I really wanted to give them a good rating....but a year after they replaced my roof and gutters, I am not pleased with the overall service and quality of work. Communication was poor throughout. I spent a SIGNIFICANT amount of time attempting to communicate and help manage this project because I needed it done correctly. I don't believe it is still correct. Buyer beware.
I had several conversations with the owner initially to explain expectations and overall scope of the project. It was somewhat difficult to communicate a specific time to talk, with most of the time the owner just showing up at my house without my knowledge. I explained I needed a new roof and gutters, specifically where each downspout would be placed, along with the materials I already had to complete the job. It took forever to figure out what color shingles we wanted to install because they couldn't communicate to us what they had in stock. We ended up selected 4 different colors before the 5th color was in stock. This took up a lot of time because again, communication wasn't great.
They agreed to the job and scope and work had started. Roofers showed up, they were professional, and did a great job tearing down and installing the new roof. I really had no issues with the roof, other than a few missed bare nail heads that were fixed later.
The gutters were a different story...The gutter team showed up late, and had no idea what they were doing. The owner never communicated ANYTHING that I had wanted or we had agreed upon before starting work. Downspouts were placed in the wrong spots, gutters were sloped incorrectly, missing sealant, missing diverters. After I was able to contact the owner about all the issues, he agreed to fix it. This went on for over a month, attempting to contact them to finish the job without any knowledge of when the gutter team would show up at our house. We would come home, and they would be working on our house (dogs going crazy inside) and none of this would be planned.
The reason I am writing this a year later - I have found several issues on the gutters after the fact. Today I just found unsealed bolt holes in my fascia from when they missed the spot for drilling in the gutter brackets. I also have a spot that I have complained about 2 other times that is holding rainwater 24 hours after a rainstorm. They have attempted to fix this last year, and haven't been able to slope it correctly.
I attached pictures of the rainwater in the gutters that I found today. The other two pictures are from the duct that they misplaced, and the gutter that they forgot to seal until I called them back to finish the job.
We had our roof replaced in August of 2023. There were a few things we questioned when job was completed. Paul and his son came back and addressed the problems. Have always had good service from Grafton Roofing. They have replaced 3 roofs for us and always an outstanding job!
They repitched my gutters and then noticed leaking behind my facia. It's been 3 1/2 months and they still have not come out to fix it as I believe it probably had to do with something they did when repitching the gutters. They are very friendly but have told me they will be out in a couple days 4 times and no one shows up. Hard to get ahold of and bad at returning calls. They now won't return email or calls. I would not use again and recommend going somewhere else.
