I trust these people so much!!! They are honest and good at their work!! I got another vehicle and it was leaking oil pretty bad. Firestone had 3 mechanics looking at it and one of them came all sad looking and told me my turbo was blown. I almost cried because I had just got the vehicle about 4 days ago. I took it to Hamren and it was a bolt holding the turbo in that was to long causing it to leak oil. So I’ll never trust Firestone again.

We dropped our car off in the morning and was fixed the same day before noon ! Recommending them for any car needs!

Friendly, affordable, and they work on just about everything. You know a place has skills if you see a vintage micro bus, a pontiac ws6 and a diesel benz all under the same roof being cared for. Highly recommended from someone who spent 15 years selling cars!

I had a major problem with my vehicle. Took it to one shop. They were gonna charge me almost $1800 to fix it. And I took it here and they did it for half that. Everyone in the shop was very pleasant. Would never hesitate to go back.

The ONLY place I will take my BMW. Hamren's does excellent work on time and the customer service is second to none.

They were quick but the service got you in and out the crew was very friendly quick to explain what was wrong with the vehicle and what could help it and fix the problem

Appts are easy to schedule with just a phone call or text, and they always do the job right. We get regular maintenance, oil changes and tires for our family's Chrysler van and always appreciate their kindness and patience with us. Fairly priced and on time!

This is one of the only places I feel comfortable bringing my car as a lady that doesn’t know much about cars, they are incredibly polite and transparent; and I’ve never once felt taken advantage of while getting my vehicles serviced. 10/10 recommend

I originally went in to have my breaks checked to make sure they were fine. Not only did they check my breaks, but also rotated my tires. While I was there my phone froze and the receptionist was kind enough to print me directions to the nearest AT&T store (I'm not from the area and require my phone to navigate). I will definitely use them again in the future.

We were driving thru Roanoke on our way home to MD when our brake pads started sounding like they were going to fall off.
Hamren was the closest garage and in desperation we pulled in. They were soooo nice! Went out of their way to help us, replaced our brake pads and rotors in 2.5 hrs and were very reasonably priced!!! Highly highly recommend!!!!!! Would definitely use again!

Great reasonable service, Jarel has been our mechanic for over 10 years. They explain work before doing and very dependable! 5 stars isn't enough!

So we are in Roanoke for therapy for our son. The therapists car had a rear wiper blade damaged so I rang Hamren's and spoke to Todd who was extremely helpful and polite. He took the tag details and told me the part would be delivered to them in 20 minutes! I drove down and was extremely delighted to meet Todd and the other people in the shop. We had a lovely chat about cars in general. The part arrived and Todd was nice enough to show me how to take the old one off and put the new arm on (he happened to have the exact same car in the workshop as my therapists car). Can't recommend them highly enough and wish I lived in Roanoke just so I could use them to service my cars! Honest polite and helpful people! I was on a road trip from NJ. Something started to rattle so I stopped by Hamren's just as they were about to close on a Friday. A helpful man jped in to help me quickly diagnose the problem at no cost. Loose lug nuts. Could have been a major problem. Thank you Hamren's!

If you are in need of car repairs, give Hamrens a call. I have been a customer for several years and I have always been treated well. He is very fair and honest and goes above and beyond to get things taken care of.

Hamren’s is a straight-up no-nonsense auto shop that just gets it done. They fix what needs to be fixed, and nothing more. No frills. No flair. No price gouging. No extra unnecessary repairs. They’ll even tell you about things you need to keep an eye on, but aren’t necessary today.

They also do pre-buy evals. A year ago, I was thinking about buying a “gently-used” 2014 vehicle I found on a local dealer lot in Salem. I made the disappointing mistake of falling in love with it and was just about to buy it, but decided to take it to Jarl to have him give it a “once over” before buying it. Jarl said “don’t. He then showed me things the dealer had neatly covered up that would have easily been at least another $4,000 in repairs just to get it through Virginia inspection. So I drove it right back to the dealer, who unapologetically put it right back on the lot in the same spot with the same price tag. I eventually found a different vehicle and took it it to Hamren’s and they gave it a clean bill of health.

As long as we own vehicles and live in Roanoke/Salem, we’re taking them to Hamren‘s.
