We hired GDC to construct a Trex deck for our backyard. Rocky and team did a fantastic job! Rocky did a great job communicating the entire job from planning to inspection. They took care of all the logistics with ordering materials and inspections with the town. The deck came out great. You can see their work product is very professionally done. Rocky and his guys are true gems! They have replaced my roof, built a deck around my pool, renovated a laundry/full bathroom and did a massive kitchen renovation complete with the installation of a huge load bearing steel beam. His team is professional, clean and respectful of my home. Rocky is also super easy to work with and a straight shooter. We decided to replace our roof and we went through the tedious process of checking contractors who were local for Bergen County, searched for good reviews, and were fully licensed and insured. We met with Rick from GDC and he was very patient to walk us through all the steps, answered all our questions and make suggestions what would work best for us and we felt confident that they could get the job done in time and meeting the standards we looking for. We thank Rick and the team for a job well done and in time.

GDC Contracting was an extreme pleasure to work with. We began our process in July of 2023 by reaching out to multiple companies to obtain quotes to have our home’s siding replaced. Rocky from GDC came to our home and spent quite a bit of time walking the property and offering recommendations and confirming exactly what we were looking for. About a week later he returned with a printed copy of the written estimate. Of the quotes that we obtained, GDC’s provided the most detailed information. The quote broke down each aspect of the job and what it would cost, giving us greater confidence in the accuracy of how it would impact our budget. Rocky was very helpful as we made changes to our initial scope of work and investigated materials we might use. Work began in September due to our own delays in making final decisions and a lot of rainy weather. When the crew arrived on the first day, it was very evident that they had been working together for a while and went right to work. The team’s site manager, Marci, was amazing. He handled any questions we had and took care to address any problems that arose as the work was being completed. They cleaned up at the end of each day and took care to maintain the property as best as possible. The final product is outstanding and we could not be happier with the outcome.

Spoke with Rocky after rainstorm revealed a couple leaks in one of our bedrooms. The roof was getting to the age where is made more sense to replace rather than repair. Heard back from Rocky the same day and he was onsite in two days to give me an estimate. Having done business with GDC previous for my siding, I was able to agree upon a fair price and set the date for the roof replacement. Workers were on time, very professional and friendly and did an excellent job - their cleanup of the yard after work was exceptional. Since GDC is a GAF authorized dealer, I feel that I got a quality product/job at a very fair price. I recommend GDC to anyone needing roof, siding or renovation work.

I can wholeheartedly recommend this contractor. GDC transformed our 100+ year old house with new siding , windows & gutters. The entire crew worked super hard at addressing all re-construction needs including planning , master carpentry and a highly skilled installers. Everyone was so friendly & responsive I would enthusiastically recommend them.

I have to give credit where it is due - I think Rocky and his team did a fantastic job. As you can see from the before pics, our house looked like a tri-color pine cone. GDC installed a new roof, siding, 3 windows, a door, and various misc touches and we were very happy with it. Rocky was extremely transparent, gave us great advice when asked, didn’t nickel and dime us, and most importantly did quality work that was on schedule and on budget. I leveled the scope of work with another local contractor and GDC, with price and reputation considered, was a no brainer and we were very happy with the results.
His work crew was very courteous and attentive to our needs (we have young kids) and that was greatly appreciated. They coordinated some work with our preferred HVAC contractor again demonstrating their eagerness to make the whole process as easy and seamless as possible for us.
I will very likely use them for additional interior renovation when the time comes so obviously I recommend their services.

GDC Contracting, Rocky and the entire crew are great. We had a tree fall on our enclosed porch. GDC repaired and replaced the porch roof, aligned the entire structure, replaced windows, siding and fixed our front steps. Rocky came the day after I called him for an estimate, worked with our insurance company (which wasn't easy) and started as soon as he could. His team are excellent at what they do and had our porch done in no time at all, making sure they finished every little detail. And all the while being very transparent about everything that was going on. We will definitely be using them again in the future.

I can’t recommend GDC enough. You can’t get more of a stand up straight forward type of guy then Rocky. He came to my house gave me a price gave me a start date and followed through with everything that he said .... he went above and beyond what he said he was going to do... I made an appointment to meet at my house to repair a leaking roof. We both agreed on a time and day. I rearranged my schedule to accommodate his to include missing my son’s basketball game. He never showed nor did he have the decency to call to reschedule. But then again he is a roofing contractor and these guys are a dime a dozen.

The reputation of this family is impeccable. Rocky's father Gene Durocher started the roofing business years ago and was always highly regarded. When Rocky began assisting his father he took the business to another level. Smart, knowledgeable, honest, trustworthy. If all contractors were as reputable as Rocky there would never be another consumer complaint. He has done work on my investment properties and when it came time to do work on my home he handled it from top, the roof, to the side, the siding, to the bottom, windows and deck. To have a sun-free deck I asked that he place a roof over the deck. What an amazing job. Looks like part of the original house. We get compliments all the time. This is the go-to guy. Contractor for a lifetime. I would trust him with my last dollar!

Rocky came highly recommended to me by a friend, I needed new roof, and needed shed repaired because of rot. He came gave me estimate and I was so impressed with his knowledge and honesty. Long story short, he & his crew came this past Thursday, and finished Friday. I can’t sing their praises enough. Extremely organized I highly recommend them.

Thanks to Rocky and his crew for a great roofing and siding job. In just one day they stripped and reshingled the roof, and replaced a skylight. In the next four days they removed two layers of old siding and added two layers of insulation before installing the new siding and gutters. Price was great and excellent materials. Attention to detail was outstanding. Also Rocky is very responsive and answers his own phone. He owns a dump truck so no need for dumpsters. And they came on their day off ( Saturday) to finish clean up before a snow storm. I highly recommend GDC!

We recently had our roof and gutters replaced by GDC. Starting with a list of 15 recommendations, Rocky at GDC clearly stood out as the most professional, knowledgeable and experienced of the group. GDC's pricing is fair and quality is impeccable. Best of all, Rocky actually calls you back and returns messages immediately. Imagine that! Our roof was in poor condition and needed all new boards. Rocky immediately was able to call the supplier and arrange same day delivery of material in order to avoid delaying the project. The crew was also very respectful and spent time after the job was completed to ensure that the site was clean and tidy. Communication is really the key. Rocky and his team were amazing and professional in replacing the roof on our home and garage. They use the best materials, were the greatest price wise and cleaned up better than any previous contractor we have had at our home. They used a tarp to protect the siding, magnetic rollers to pickup any nails they may have missed, and they worked in sections leaving no exposed roof overnight which is great for peace of mind with this unpredictable weather.
His prices are reasonable for the scope of work and quality of materials used.
They had the job completed in 1.5 days.

Honesty is hard to come by these days.
Called Rock for some estimates on a home we purchased. Our main concern was the roof and siding. Not knowing anything about roofing Rock did a great job explaining my roof had some years left (10/12 years) we used him for 3 different projects, siding, windows and french doors off the dining room. I have used GDC for my bathroom renovation and to install vinyl siding on my house. Rocky, the owner, is very thorough and stays on top of everything until the work is done. Very happy with their work and definitely recommend them.

After we had a fire at our house I had many different quotes from all different contractors . Rocky the owner of GDC came right over that day to walk me through our list of projects we had planned for our fire remediation.
