Ben Hitchcock and his crew were the most professional contractors I have ever met. The repairs to my home were excellent. Ben came to my house numerous times to assess the damage caused by a large tree. The roof was damaged along with several broken windows. The estimate Ben provided to my insurance company was honest and detailed. No visit by a claims adjuster was required based on this estimate.
Having had unsatisfactory performance by other contractors Ben was a pleasure.
I require some additional work to be done-I will hire Ben. He is top notch.

A very large pine tree crashed through the roof of our seasonal cottage during a storm, and we were faced with the daunting task of finding a reliable contractor in Maine to do the extensive repairs that were required. We walked five contractors through the project. All submitted estimates, but most withdrew citing schedule issues. One we had to reject following research into his history. All of the contractors took up considerable amounts of our time and delayed work on our project by not being forthcoming about their scheduling issues earlier on. Each time we met with a prospective contractor we had to drive three and a half hours each way between New Hampshire and Maine. Then we found Ben Hitchcock.

From the very beginning, Ben was a delight to work with. He is completely honest, has a can-do attitude, a very pleasing personality, and outstanding communication skills. Anytime we had a question or concern, Ben responded immediately by text, e-mail or phone. He was always on top of things and had ready solutions for any problems. The responses we got from Ben throughout this project made us feel like we were his only clients. Ben and his wife work as a team. Both have college degrees as architects and it shows. The finished product was first rate, came in at the same cost as the original estimate, and our summer home was perfectly restored to its original condition. We very highly recommend Ben Hitchcock for any construction project!
