Spencer was thorough on the inspection of the duplex I was purchasing. I was on site and we discussed (he explained) what was age related and any safety issues. Would definitely use again!

Spencer was great. Very personable, did a thorough inspection for us and gave us a very detailed verbal report and also a complete report via email. The results of his inspection revealed some dangerous conditions in the home, several structural issues which together resulted in us voiding the purchase agreement because of the high costs that would have been incurred to bring the home up to today's safety standards and building codes. We will be calling him for our next home inspection, as we are still looking to buy.

Wow! My experience was great. Spencer answered the phone personally and articulated the home inspection process clearly and thoroughly. He had a professional and amiable demeanor. The business management software he uses sent me a calendar confirmation and reminder of the planned visit, and allowed me to pay for the home inspection online and receive a digital invoice. He scheduled a post-inspection phone call to talk with me about his findings before he sent over the official report. The report itself was well-organized and easy to interpret for minor, medium, and major issues. His report led to our home sellers addressing the two most important issues before closing, so we won't have those surprises (or expenses) down the line.

Spencer is the best home inspector we have had and this is our 7th buying experience. We were not able to be present for the inspection (buying from Alaska) and were grateful for his incredible communication - professional and personable and the platform he uses to request payment and to obtain report is very easy to use. His report is the most thorough, organized, and detailed I’ve seen. Pictures AND even video clips when necessary. And the report was amazingly prompt. The sellers wanted a 10 day inspection period and Spencer made it happen. He was very responsive after inspection for any questions we had. He did not push us to do add-ons, but explained recommendations objectively in easy to understand terms and let us decide. He is an honest, hard-working, all around kind person to work with. We highly recommend him!

Couldn’t recommend Spencer from High Prairie Home Inspections enough. As a professional Realtor, I have attended countless home inspections. This being my home purchase, I was extremely pleased with his knowledge of home structures and local building codes.
He also provided me with a sewer scope inspection and manufactured home foundation certification for convenient ‘one-stop shopping’.
When the underwriter for the loan requested an additional certification at the last minute, Spenser quickly located and scheduled a qualified professional to get the certificate. Because of his outstanding customer service, I was able to close and move in my new home without delay.

I had to put “good quality” in the remarks but that is a misrepresentation. Spencer the owner is Great Quality. We had a home inspected by him and he is extremely professional, thorough and very easy to work with throughout the inspection process. He did a fantastic job explaining in easy to understand terms what he was seeing, and what actions we should take. I would say he went above and beyond his duties. I was extremely impressed my the way he took time to review each part of the process and answer our questions ( I had many) in a very concise and direct no nonsense way that was very considerate and polite to us as new buyers. It’s important to get an home inspection when you’re buying a house. You are usually already stressed as the inventory is limited and the prices are unreal. But using High Prairie Home Inspection was the easiest part of our process. He is extremely detailed, and trustworthy. His reports are easy to read.
Hopefully I won’t have to purchase another home but if I do he would be the inspector I would call every time

Spencer is fantastic! We have worked together multiple times now and I appreciate so many things about him. First of all, Spencer has a flexible schedule, which is really appreciated in the real estate transaction process. Second, Spencer is so kind and patient. I’ve had clients who want to be present for the whole inspection (which can slow things way down for Spencer), but he is super patient and kind and willing to let homebuyers get what THEY need from the process, even if it slows down the overall process. Finally, I just appreciate how Spencer is calm cool and collected when walking clients through the report—he is thorough but doesn’t scare the heck out of people, which I appreciate!
