video. We could see for ourselves with out having to get up on the roof exactly where the damage was and what needed to be done. He gave a detailed report and options. I recently hired Holda Construction to install direct vents for bathroom exhaust fans through roof, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I initially worked with them a decade ago when they did a great job installing siding on my house, so when it came time for roof repairs, I’d always rather use some I know .

Used Angie's List to get three roofing quotes and Holda Construction was the only one who would not give me a quote until they inspected both attics. They wanted to make sure that there wasn't any mold or surprises when they quoted the job. Mariusz and his time were prompt, careful and did a fantastic job. There are a lot of other roofers who will low ball you with a quote only to tack on extras as the project progresses. We had some major gutter damage from the wet and heavy snow. I reached out to Holda construction and they came out the same day for an estimate. His pricing was very reasonable and I appreciated his honesty with where the project could end up. From our first onsite consultation I was sure Holda Construction was going to be the right team to tackle our large project. Mariusz provided me with the guidance on how best to scope the project while also thinking of scaling with additional home improvements on my mind in the future. Throughout our planning phase, he was very generous with his time, outlining every detail of the project for my wife and I and answering every question we had during in person (as well as on zoom consultations), leaving us feeling comfortable and confident in the materials we were selecting as well as at the work to be done.

Once the project started, we were very pleased with how efficiently everything was organized, sequenced and executed. Furthermore, Mariusz always kept effective communication with us throughout the project ensuring we knew exactly what to expect the team to be working on and when. We were not only impressed by the team’s craftsmanship but also the incredible team members, who were an extension of our positive experience with Mariusz - friendly, professional and incredibly customer centered.

I contacted Mariusz with Holda Construction to fix my roof and he was nothing but professional. While fixing the roof he noticed an error made by the company that installed my siding and without hesitation he fixed the problem. Holda Construction is now the first company I call or refer is someone asks. Cannot ask for better service, quality if work and overall just a great company.

Needed some immediate roof repairs to hold me over until the spring. Holda assessed the roof situation and showed me what repairs to do and provided an estimate. I accepted and they came out a few days later. Very professional workmanship, polite, and wonderful follow-up! If anything, they undersold their services! They could have easily convinced me to do more than was necessary - but their honest, transparent, and professional approach works! I look forward to having Holda replacing the entire roof in the spring!

I had a relatively small siding project that I hired Holda Construction to complete. They contacted me as soon as possible, sent someone on site for color selection, ordered the material and completed the job within a week. The owner is fantastic and I couldn’t be more pleased with the completed project. I would and will highly recommend them for siding and roofing projects. You will not be disappointed!

Mariusz is amazing! He was the first of many roofing contractors to contact me right away, and he was so prompt in all of his responses it was impressive. He's so polite, genuine, knowledgable, and honest. We really appreciated his insight as he inspected our roof for defects and informed us of issues we had no idea could even be a problem. We appreciated the detailed estimate that explained the source of the leaks we’d spotted and showed us photos of the problem areas. The recommended solutions made a lot of sense and were implemented quickly and efficiently.

We hired Holda Construction for a full siding replacement project after doing quite a bit of research and reaching out to a number of different contractors. Mariusz was very professional, responsive and explained our options very clearly. Calls or e-mails were returned within an hour and he was always available for questions. I like that he was not pushy when I told him we had bid this out and we would get back to him within two weeks.

Holda Construction was not the most expensive contractor or the cheapest contractor but I believe he provides a fair cost for the quality of work provided & customer service. His payment terms were fair and better than some others we had reached out to. The project was started & completed on the agreed to timeline and within the agreed pricing. Holda Construction also did some minor roof, window & gutter work for us that was part of the agreed to price.

You could tell the workers cared about what they were doing & explained things as they were doing the work. I had a number of different questions as they progressed and either Mariusz or the workers would answer them. The workers cleaned up at the end of every day and at the end of the project. There were a few odds and ends that I need to pick up but that is to be expected.

We were very pleased with Mariusz and his team and would recommend him. When it comes time to replace our roof we will definitely be reaching out to Mariusz.

I could not be happier with Mariusz and his team. They worked very efficiently repairing my house. They completed roofing replacement, siding replacement, gutters, soffit and fascia on my house in Palatine. I believe he came up with a fair price for the amount of work done on my home. They did an excellent job cleaning up any loose screws, nails, siding etc to make sure my dogs didn’t get hurt. My house and garage were in a sad state of disrepair. I anticipated the daunting task of finding a reputable company to do the job. Mariusz Holda and his crew came highly recommended, so I gave him a call, made an appointment for an estimate. Mariusz came to my home, examined the house and garage. We discussed my immediate needs, various options and came up with a plan. I've dealt with tradesmen before and never really trusted them, but Mariusz was different. Everything was above board, spelled out, written out and abundantly clear as to what needed to be done - I trusted Mariusz without reservation. We set. a date, to fix my home first. His crew came out, extremely professional and taking care of all of the details. Needless to say, I was impressed with the whole experience, so much so Holda came back the next year to work on my garage. I experienced and benefited from the same professionalism and craftsmanship. A couple of years passed and we had a hail storm. There was some damage to the garage and house. I called Mariusz immediately, he came out, assessed the damage and put his crew into motion to fix the damage, matching the siding, roof and gutters beautifully. We also added all new windows throughout my house. I have nothing but praise and respect for Mariusz and Holda Construction. He knows his stuff, puts you at ease, provides an incredible service and of course beautifies your residence. Cheers!

We recently had a significant amount of water coming through our kitchen ceiling, and it was discovered that the upper level cedar window frame and some of the cedar siding had aged to the point it was severely compromised. Holda Construction did a fantastic job repairing and replacing this issue, installing waterproofing and LP SmartSide siding to seal up and fix the leak. There was such great communication, as they even sent a video "scope of work" to explain exactly what they were going to do during the project. They were on-time, clean, efficient, and we're thrilled with the results -- looks great, and is so much better to prevent future leaks. Will hire again in the future, no doubt!

After working with Holda last year for some fascia repair, we decided to go with them again for a roof replacement. Mariusz provided a full scope and cost of the project promptly, and the crew got our roof replacement done quickly and to very high standards. Will definitely use them for more projects in the future.

2018:

Mariusz and his team provided exceptional customer service and quality products that ensure my roof and gutters will stand the test of time and weather. It's not easy finding and deciding on a contractor for most things. Mariusz brought to the table a straight forward approach as to what he could provide and that, in the end, everything was my call with no pressure. With a price in line with local averages, I could have asked for nothing more.

2023:

I once again had Mariusz and his team to my home for a project, this time being the siding. And once again, the result was PERFECT. The process of working with insurance took years but Holda Construction was extremely patient and didn't push the project. A call every couple weeks to see how I was and to let me know he was always ready when I was couldn't have been better. Mariusz made multiple trips to the house to help the process move along and was instrumental in getting us to where we are today. I would highly recommend taking Mariusz's advice on the things that could really change how you see your home. One major recommendation was to not simply side up to the windows but to put in BEAUTIFUL window borders that not only take the look of the finished project up 10 notches but sealed the home better than anything. The team Mariusz sent could not have been better. They tolerated an overwhelming amount of questions from me and walked me through everything that was being done. Not only did they finish the job but went above and beyond when we discovered 6 leaking, previously installed windows by someone else, were not installed nor sealed properly. They immediately removed the windows from my home and reinstalled them correctly and did so happily. THIS WAS NOT THEIR JOB! The team simply wanted to do the right thing and fixed someone else's mistakes so that my home could be at 100%!

Here we are, 2 weeks later, and my home feels BRAND NEW. Whether it's siding, windows, roofing, or everything in-between, look for further than HOLDA CONSTRUCTION. I can not recommend Mariusz and his team enough. THANK YOU!
