Bob is an expert with roofing, remodeling and repair. He is a very honest and dependable and one of the kindest folks you'll meet.

Bob really goes the extra mile to make sure things are right and that we understood our options. No trying to sell us things we didn't need or pressuring us and he treated us and our property with the utmost respect. Originally he did some gutter repairs/improvements for us and then we had a storm and asked if he would check our roof for damage. He told us there was definitely damage and he thought it was worth filing a claim but that some areas weren't as bad as others so it really depended upon our insurance and the adjuster who came out to look at it. He met with the adjuster and even the adjuster commented on what a great guy Bob is. Bob worked though a few odd things with the insurance company and he and his team did a great job replacing the roof. No surprises except what a great company and genuine guy Bob is to work with.

I was referred to Golden Rule Remodeling by another company to do some subfloor repairs. I called on Jan. 12th to have someone come over and quote my repairs. They said they were driving at the time and to text them my information and they would get back to me. I did so and a week later I still had not heard a reply. I texted them again on Jan. 18th before they called me to schedule a quote that day at 4PM. At 4:30PM they still hadn't arrived yet and I had to call to ask where they were. They then told me they would show up at 5PM now. The quoting process in the house was fine. It was clear they were very knowledgeable and walked me through different options. They left saying it would take some time to quote. After a week, on Jan. 26th, I asked if the quote was ready yet and they told me it was not without providing a time table. It is currently Feb. 18th and I still have not heard a word from them since. Golden Rule Remodeling is clearly not going to get my business since they are unreliable at getting me a quote and I can't count on them showing up on time to do any of the work since they have not been timely for anything else. Unfortunately the company who referred me to Golden Rule Remodeling is also losing my business since none of the subfloor repairs can be done.

Bob was great to work with on our addition project. He provided high quality work that turned out beautiful. We added a mother-in-law addition that included a bathroom with a walk in shower, a walk in closet and large studio style room that included a kitchenette. The addition also included a new laundry room, converting old laundry to a mudroom and adding some additional closet storage. It was refreshing having an honest, friendly and caring contractor. I had what I thought was a leaking skylight and spoke with Bob about a solution. Even though this was a project that would of been of little to no consequence for his business, Bob spent half an hour on the phone with me educating me with a complete picture of the potential situation and solutions. I had another roofer evaluate the problem and he verified exactly what Bob had said. It turns out the problem was condensation related and not a roof leak. I could not of asked for a more Professional, experienced, and genuinely concerned person to address my roofing issue.

Bob came to our rescue! We have had Bob come and bid a couple of projects over the years but life happened and we were not able to move on them. Then one day a few weeks back we had an emergency rot and mold issue show its ugly face. I called Bob on a Friday night and he not only answered my call but answered knowing that I was calling him (he must have saved my numbers in his phone from years ago). He came right away Monday morning and by Wednesday afternoon our nightmare was fixed. He was kind enough to fit our emergency into his busy schedule and took care of us.
