Fantastic job by First Home Improvement!! They were so fast and clean! The process of us getting our roof replaced was a little daunting but Ryan Trout, our representative, was absolutely fantastic and did everything in his power to make sure all our questions were answered and we were very confident in what they would provide and also the skill of their crew. Imagine this: a door-to-door salesman shows up all summer, ignoring our “No Soliciting” sign and our repeated statements that we’re not interested. Then, as if that’s not enough, they actually get our neighbor involved, asking them to text us their contact info. So now we have to tell our neighbor—again—that we’re not interested. But it still doesn’t end there. They come back and ring the doorbell again. Finally, I text the number myself to demand they stop immediately. Honestly, it’s beyond unprofessional, but it all makes sense after reading the BBB and Google reviews.

This company is the biggest scam ever!!! Been going back and forth for over year and nothing is done besides got claim put on my insurance policy and my rate went up a lot . Just stay away from this company if u don’t want to get scam. I should know better when they ring the bell. Pls people stay away from storm chasing roofers. They are there for they own benefit by ripping people off.

I had hail damage from a storm in April 2023 and Nick and team from First Home Improvement pointed this out to me. Asphalt shingle roof and aluminum gutters and siding, all damaged. I filed a claim with State Farm in October 2023 and they only approved gutters and siding. I filed an appeal and unfortunately by then we had snow so it wasn't until March 2024 that a new inspector came back out to reassess. There were issues with the claim, only photos and no details were provided, so an inspector had to come out a third time (May 2024). Nick and his supervisor Randy met the inspector each time to make sure they pointed out every issue and give me the best chance of approval. There was even a few no shows from the inspector but Nick and Randy were still there. Finally after the 3rd inspection, they approved everything. Work was completed in September 2024, nearly A YEAR after the claim was filed. Couldn't be happier with the outcome. And if they were willing to partner with me for a year to get my project done, what would they do for you?!

From the very start, Brian Shaughnessy was very thorough throughout the entire process- he did all the legwork and heavy lifting with the insurance process. My sales rep Brian Shaughnessy. He worked with us very well. The roofing crew did the hard work. My suggestions for improvement: 1. Have the manager on site at the time of roof installation as the crew may not be fluent in English, 2. Recommend wider gutters for a home of my size because of potential clogging, 3. Take on other job functions such as any bad wood replacement as a result of possible covered damage such as hail even though it is a little hard to prove. 4. Provide and delegate more power to your sales person who is in contact with the customer, 5 Accept electronic payment.
