We had our roof and gutters replaced by Hero and I am very pleased with the final product. Kirk was great to work with throughout the process. I would recommend them to perform any service needed.

We hired Hero General Contracting to replace our roof after the April 19th tornado. They were very responsive. They came out quickly to give us an estimate. They helped us pick the perfect shingles, helping us keep everything in our price range. Our homeowners insurance lost our check in the mail, and made it out to the wrong mortgage company. Hero General Contracting was extremely patient as we sorted out the payment. Highly recommended.

We had an absolutely incredible experience with Hero. The owner personally came to the house to ensure we had a very prompt estimate on repairs. They replaced our roof and guttering in a very timely manner and the replacement looked e better than what we originally had. We will continue to utilize their company for any repair/construction needs we have in the future!

Jesse Knutson with Hero General Contracting was outstanding to work with thru the roof replacement process. Jesse spent many years working for the insurance companies. He knows the claims process inside and out. He was able to explain every step to me in a timely manner. We had a few issues during construction that were quickly remedied. No project will be perfect, however the response from the company defines them and Hero was on it. These guys went above and beyond and exceeded all my expectations. My roof and gutters look amazing! After after a very heavy windstorm, several of my shingles blew to the ground. The next day we were getting rain so I needed to find a roofer to do a repair or at least cover the Lost shingle spots. David drove from mustang and got on my roof while it was freezing cold outside and got it all covered so I wouldn't have rain damage in my house in Newcastle. I highly recommend Hero General Contractors for any contracting needs in the Oklahoma City metro.

Steve was very professional during inspection & Bret & Chris were so informative when they took a look at the roof for the repair. Chris came back out to do repair and barely made a sound! He was efficient and the whole team was great to work with. Will definitely use Hero again!!!

Speaking from my own experience, this company is hands down the best. The person who helped me throughout the whole process was Ray Salazar. He was extremely knowledgeable when it came to helping me out with my insurance company and as well with everything about the damages that needed to be repaired. Super professional and friendly. Like a lot of people in Norman, a hail storm caused damage to our roof back in October. We had a bunch of roofing contractors stop by and give free assessments, but hardly any of them followed up beyond the initial visit because of the challenge associated with our home owner's insurance and the claim. That is until the guys at Hero knocked on the door. From the initial consultation with Ray to the meeting with the Team Manager Kevin we had finally found a team of true professionals who had all of the knowledge and experience to handle our claim and get our roof replaced.

From start to finish the team at Hero makes you feel important like you are apart of their family and they're going to help you in your time of need and not just sell another roof.

They have my business for any and all future construction needs.

Ray was perfect! He was with us from the beginning and was the last one to leave! He made sure their weren’t nails throughout the day! The crew did a wonderful job! We love our new roof so much! Thank you Ray and the entire crew that cane out!

Doesn't seem to be very reliable to me. I had two of their guys stop by my house randomly on a Saturday and offered to give me a bid on replacing my roof. I agreed and they measured the roof and told me they would email me an estimate. After a week I called the main office to ask about my estimate. I was told they had nothing on file with my address. They apologized and said someone would definitely be contact me later that same day. And once again I heard nothing. I guess they don't like the smell of my money.

Steve Johnson was our main point of contact to repair hail damage from last year. After months getting the insurance claim processed, we were contacted and told we were scheduled for our roof to be done on a Saturday. We had a family party at our house that day and didn’t want the mess and noise of roof repair during a party. So we asked to reschedule. I was contacted around 6am one day and was asked if they could come THAT day. I agreed because we were eager to get the work done. Having had no notice, I didn’t have time to move my many potted plants outside and was told the crew would move them. Well they didn’t move them except for a few that I later found laid on their side in the middle of the front yard in the hot sun. When it came to getting the old stuff off the roof, we were told Hero had a “catch-all” system which was a net or tarp from the eaves of the house down to the ground to prevent debris from falling into flower beds and to make their clean up easier/faster. Well they didn’t use it. (I was told it had been stolen from a job site, but soon after I saw it being used on a different job.) I caught them on my Ring throwing stuff off the roof and watched as it landed directly on my plants. We were told they would clean up nails/screws at the end of the day with a big drag magnet. That first night, I went outside after dark with my phone flashlight and filled an entire Tupperware container with screws, nails, strips of nails, and razor blades. I was livid. I had told the contractors we have children and a dog who play outside, and they were beyond careless with the clean-up. Moving on to our gutter repair. After it was done, the finishes on the corners looked terrible. They had cut extra pieces of gutter and molded them on the outside of each corner. It looked horrible. We were told that it was a different style of finishing. Well that wasn’t what we had before and wasn’t what we had agreed on. We asked for all the gutters to be replaced. At our request, they sent someone out from the company who had installed the original gutters on our house who agreed the work was poor quality and recommended to Hero that they be replaced. We were contacted by our preferred gutter company to ask if they could do it as contracted through Hero, and I told them we were ready to have it done whenever they could schedule us. Then we were contacted by Hero and told what day they were coming to replace the gutters. When I came home that day, it was NOT the company we had agreed upon. By that time, the crew were mostly done so what could I say? I mentioned it to Steve who said our preferred company had stopped communicating with them and they went with a different company, which we weren’t told about. Well a couple days later, I was contacted by the preferred gutter company to get on their schedule! They had no idea that Hero had pulled the job from them and that it had already been done. Other issues: We were told the garage doors were ready to install and in the process of being scheduled. I told him to let us know when they could do it. After a few weeks, we followed up and he said they used our doors for a different job because WE didn’t respond about scheduling it. We had people come measure our broken window and garage doors multiple times because they kept switching companies. Trim paint wasn’t done when we were told it would be. Steve would be uncommunicative with us for weeks at a time. He kept needing validation from me about not being mad at him for one thing or another. The final straw was during a call when he told me “I miss the Laurie I met when we started this.” That was inappropriate and unprofessional. We cancelled the remaining repairs and wanted to settle up. An invoice was sent by e-mail which went to junk folder, so I didn’t know it was there. Then we got a letter threatening us with collections. I ended up finding 3 e-mails in my junk folder but hadn’t been told to expect an invoice via e-mail. When it came time to collect their money, they sure communicated fast. ZERO stars. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Steve Johnson with Hero is absolutely unprofessional. He did get a crew on our roof and it was repaired in a timely manner...and looks fabulous...but this came at a cost. He never showed up when he said he would and then dropped by when I had not been informed of an arrival. Multiple times of being caught off guard was upsetting. After the job was complete and the crew was gone, I found 100+ nails all around my house...all where my dog and kids run and play. I asked him to come back to correct the issue and he absolutely did. And then I found nails a total of 3 more times, to include 5 in 3 tires, which caused us to purchase 4 new suv tires. This review is prompted now because I just found another nail. This is absolutely unacceptable. I actually hired them to complete all repairs and ended up hiring out to get everything else done on my own. Add together the unprofessional encounters and the poor customer service and you get unhappy customers. We will never recommend Hero Contracting to any family or friends.

Hero General Contracting has been amazing from beginning to end. The are responsive, quick, and every person I spoke too was kind. Their quote was so good my insurance even said something. From calling them to installation was about a week which was great! I absolutely recommend them and will be using them for all of my future roofing needs!

We had a wonderfully smooth transaction from start to finish with Hero Roof- especially Corey. He was professional and prompt through the whole process. If we had questions or concerns they were there to answer all of them. 10/10 recommend using them for your roofing / construction needs.

I’ll never use another roofing company as long as Hero is in business. They did exactly what they said they would do, and they kept me in the loop every step of the way. There was not one moment where I wondered what would happen with my claim or if my insurance paid enough. It turns out my insurance severely underpaid, and Hero fixed that! Shaun came out to inspect our roof and took care of everything. He insured everything went smoothly between our insurance and the replacement of our roof! I would definitely recommend them to anybody needing any roof work done.

I cannot speak highly enough of this company. They came out to my house the day after a wild hail storm in Norman, OK. They did multiple inspections on my house to ensure no stone hit was missed and even managed to handle the insurance adjusters on my behalf so I did not have to continually leave work to do so. Such a diligent and trustworthy company.They were fantastic.

I had terrible luck in the past with other roofers charging me more than what insurance was providing. I had to call multiple other companies to see who could fix the leaks the other roofers caused.
