A little surprised by the high rating on here.

Winter before last, a giant tree hit my house in the middle of winter. We needed an emergency tarp, and we were very grateful that Friend Construction came out and tarped the roof on very short notice. They billed us promptly, and we were happy.

Given this very good experience, we wanted to use them to repair the roof damage. They seemed eager for the work, and even gave us a detailed estimate. My insurance company was being a little difficult, but I wanted to put a roof on my house no matter what, so I tried to get in touch with them to set a date to begin work. They said, "no problem, we'll call you back on Monday." They didn't call on Monday. In fact, I was never able to get in touch with them again. They just ignored my calls and voicemails. I had to call around the state to find another roofer. (Snow Country Roofing pulled through and did a great job in the end).

I was utterly flabbergasted by this behavior. An, "I'm so sorry, but we are now overbooked for the summer" would have perfectly sufficed.

Anyway, be warned. There are some cracks in this business.

This is our second roofing job that Friend's has completed for us. We wouldn't use anyone else. Eric and his crew are just great to deal with. The barn roof was completed and cleaned up in a day and his estimate was spot on and the cost was so reasonable for the quality and experience. We highly recommend this company to anone.

Friend Construction replaced our asphault roof at a far more reasonable price than three competing bids. We solicited other bids from many of the main players in Chittenden but they declined saying it was 'too complicated'. Eric Friend was particularly easy to coordinate with-- he's fair and personable. It's no wonder that Friend Construction has reroofed many other buildings in our immediate neighborhood.

If the company was too busy to do the work they should have been upfront about that.

Decent prices but most importantly great work. If you can book Eric, it's well worth your time.

He has great people working for him that always provide quality craftsmanship.

If I need a roof, he's where I go.
