We had Gerken complete a siding job on our two story home. The entire team at Gerken was fantastic to work with from start to finish! From the initial meeting with Greg and Jon, to Jon putting up with my many questions and quote revisions. The office staff communicating the schedule changes due to Mother Nature, and of course the install team who were some of the hardest working individuals I have ever seen. You could tell they take pride in their work, and are skilled at what they do! They arrived bright and early every morning and worked until sundown! Even when a rainstorm popped up a few times they just moved to work on an area that was undercover until it passed! They cleaned up at the end of each day and at the completion of the job, left our yard spotless! The result turned out even better than I imagined! I wouldn’t hesitate to turn to Gerken for any other job needed and would gladly refer them to others!

The gutter replacements were installed quickly and efficiently. They even went so far as to hook up my rain barrel. No more leaks or overflow. All the rain we have recently had has been a great test. We are pleased.

Nick and his crew did an outstanding job. On one of the hottest days of the year, they stripped away the old shingles, replaced sheeting and put on the new Atlas shingles all in one day. When they finished, they cleaned everything up, leaving no trace that a new roof had been installed. The crew was extremely professional, hard working and did a great job. Professional company who showed up as planned and completed the work in the time projected. They provided verbal, written, and visual support throughout the process. All team members worked hard and positively to handle all aspects of the roofing job. Coordination of arranging and removing supplies was flawless.

The work we had done was great. My issue is we got 2 quotes, one for gutters and the other for soffit and facia on our porch. We have a piece of facia on our 3rd story that needs to be fixed (just nailed back into place) and asked for this work to be done regardless. We got the quotes for the work and neither had this on the quote. I called the sales guy who came out to give us the quote to ask him where it was and left a message. He texted me back stating that there was no charge for it since it was really a quick easy fix - GREAT! We decided not to have the soffit and facia done because I want a specific product so we sign the contract for the gutters. Fast forward, guys come, do the gutters and did a great job with them (however didn't really do a good job cleaning up, we have aluminum pieces all over our gravel driveway) but didn't fix the facia. I texted the sales rep and he stated that it wasn't included in the quote for the gutters, but was for the soffit and facia quote, . We specifically stated that we needed that piece to be fixed and wanted it included in the quotes.

Well no they didn't actually do my roof. I chose another local that promised less cost but boy I wish I didn't because now I'm $7000 further in the hole and the original estimate (from pickle )already had all the extra what ifs in there.......

They went out of their way to accommodate our job while dealing with all the rain. Showed up earlier than promised with a phone call prior to arrival. The crew knocked out my siding repair in about 90 minutes. Cleaned up the jobsite and they were gone. Very pleased with the results.

Very pleased with Gerken Roofing. Nick who was our sales advisor was great to work with. They kept us informed throughout the entire process from estimate to picking out the type of shingle to scheduling to installation to final walk thru. They install a quality great looking roof. We have an extremely large and difficult roof which they replaced in 1 day. Aaron our project manager was very good to keep us informed on the day of installation. Their workers showed up at 645 am and worked to completion at 7 at night. Gerken also had great options for financing if needed. Would highly recommend them for a new roof installation.

From start to finish, everyone involved in working on my house were cordial, knowledgeable and efficient….They arrived on time, worked 7-7 the first day and finished at lunchtime the next day…..they left the property exactly as they found it, even blowing more of the leaves from around the house! Two dumpsters were delivered and picked up as soon as the job was over…..a new roof is quite an investment and I feel the price was fair with the best quality shingles on the market…I would recommend Gerken Roofing to everyone looking for quality workmanship…..genuinely good people

It really baffles my mind how many positive reviews this company has, with the hell they put me through. I contacted them to fix my leaking chimney. Nick came out a few days later to see what needed done. As a person who has done labor jobs (HVAC) I wanted to ensure we were on the same page of what exactly needed done. I even crawled up into the roof with him. I got the proposal to reflash the chimney, remove rotted wood (both on the inside around Chimney and on roof) and replace shingles in the area. I was unable to get off work so I had my mom travel out to make sure they were able to get into the house. The team came, did HALF the job they were contracted to do and just left. Never entering my home to replace the rotted wood inside. I paid them before arriving home (big mistake) and imagine my surprise when I crawled into the attic to see the same rotted wood still all around the chimney. It took them 3 WEEKS and multiple phone calls and texts on my end to come back out to "fix" what was already to have been done. So that tells me, they have no problem stealing money and products from paying customers, don't read over the work order or inspect anything before they start ripping into someone's house. When they finally did come back, they left the attic stairs down and the light on in the attic. Just plain rude. The "fix" itself is crooked as hell and looks absolutely awful but I'm done fighting with this joke of a company. I will never use them for any services again and will steer everyone I know away from them. Look elsewhere for your roofing needs.

We initally contacted Gerken Roofing regarding a leak that was allowing moisture to enter the house. Nick Bachofsky came out to look at the problem and while he was here I asked him to check out the entire roof since we had experienced several leaks over the years. After looking at the roof he told us that it appeared to be poorly installed and that he wasn't surprised that we had experienced some leaks. He told us that he could repair the area of the roof that had the leak or he could replace the whole roof. I asked him to provide us with an estimate for both. We received the estimates in a couple of days. We were pleasantly surprised by the cost estimate to replace the entire roof, and since we wanted the peace of mind to be free of concerns over future leaks, we elected to move forward and have the entire roof replaced. Nick told us the roof replacement should take two days. Nick's latino crew arrived arround 7AM on the first day and got to work almost immediately. They first had to remove the gutter helmet that we had on our rain gutters. This was not something that they have to do very often and it was not in the estimate. They were very careful with the gutter helmet removal and we appreciated that since it is very costly to replace if damaged. His entire crew worked very hard and were very efficient in how they went about their work. Every person knew what they were supposed to do and they worked very well together. They finished up the first day around 7:45PM and were very diligent about cleaning up around the house. On day two they again arrived around 7AM and got to work. They finished their work on replacing the roof around 5PM on day two. The area around the house was probably cleaner than when they started their work. We are very pleased with the craftsmanship and the appearance of our new roof and thank Nick and his crew for their great work. We highly recommend Gerken Roofing for anyone needing a roof replacement or roofing repair.

We had a second story downspout rip off in a windstorm. Was afraid it might be difficult to get a large roofing company to come out for such a small job. Gave Gerken a call and in just a few days they were out to replace it with a whole new downspout (while it was snowing!). Highly recommend Gerken Roofing!

You will not go wrong with this company! We had 3 contractors come out for an estimate on new siding and shutters. Out of all 3, Nick was the most down to earth, knowledgeable and got our estimate to us when he said he would, 48 hours later. Their price was very reasonable.
It didn't take long to start the job once we gave the deposit and we were kept in the loop of the start date. The crew were quick, efficient, and clean. We have a fenced in yard for our dogs and they made sure the gates were closed and all debris was picked up.
It took a few weeks to complete, which was not their fault, because the shutters were not the standard size. No big deal, as they arrived the crew came the next business day to install them.
We are so happy with the new look for our home (from tan to blue-we get so many compliments on it) and are glad we went with the pickle!

I can't rave enough about Jim, Greg and the Gerken team! I needed to side our 130 year old farmhouse because I couldn't keep up with the yearly scraping, repairing and repainting of the old wooden siding. I was concerned that we'd lose the historic character of the house, like you sometimes see happen when a historic home is covered up without care. I didn't need to worry. Not only did Gerken find the exact color and width of clapboards, but they found beautiful headers for above the windows and cut them in such a way to mimic the wooden ones that needed replacing. New vinyl shutters were placed on the sides of our windows, (not on the siding) to give depth and appear just like our old working shutters. Jim even ordered vinyl shutter dogs and hinges to replace the rusted and broken wrought iron ones to complete the look. Unless you were here during the siding process to see it happen, you'd think my house just got a fresh coat of paint and repairs. It looks PERFECT and I couldn't be more pleased. Their team works HARD and they pay attentions to details. The team was so careful while having to work around my gardens too, and they cleaned up everything- down to he last nail. The Gerken team was amazing through the whole process- from calling for an appointment, getting a quote, and getting the job done.

These guys!! So, so great!! We have a house, a huge house. Said house has a ridiculous roof. 30 squares, extreme pitch and three stories off the ground. Gerken did a stellar job with every aspect of our roof replacement. The crew was so respectful of our home and property. You never would have known they were there by the time it was all said and done. My yard was cleaner than before they started. Beautiful craftsmanship and reasonable pricing. We needed our siding replaced which included removing a stone veneer from the 60s off half of the house. Nick came out to give us an estimate and walked us through what all would be needed. He was very knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions. He was patient with the color choice decision which I guess takes a long time in most instances.
The crew was fantastic!!! They were very nice and excellent craftsmen. The job would have been done on schedule except for the old stone siding removal which took a couple days longer than expected, it wasn't easy. We had a bit of water damage on one corner, which was expected, and was repaired well. When the job was completed, they cleaned the work areas up and aside from the expected foot traffic you couldn't tell anything was done.
In the end, we can't recommend them enough. The pricing was right, the people were great to deal with, the work is quality, and the transformation is top notch.

To be honest, I should’ve hired ’The Pickle’ to begin with… They came through with a reasonable quote within days of the storm damage, but, thinking it would be easier on us…. I went with Bella Crapstruction who had done work on our house 5 years ago. BIG MISTAKE and HARD LESSON LEARNED.

Out of about eight contractors that I called in a panic when our house was left half finished after I fired Bella Crapstruction, Nick B. at Gerken was the only one who showed up to help when we felt taken advantage of. He kept the cost low, was honest AND sent a quote in a timely manner. His communication with us through out the job was superior. Him and his crew even brought things to our attention that were done improperly by the previous “contractor.”

Keith and his crew did a great job working with us for a roofing project with lots of twists and turns! For each new problem we ran into on our end they figured out a solution for us without breaking the bank. They did a great job on the roof, re-did the decking and flashing solidly and at a reasonable price. Came in at 7am and finished by the evening. Would highly recommend.

Gerken came and replaced our Siding, Soffit, and Fascia. They were very professional and timely, as it only took them 3 days from start of job to finish, and the consult with Nick was super easy and seamless. We ended up having some rotten wood, when they uncovered the old Fascia and they made sure to correct that for us, not just slap the new stuff on. You can tell they really care about their clients and I honestly can’t recommend them more!! I am also a Realtor, and will be referring their services to my clients!!
