I wish we would have hired an independent inspector as opposed to the builder’s. We were told we wouldn’t have access to the existing report by the builder’s inspector if we hired our own. I don’t care for a business practice like this. Our biggest issues are: quality of materials, energy efficiency, and not having an outlet in the island. I cannot believe we overlooked that they left this out. Other houses in our neighborhood by the same builder have an outlet. It is too costly to add this in after the house has been wired, and it’s been a huge annoyance while entertaining. Additionally, we didn’t learn that there is a utility easement going almost through the middle of our small yard until we were at the closing table. It seems as though utility locators just show up in our backyard all the time putting in flags and spray painting our grass.
Choosing Greeve Construction to build my house was the best decision I've ever made. I was in need of a home rather quickly and visited with Ricky about my options. I selected a house in the beginning stages of construction and though the color pallet and materials were pre-selected, I had the opportunity to tweak a few things to really make it my own. Ricky and his team focused on completing the house in the established timeframe, kept me informed of the progress along the way, and I moved in less than 3 months later. He has been very quick to respond to post-construction questions and issues I've encountered. Ricky is a superb contractor who cares about the quality of the houses he builds but more importantly, he cares about the people who call them home.
We are very happy with our new home from Greeve construction. There were a few minor issues that were handled very professionally and in a timely manner. We can’t recommend Ricky in the homes that he builds enough.
