Great Northern Builders did extensive renovations on my 125-year-old house, adding a bathroom, replacing windows, a furnace, ductwork, electrical wiring, insulation, roof, and siding. They also shored up a foundation problem and tore down and replaced the old garage. Also turned a shed into a studio space.

Despite several setbacks to our project (all of which were supply related and not the fault of Great Northern Builders), the crew has been great. They have accommodated several changes we have added during the course of the project and have made suggestions for others which have worked out well. We would definitely recommend them and expect to hire them for future renovation projects.

We have had two outstanding experiences with Great Northern Builders. In 2022 we hired them to remodel our 900 sq ft addition that had previously been our office/shop into a future aging-in-place first floor apartment for us. In 2023 we had a pipe burst in our main house that caused significant damage to part of our first floor and basement. We felt very fortunate that we were able to engage Great Northern Builders to take on the restoration project. In addition to repairing the damage, we took advantage of the opportunity to make some renovations that we had been thinking about before the damage and are very pleased with the results.

We are extremely happy with the completed work in both projects and with the entire process from beginning to end. Initially, founder Len Bogh met with us and contributed his expertise and creativity in planning both projects. Maya Bogh set us up with the all-inclusive CoConstruct on-line project management system. Each job had a project manager (Scott and Todd) who kept the projects running smoothly and were responsive to our concerns. In addition, there were office managers (Betsy and Melanie) who set up and joined us on appointments to choose appliances, etc. and kept us abreast of any problems. All the tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, painters and plumbers) were very skilled, professional and friendly; and often were able to offer creative solutions to problems that surfaced.

Without reservation, we highly recommend Great Northern Builders. From the owners to the tradespeople we have nothing but praise to say for the creative planning, the management and the work that was so efficiently and beautifully completed!

Great Northern Builders recently completed a first-floor-living addition for us. We are thrilled with the process and the result. The workmanship is superb throughout. Scott's management of the subcontractors was first class, and his communication with us throughout the duration of the project was top-notch. Allison did a great job helping us select materials, and Mel was awesome with the initial design and quote phase. They are known to be on the expensive end, but the true value achieved is an example of the old axiom that you get what you pay for.

In April of 2019 we went with Great Northern Builders to renovate and finish our basement. Wanting to keep the company we chose local, we met with a few local contractors before Great Northern Builders. After meeting with the owner Len, we immediately knew we wanted to use them for our project. Len was professional, knowledgeable and brought ideas for our space no one else did.
GNB was enthusiastic about the project and came up with designs to maximize the space that we never would have thought of on our own. They were on time and on budget. All employees we interacted with were friendly and courteous.
