Grand Rising was the only roofing company that required a fee for a quote on a roof replacement. I reached out to the company and spoke with Alan several times. He had difficulty making it out to our area (Nothern Washinton Parish) and we had to reschedule a couple times. The final time we talked he informed me there would be a charge for the quote as my insurance was covering the cost. This was the only roofing company to require such a charge, and I found this to be odd. We did not use the company for this reason.

Another great experience with Grand Rising! They were patient through my tile selection process and were able to schedule me quickly once our tile arrived. They were crazy clean given that it is a dirty process and as quiet as possible allowing us to both work from home. We would highly recommend them and have additional projects in the works with them ourselves.

Would give 100 stars - great communication throughout the whole process, on time, and a fabulous finish. This was our second project with Grand Rising Construction and we are definitely coming back to them for more in the future.

Alan, at Grand Rising came highly recommended, called with concerns with my back yard previously flooding with some drainage issues, and Alan came within a week to access the problem, not only was he professional explaining in detail my options but he chose and option for me that would be effective and actually save on cost, the finished project was better then expected, efficient work and project was completed within the time frame given, Alan have been professional throughout, i will definitely be using this company again, finally found a construction company reliable!!! Grand Rising and Alan did a great job rebuilding my deck, building a walkway / sidewalk, and building a gate in my existing fenced in backyard. He is always courteous, prompt, easy to talk to, and finished the work ahead of schedule. I would definitely hire him again in the future.

The backyard deck covers most of my backyard (we don’t have much yard area) and is where my air conditioner outside unit sits which makes replacing the boards below it more difficult and also required replacing rotted boards in the framework underneath it.

I requested the rock walkway (sidewalk) be built to match my neighbor’s which first required filling in the missing dirt from soil erosion. I had already had gutters installed previously to prevent future erosion. Also homes in this neighborhood are built really close to each other so the sidewalk covers the entire right side of my house’s yard area.

The gate had to be created within an existing fence which made this difficult too. The neighborhood association grass cutters broke the gate a month or so later because of their carelessness and the pre-existing fence poor condition. Alan came out and fixed it at no charge!

I contacted grand rising to get a new fence on my house and I was blown away with the results. The picture I sent them off of Pinterest was an exact match to the gate that I received.

The workers were professional and always on time. Throughout the entire process the contractor was hands-on and easy to reach. It made me feel heard and like I wasn’t just another number. After seeing how good the gate turned out, I inquired about power washing my house and once again, I was left with exceeded expectations.

We hired Alan & Grand Rising for several projects and I can heartily recommend them. They were prompt professional clean and fair. I will hire them again and if you have a project you should too! Thank you Grand Rising!

We contacted Grand Rising Construction to remove a deck and door, enclose the wall, and replace the siding on our old New Orleans-style house. We were immediately impressed by Alan's attention to detail. He listened to our needs, took copious notes, and provided us with a highly detailed and competitive quote that outlined each step of the process and the materials that would be used.

Alan and his crew were able to come out within a week and finished the job in about two days. They did an amazing job blending the repairs seamlessly into the existing house--you can't even see where the work was done. New roof on an old, historic house. Very well done and conscientious workers. Also a very professional approach. Kept me apprised and managed my expectations so I wasn’t nervous about this significant investment. Money and time well spent.

Wish I could give 50 stars to rate this company. Such a great, stress free experience. I called them on Saturday .. we had an old decorative ceiling beam that was coming detached .. the owner came out within the hour I called. He put wood braces to keep the beam from falling any further. He said he would come Monday to remove the beam and repair the ceiling. He and his guys were here first thing Monday morning. They prepped the area and took the beam down and repaired the ceiling and painted it. They matched the paint color on the parts of the wall that had been covered by the beam. It looks amazing!! The clean up after they finished was outstanding. Such a professional company and crew. They are the best!! We will definitely be calling them for any work we need done. I'm so glad we found them! As a homeowner of a historic property in New Orleans, I have experienced my share of frustrating contractor experiences and I always prepare myself for disappointment and frustration. There was not one minute of that angst with Grand Rising Construction LLC and its owner Alan Washington and his crew. I needed an old metal fence removed with concrete supports and a large tree stump to extract in order to construct a new historic-district approved wooden fence. The entire process was seamless and pleasant: Alan responded to my inquiry quickly, scheduled a quote in a few days, showed up on time to review the scope of work, presented me with a very competitive quote in a matter of days, and was ready to start work quicker than i expected. On Monday morning his crew showed up on time, with all the necessary materials and worked diligently to remove the old fence. By the end of Day 2, I had 90 feet of new fence and I couldn't be more pleased with the finished product. In all the texts and email exchanges I had with Alan, he always wrote "Thanks for trusting us." Having been burnt in the past, I didn't at first but now I have no hesitation in trusting Alan and Grand Rising Construction with future projects and recommending them to friends and neighbors.

Beautiful, professional work done swiftly and thoroughly. The owner was forthcoming when he came to install my unit, and saw it wasn’t the best choice for long term use. He and his employee had come ready to install, could’ve easily gone ahead and done it and it would’ve looked great, I wouldn’t have known the difference, but his integrity was steadfast. Thats not as common as we may like it to be. Will definitely be contacting for future home installations.

We were so impressed with the owner's professionalism. They gave us an estimate clearly outlining what they would do along with the cost of the job. The crew arrived promptly each day and worked hard to repair termite damage to the carport. The project was finished within a week. The demolition and construction debris was cleaned up nicely. The finished project is beautifully done. We are very, very pleased with the entire process.

Jarvis did an incredible job building a covered pergola in our backyard. He listened carefully to our needs and gave us solid advice on how to proceed. It means a lot when someone takes the time to hear your dream and make it a reality. His team built a beautiful covered area that will be treasured for many years to come. I cannot recommend Grand Rising Construction highly enough. We needed an entire porch replaced and two others sealed and repainted. Alan provided us with a very reasonable estimate and started work almost immediately. The team was punctual, skilled and a pleasure to interact with. We were blown away by their attention to detail. After the porch was replaced, Alan took the time to re-level the mulch in the adjacent garden bed that had been disturbed during construction. It is the little things like this that sets Grand Rising apart from the rest. These guys are consummate professionals and we will undoubtedly go to them for any future projects.

Grand Rising is run by two incredible men who ensure that the job is done and that it is done well. Alan and Jarvis are men of their word for one thing, which is always a plus in the contracting world. Secondly, they do quality work. I hired Grand Rising to help update my new home and add in a fence for the backyard with a motorized gate. Through the process there were things that were found that needed to be updated, as will happen when working on old homes. Alan and Jarvis quoted reasonable prices and offered reasonable solutions when necessary and were always within fair market value. Additionally, they went above and beyond time and time again. That motorized gate was a headache, and yet they persevered and kept at it to make it work the way I needed it to and never once complained or charged extra for the time and energy expended.

I truly cannot say enough good things about this company. From putting up a gate to installing a barn door to putting up a patio/pergola and to gutters with new facia and soffits and then a new roof because of house insurance, I can say that I got to see Grand Rising do a number of small to big jobs and I was impressed at every turn with their level of professionalism and care for the job. Al and his crew were fantastic. They responded quickly to us when we wanted to build a new deck and covered patio. They started promptly and transformed unused space in our back yard to a shady oasis for spending time together and entertaining. Very solidly built and precise! And, and a very reasonable price. I can't recommend Alan Washington enough. I bought my house in 2014 and have had to do several repairs recently. Alan and his team set up a new fence in the backyard. He installed an attic door. Most recently repaired a major leak and replaced old pipes in my tenant's bathroom. He has always been prompt and quick to respond. If he can't do the work he is able to find others that can complete the task. In the six years of owning my house I have struggled to find help for small repairs in a timely manner. Now I feel like that's not longer an issue.

Grand Rising completely renovated our house before we purchased. We had been under contract with two other homes before buying this one and had to walk away due to inspection. It was such a relief to find the incredible work from Grand Rising: our inspector was more than impressed.

We had the pleasure to work with Grand Rising construction and his team back in November to trim our gigantic oak trees that were hovering over our roof and electrical cables by the house and main through road.
