Note: all the 5 star ratings are three years old. Our experience was not 5 star. Michael was a very nice person when we met for a quote. The house needed to have the gutters and the fascia underneath replaced. The quote was similar to other quotes but we chose Freedom Contracting because Michael said he was a Vet, and the good ratings from 3 years ago.
The work was delayed a bit because of weather. The first day of work they replaced the front fascia. When we returned home from work we texted Michael that we could NOT open the front screen door because the fascia was in the way. Michael then said his worker would fix it when they came back the second day. He also said to leave him a check since we would not be there when the work would be completed. A check was left, and when we returned home the front fascia was not fixed. Another text to Michael to say it was not fixed. He then said that he had done the front fascia for the first time homeowner for ‘free’. What a ‘gift’ - the front door cannot be used!!
The rest of the job was done well, it’s too bad we have to leave this review. We trusted this Vet, and we are now sad we did.
They came out in March to give me an estimate on my roof and skylight replacement that I wanted to get done in September. I text my email address and was told I’d get an estimate back in about a week. I never got the estimate. Contacted again in August that I still haven’t received the estimate and sent my email address again and was told I’d get it ASAP which I didn’t happen. Contacted again 2 weeks later and gave my email address again was told the same thing and still didn’t receive it then 2 weeks later was left a voicemail about the estimate and still didn’t receive it. I wanted to work with and give my business to them because they had good reviews however the service was unreliable and I was very disappointed. Maybe they do good work but I will never know as another company from quote to completion got the job done in a week. I don’t understand why a company would turn away business and in turn lose my future business as I was looking at remodeling all the exterior of my home in the next year. I hope you do better for other customers in the future.
I was referred to Freedom Contracting by Home Advisors. My garage looks amazing, and their customer service is top notch from beginning to end.
