We have used Highland Tree Care on two different occasions: the first to remove some Atlantic Cypress that were planted too close to the house by the former owner, and more recently to remove a white pine whose needles were interfering with drainage behind our house and a large Crepe Myrtle, again planted too close to the house by the former owner.

Both projects were completed with no damage to the house or surrounding turf! Adam and his crew are efficient, conscientious, courteous, and clean. When they leave the work site, the only thing left behind are the remnants from the stumps that they grind! Even the street was left immaculate. And all this is done for a very reasonable price.

Tremendous job!! I had four different tree removal services give me a quote on three very tall (60ft) cottonwood trees that were leaning towards our house. Highland Tree was the most affordable and did an awesome job, not just removing, but also pilling up the wood for me to split later. I was updated well on when the job would be started, and they were extremely fast in getting everything taken care of. I would most definitely recommend them to anyone!

I had a very large and somewhat inaccessible tree on my property that was dying and needed to be cut down. It was on a fairly steep hill, and wasn't an easy job at all. Adam and his team did an expert job climbing the tree and bringing it down without any damage to my property or the adjacent septic drain field. I couldn't be more pleased with the professional job or the way they left my property. I would highly recommend them for even your most difficult tree needs.

Very nice people who have done a great job to remove 5 ill trees. They were very careful in terms of protecting my landscaping. They also did a nice job to clean up the scene. Adam and his crew from Highland Tree Care have been the most reliable tree folks I have worked with in Blacksburg. He is honest and charges a very reasonable price for good work. I have checked! He comes out when he says he will and completes work in a timely manner. The area is left tidy. Once, we had a tree fall on the house overnight. He came out that day to assess the damage and started work the next morning. Another time, we had an old silver maple, rotting in the middle, that spread over power lines and the roof which he was able to take down safely without any damage whatsoever. He is knowledgeable about trees in general (not just how to prune or take them down) and is willing to share his thoughts about how to plant for windbreak, which trees pose the most danger to structures, which sprouts to let grow, etc. He makes you feel like he is your partner in caring for the trees in your yard or field not your adversary.
