Forward Home Enhancements

Sean and Forward Home Enhancements built a large covered deck on our home and the quality and final product is incredible. We were extremely happy with our experience and recommend him for anyone looking to create an outdoor oasis of their own.

Update as of 7/1/22:
Sean Hein has not delivered any materials or rendered any work for the two projects he collected down payments for in Oct 2020 & Jan 2021. On 4/25/22, Sean Hein stated he would prefer to refund the $8,000 down payment he collected for these jobs. Since then, he has gone no contact with us. While we’ve waited to hear from Sean, we’ve investigated and found some interesting pieces of information that others may find valuable.

It's my understanding from information provided to me from the Attorney General that Forward Home Enhancement does not have an active registration on file. The HIC# of 135822 that Sean Hein lists on his contracts has been deactivated. The law requires that all contractors who perform at least $5,000 worth of home improvements per year register with the Attorney General’s Office.

It’s my understanding from information provided to me from the Attorney General and Sean Hein’s insurance company that Forward Home Enhancements has no active insurance policy on file as Sean Hein was dropped from his insurance policy for non-payment.

Sean Hein/Forward Home Enhancements has a long list of civil judgements against him dating back several years, with active, pending cases against him right now. I recommend you do your research before giving Sean Hein any of your money.

Update as of 1/10/22:
Something has drastically changed with Sean Hein at Forward Home Enhancements over the past few months. He has dropped off the face of the planet regarding projects I gave him down payments for over a year ago. The times he has responded to my countless texts, calls and emails, the promised deadlines have come and gone with no follow through. This is not the same Sean I was working with a year ago. It's a shame, because when he actually shows up he does good work. I have referred him to several people, and all but one, he is doing the same thing to. Non responsive, took their money, and has seemingly fallen off the face of the planet. Use at your own risk.

I cannot say enough good things about Sean and his team! Sean repaired multiple items (a structural beam being the largest of the items) in my Sharpsburg house that were improperly installed by a previous contractor. Sean is very knowledgeable and was able to explain everything in great detail. He followed up with me daily on the progress and always left the job site clean. I have worked with countless contractors over the past few years doing house renovations in Pittsburgh, and Sean is top notch. Professional, honest and very reasonably priced. To find someone who encompasses all of these traits is very rare in the contractor world. I wish I would have found Forward Home Enhancements sooner!

I am a paraplegic and I wanted to get access to my back deck and yard from inside my house. Numerous other contractors bid the job at outrageous totals and some where uncertain about the job. Sean the owner came and took my ideas and must haves and made some improvements and the end project was more than I could have expected. Quality work was done at a reasonable price. I will definitely use this company in the future. I would highly recommend this company.
