Green Mountain Chimney is state of the art full chimney service. They are professional and very through. We have had our chimney flues relined, and chimney cleanings as well. We are very pleased with the quality of their work and knowledge. Very happy with Green Mountain Chimney they are the best!

Tyler did an excellent job cleaning and inspecting chimney. He was also very prompt and helpful answering follow up questions.

An amazing job! Highly recommended for any fireplace needs or repairs. Tyler lined two fireplaces for safe use in our 1817 farmhouse, installed a wood stove, and removed an old wood stove and its chimney ahead of installation of a Swedish tiled stove in its place.

Green Mountain Chimney Care LLC provided us with a wood stove and chimney inspection, cleaning, replacement of refractory fire bricks in our wood stove and gave us a detailed inspection report about each point of inspection with plans for future improvements. Tyler and his crew were fantastic from the first phone call requesting a quote to final invoice. He was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and explained what needed to be done with clarity. When the crew arrived, they were very conscientious about maintaining a clean work area and they were very considerate about not letting my dogs out of the yard. Working with Green Mountain Chimney Care was an overall excellent experience and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs help with their chimney or who needs a wood stove installed.

Tyler did two full flu replacements with tile removal. Very knowledgeable and communicative through the process and answered all my questions and more.

I called with somewhat of an emergency, as my past chimney cleaner failed to show last fall. Left a message that was returned in a very timely manner even though I had never had any contact with Tyler previously.
They scheduled an “assessment “ of my needs in just a couple of days wait, although their schedule was booked. I figured they were going to “assess” and then schedule at least a month wait. But no!
Tyler and his brother (if I remember correctly, Justin (I apologize if this is incorrect!)) spent 4 hours correcting my plugged chimney at a very reasonable price!
They explained everything they were going to do and showed me pictures before, during and after, as well as pointing out a very big flaw of the installation of my chimney liner by a previous contractor.
They are courteous, kind and respectful of the property they work within! They care!
I would gladly give them a personal reference at anytime! And yes, I have already asked them to become my “chimney go to guys”!

Tyler did a great job of installing our chimney liner on the coldest two days of the year. He was a pleasure to work with and was very flexible to adjust his schedule due to changing situations. I called a few numbers with no avail. Then I texted this random number hoping it was a cell phone (it was Tyler's). What a gentle and loving soul. I explained my hardship. I was going to have to go without heat all winter. He heard my cry, worked with me and the limitations I was facing financially and made it happen. I have HEAT!!! Wonderful experience from beginning to end. They did what they said they would, when they said they would for the price quoted. When they were done everything was cleaned up like they had never been here. And bonus, Tyler and his helper, Dalton, are the NICEST guys.

We had Tyler take down and rebuild our chimney, install liners for both a wood stove and our furnace. We couldn’t have asked for better service. Tyler was very thoughtful and truly cared about his work. He made sure we were informed every step of the way and spent the time to explain the process especially when we were confused or unsure. Tyler and his brothers went above and beyond to make sure we got exactly what we needed - fixing our old wood stove at the very last minute even when it wasn’t his responsibility. They were careful to not damage our roof and worked under very challenging circumstances. I wish all contractors in Vermont were like them. I can’t say enough good things about this company. Green Mountain chimney care folks are The real deal, and by that I mean, they take the time to know your story, to understand the needs of your lifestyle, and the unique aspect of your actual building. They are knowledgeable in the field and willing to explain every detail in a manner that’s understandable and educational. Not only do they immediately put booties on their boots, but upon departure, there wasn’t one piece of creosote or ash or smudging anywhere! Finally, a couple of days later, you will get a thorough and well-written report. If I had tons of money, I would invest in this business having more working crews, so Green Mountain chimney care could service more people.

We got a new wood stove this year, which meant getting the chimney inspected, getting a new chimney installed and installing the new stove. Tyler responded promptly to emails, phone calls and texts, explained the process and safety guidelines thoroughly and helped us get the incredibly heavy new stove off the truck and up the stairs, when the shippers would not. He handled all of the work carefully and precisely, with extra attention to safety. When unexpected situations occurred (inevitably!) he was able to find several solutions to choose from, without delaying the installation, adding cost or compromising the safety or the appearance of the installation. I would recommend Tyler Cottrell/Green Mountain Chimney Care in a heartbeat - and in fact have already done so several times in the first week since our stove was installed.

Tyler is an incredibly hard worker who takes pride in doing a superb job. Due to his outstanding work, attention to detail, and commitment to making sure that everything he installs is functioning perfectly, our woodstove is now working 100%.

In a world where you often have long waits on calls about house-related issues, Tyler responds the same or the next day. We just got a call from him on New Year’s Day asking if our stove was working properly. When we told him about one problem, Tyler was at our door within 10 minutes and fixed it without charging us.

Came out same day to service and clean a wood stove flue that was clogged. Solved the issue and the following day he provided an extension report on what maintenance I needed to do going forward both inside the house and with the chimney on the roof.

I cannot recommend Tyler and his guys highly enough! When our furnace service man couldn't fix our furnace and get it running due to chimney issues, Tyler shifted his schedule around to fit in relining our old chimney. He and his guys were friendly, courteous, and professional. 100% would hire them again if I need chimney work!

Tyler and his crew came by on very short notice as my wood stove chimney leak was getting worse and the fall rains were about to start. They worked on four different potential problems on the chimney and within 30 minutes, they had fixed the leaks, advised on some preventative measures for the future, and loaded up their ladders and tools to leave.
