Had a great experience with Heritage Builders. Their team was quick to respond to our inquiry about handyman work that needed done on our home, the scope of work and quote presented felt fair, and their team got the job done in half the time! All of these put our first-time homeowner worries to rest. We’ll definitely use them again for additional projects we have our eye on and will recommend to others.

I am telling everyone how professional Heritage Builders are to their customers and they haven’t even done the work yet. Their phone etiquette and going the extra mile when I had questions about the job. Wow! I am impressed. Amazing.

We had construction completed on the inside and outside of our home. It took several weeks on the inside and siding was off and on in just days on the outside. During this time we about 11-12 gentlemen in our home. I was extremely impressed with their professionalism and skills. They had to ‘make a mess’ to get the job done and they never once left until it was cleaned up for us to live in. We were always informed when they would be here and exactly what they were doing. The work never stopped to go to another job. From now on they will be doing all of our updating and repairs.

Heritage replaced our deck and we couldn’t be more happy with how it turned out. They made the process easy and provided excellent communication throughout construction.

We used the Handyman Services division for a door install project that involved cutting into the wall and moving electricity. Everything went smoothly from initial visit to final project, and was done within the time frame and budget estimated.

The Handyman Services division is a great option for those smaller projects that big, home-building contractors don't want to mess with. Of course, Heritage can handle those big home-building projects too! We were treated as valued customers despite our small job, and will call on them again for our next Handyman project.

I used Heritage Builders for our main floor remodel, including some exterior repairs, a bathroom remodel, and new front walk. Everything turned out better than I could have hoped! Excellent craftsmanship and great communication from the entire team. If I ever need any work done Heritage Builders is the only business I’ll be calling!

I have been trying to receive a quote, not even have the job scheduled, and it has been 2.5 months since first contact, and 1.5 months since an on-site inspection, only to be told they cannot provide me a quote for a shed and fence. Don't rely on Heritage Builders to communicate and be upfront with you during the process.

We got part of our soffit replaced, repainted, and our backyard regraded and window wells repaired. They did an amazing job with all of it. I also really enjoyed my interactions with Jill, she was very friendly and understanding throughout the whole thing.

I needed someone to clean a bird's nest out of an outdoor vent on my house--on the 2nd story. I emailed Heritage builders last night. Their form was straightforward and easy to fill out. I had an estimate waiting for me this morning. The estimate was very reasonable. I signed the estimate and sent it back by email within a couple of minutes. They had someone at my house within a couple of hours from that. Guys, the job was DONE, done well, less that 24 hours from my request. I am so happy!

Heritage Builders did a great job for us! Ron will listen to whatever project you have in mind, and work to make it happen the way you want. They are friendly, honest and hard working. No big egos like some contractors get - just nice folks. Excellent craftsmanship as well!

Called with a large roof reinforcement structural job (remodel), after they were recommended by another company we have used. The woman ont he phone said they were not doing estimates at this time. When i asked if they could recommend anyone, the lady said "no". Not helpful. This is a huge job. Very disappointed in the response - do they want our business or not? Do I need to know someone? I don't get it.

I am thoroughly satisfied with the work that Heritage Builders recently completed. We tasked them with the complete remodel of an old farmhouse and they nailed each aspect of it - skimming lath and plaster walls, installing drywall, fireplace install, tile work, custom wood working, flooring installation, interior painting, trim, base, the list goes on.

Ron and Chad have done an incredible job building a team of punctual, skilled, and personable tradesmen. They have a vast array of in-house capabilities, which makes the overall process smooth. My wife, 2 toddlers, and I and co-occupied a construction space for about 90-days and we were sad to see them leave.

We talked to almost every contractor in the area. Ron was literally the only one who took the time to understand our project. He was the only one to actually take pictures, take measurements, and submit a proposal he clearly put thought into.

His forecasting and budgets were right on and the process from top-to-bottom, left-to-right was a great experience. I highly recommend you reach out to Heritage Builders for your project needs.

Replaced 2 windows. In the end we were happy with our windows. The labor of 20 hours to install the 2 windows was more than I expected. The quote was from 16 to 20 hours so it was within the quote. I just didn't expect 20 hours for 2 windows. We did have some drama. Firstly the quote said to fix outside similar to current. What we got the outside didn't match the existing windows. Also they had to order wood stain from the manufactures we took about 6 days before they finish inside. We also had just too much drama. When I complained about the outside I'd said that they could use the cladding in the garage. The general contractor who had bought the cladding didn't read his email notifying him so he thought Heritage had effectively stolen the cladding. He called them up threatening them with the police for stealing. So instead of Hertiage telling the contractor to talk to me I have Ron the owner calling me and threatening to pull out the windows and put the old ones back unless I got an apology from the contractor.
Firstly this shouldn't have happened in the first place because the quote clearly stated "Install interior and exterior trim to match" . Heritage should have been prepared to match it instead of putting wood around that didn't match. I only offered use the cladding because they didn't have it in the first place.
Going back to the labor charge I don't know why it was so high but with installing the wrong cladding and painting it, then replacing and painting again and then returning to stain the windows might have been the reason. I wouldn't know because the invoice just shows total hours.
My suggestion to the owner Ron of Heritage is don't call the client threatening them when they were not involved in the dispute. If someone not related to the job calls you to complain, put the phone down on them or tell them to talk to the client and then put the phone down. So if the gardener complained or how about a neighbor walking the dog do you think its ok to call and threaten the client?

I used this company to install flooring in three bedrooms and I needed it done fast. They did an amazing job, on short notice and came in at the lower end of the quote. Great communication, great customer service. Their service simply couldn't be better. Contractors like this are almost impossible to find these days.

Ron and his crew at Heritage Builders in Manhattan, Kansas are FANTASTIC to work with!! From the first time we met with Ron to talk about our unusual project he was enthusiastic and ready to go! Even when challenges have come up (out of his or our control) he's been great about handling the curve balls and keeping things on track. They work fast and efficient and he understands the need to be budget-conscious as well. We appreciate how awesome they've been to work with & can't recommend them enough!!!

Heritage Builders has handled 3 separate jobs for me now in 2018 on my old house, doing a variety of work from simply replacing and patching exterior and interior wood, to a complete bathroom gut and rebuilding it to my dream specs. Everyone is wonderful to work with, from Melissa at the front office manging communication, to Mark who oversaw my projects, and everyone in between. I will definitely hire them again for my next project!
