Great experience using Ben and his team at Great Oak Roofing. The price was very reasonable. The work & quality were top notch. The crew did a good job making sure all debris and building materials were removed from my yard and checked the neighboring yards as well - all yards were broom swept clean. Ben reviewed the finished project with me and made sure I was completely satisfied with the job and work activity. I have recommended Great Oak Roofing to my family and friends.

When I have to spend on home services, I look first to support independent businesses. Being "new" to Baltimore, I'm having to do this with a number of businesses.One needed service was window replacements and Great Oak Roofing became my choice and I'm glad I chose them!
I had differing and specific concerns depending upon the room so all of my windows were not the same. Ben, the owner, listened, advised and followed up from beginning to end, including checking in on his installers (who were fantastic) to check installation process and discuss any concerns I might have before proceeding (e.g. I questioned whether I sh/could keep outer storm windows despite new triple pane windows, or proceed without them). I appreciate that all were included in the discussion and am confident that I made the right decision with Ben leading the way. I am very happy with my windows and will be calling Ben back to complete the rest of my home.
Final thought: for those who are intentional and sincere about supporting independent businesses, the owner of that business is key. Presuming the owner is convincingly qualified, his or her attention, care and respect for its customer should be reflective in the business' employees and agents. These are the businesses I am happy to support and see grow! Managing growth can be a whole new set of issues, but something tells me Great Oak will grow quickly and grow well!

It was 11 PM last night and this gentleman in the Great Oak Roofing truck was SO dedicated to his job and committed to getting the job done, that he was driving on 83N with only 3 wheels on the truck! I was astonished at his integrity and tenacity, sparks were flying but that didn't stop him from getting to that roof in need. Dale would be mighty proud

We recently had our (126 year old!) flat roof and gutters replaced by Great Oak Roofing and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results! From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. Ben and his team, headed by Mynar and Josh, were professional, punctual, and highly skilled. They took the time to explain the entire process and answered all my questions thoroughly. The job was not easy - our 1898 home had its original metal roof topped by layer upon layer of additional materials - all of which they had to tear off to the wood structure underneath.

The quality of the workmanship is outstanding. They used top-notch materials, and the attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the job. The crew was respectful of my property, ensuring everything was clean and tidy at the end of each day.

The project was completed on schedule and within the quoted budget. I was particularly impressed with how they handled unexpected issues, quickly resolving them without any hassle.

I had an angel looking over my shoulder when I Googled roofing companies last week.

My former roof was about 2 years old and needed to be replaced. No, the 2 is not a typo. The company that installed it did not do it correctly. I had severe issues due to water damage and while I won't get into that here, I genuinely was terrified that the next company would do the same thing to me and my mother. Ben was the first of three companies that I had set up to give me an estimate.
After he left, I cancelled the other two and waited anxiously for what came next. I am writing this review because the roof was finalized today and I cannot explain how much stress comes off when you work with a company that knows what it's actually doing.
Ben, the owner, personally came out and actually LISTENED to what the issues were. He was professional, knowledgeable, and kind. All of the problems and shoddy workmanship from the last job was replaced with a functional and beautiful roof that I can be proud of. I am no longer scared that my roof and attic pose any more health issues.
The trim was done perfectly and I no longer see unwanted beams of light cascading into my attic. The last company must have been using a high powered laser beam to install extra long nails into the wood. Speaking of nails, Great Oak Roofing left the yard and surrounding area so clean that I was honestly shaken with the difference of installation between companies. There were maybe four or five nails around the entire house. The cleanup was impeccable.
Before I leave this here, I just have to add, that not once did I feel taken advantage of. I cannot EXPLAIN to you how many times (and I hate to say it but it's unfortunately true) I have had workers or companies here fixing something and the costs were clearly jacked up due to me being a woman.
I know this to be true as twice I have had my brother purposefully walk in after the final price was given and talk to them. Thousands, THOUSANDS, were actually taken off of two separate jobs from different companies.
I had NO ISSUES with Ben regarding fairness, price, and the quality workmanship that he left behind. I thank God for honest people like him in our community. I highly recommend Great Oak Roofing if you need doors, roofing, siding or gutter work. Thank you Ben, truly.

We use Great Oak Roofing for our Marvin window install. The owner Ben was so helpful and was available 24/7. We went with the Marvin Elevate windows with bronze fiberglass exterior and the interior was a beautiful white wood. Great Oak Roofing was even 40% cheaper than the big companies that sell basic vinyl windows. We were amazed to get such beautiful windows for the price we did. We also got 2 upgraded provia doors at about half the cost of our other bids as well. They are beautiful. We are very happy. We will be certainly calling them for our next project.

Ben and his team are very professional and provide outstanding customer service. Also, Ben communicated extremely well throughout the entire process. To illustrate, he let me know when the building materials were coming, when his guys were going to be there, and when to expect the job completed. Also, Ben was the one I dealt with through the entire process and he inspected his crews throughout the repair. My point being, I was dealing with owner and not a salesman trying to quote me a new roof. There is real value in dealing with a company that views you as a partner and not a business transaction. In contrast, I dealt with two other roofing companies before I hired Great Oak Roofing. Ben’s competitors were terrible at communicating and were unresponsive in providing me with information and services I needed (inspection, tarping, estimates, repair). Great Oak Roofing was outstanding in all regards!! I highly recommend him for any roofing repairs or replacements.
