I want to say thank you to forte construction team . You guys did a fantastic job on my basement. Getting financing was easy with the help of Heather and men Heather is your go to girl. If you have the idea she will bring the design to life. She’s patient and very professional and she very good with design. We love our new basement wit a lots of space and we are very grateful for the good work. We hope to work with you back in the future. We recently had a kitchen remodel completed. New counters, island was cut down to single level, sink changed to workstation style, island counter modified for replacement downdraft stove and tile backsplash. Forte was very professional and assisted us with the design, walked us through every step and while there was a delay (unknown plumbing issue and sub floor repair under the old stove) they still completed the work in a timely manner. Additionally their staff ensured the project site was cleaned up each night. We will definitely use them for our future projects.

Every detail was considered and completed with pride. The zippered plastic entry to the bath was brilliant and kept our bedroom clean. Widening the bathroom door to ADA standards was wise, should either of us ever require a wheelchair. The tile work on the floors and shower walls was expertly done and looks beautiful. The new vanity, high toilet with bidet seat, lights, and plumbing were installed with perfection. The shower was finished with a handsome glass panel that looks invisible. This curbless shower measuring 5 feet by 5 feet is luxurious, and includes a built in shower seat, rainfall and handheld shower wand, and stunning long shower niche. We also love the details like the Bluetooth speaker in bathroom ceiling and the gorgeous linear drain - they add to the spa experience. Everyone who sees the bathroom is impressed and envious. We live in a retirement community and know that this bathroom has greatly increased our resale value. But for now, we linger in the shower and will enjoy it for years to come.

We had an old, outdated kitchen completely remodeled and to say we are thrilled with the final product is an understatement. Bayram made the project go as smooth as possible and he was generally good about keeping us updated with the progress and plan. I wish material pricing could be a bit more transparent, but that’s more on the suppliers than Forte’s business practices. We are considering a bathroom project as well and Forte will be the first number I call if we get to that stage.

We had Forte do a full kitchen renovation including the removal of a wall. The planning was detailed and organized, once the job began the team came every week day until finished. Any issues were quickly and satisfactorily dealt with in a timely manner. The transformation of our 1950s kitchen was amazing and we couldn’t be happier!

We had flooding damage and chose Forte to install new flooring on our main floor and basement floor as well as to repair drywall and a few other repairs. Bayram came out right away, was easy to talk with, and promptly sent us the estimate and timeline. We enjoyed working with him and his team at their service center when we went to select materials. The work was completed swiftly and with pride. We are more than happy with the results, and I look forward to working with them on our next home projects.

We had a water leak that turned into a major mess in our home. It was not going to be an easy fix. I looked and selected Forte due to their ratings.Bayram came out and found that the same thing the adjuster found with the caution that when they ope things up it could be worse. Well, some things got worse and others were not bad at all.We hired them.. We made the right choice. The job was intense, but they worked very closely with us, got everything perfect and we have never been happier. Forte is a company that has great people and does great work. I had a lot of work done on the house and am very pleased at how it came out, as well as the value in terms of cost. The price of the project was very reasonable and less expensive than other places in town. I had the kitchen gutted and remolded, two bathrooms gutted and remodeled, ceiling repaired, front door and sidelights replaced, water pipes moved, stairs replaced and remodeled, carpet taken up and flooring put in two bedrooms, floor replaced in hallway and kitchen, fan and lights taken out and recessed lighting put in and probably a few other things I'm leaving out. As you can read, they do it all. It's one stop shopping which is very convenient. There is a lot of decisions to be made along the way and I have to thank the Forte staff to include Bayram, Heather, and Sandra for helping me out. They bring a lot of experience with them to a project and don't interfere with the decisions but are there to assist when you get a little stuck. They were very professional and thorough the whole way through. They back up their work too. I could call them today and tell them I noticed something isn't quite right, and they'd come out and fix it. But I haven't had to, because it's all just how I wanted it!

Absolute pros from start to finish. We did a huge kitchen remodel and couldn't be happier with it. Bayram was easy to reach and always answered questions promptly, he worked within our budget, and made sure we were comfortable and prepared for every step. The workers were all super professional, respectful of our home, and accommodating to our needs (like making sure the refrigerator stayed plugged in the entire time so we didn't have to move everything out of it!) The best part? They finished WELL ahead of schedule, and nothing felt rushed. I would recommend this company 1000%.

We asked Forte Construction to completely makeover our master bathroom, including increasing the size of our shower by expanding into an adjacent walk-in closet, and to upgrade the finishes in the master bedroom, including carpet, paint, and ceiling fan. We were very impressed at all stages of design and construction. We had established a budget for the work and were pleasantly surprised that the estimate was just within that budget. When the time came to select materials, we were notified what the allowances were for all of the items and finishes. The in-house showroom and the design consultants were very helpful in assisting us with colors and styles. When the construction crew arrived, they were timely and professional. We were very impressed with the quality of the workmanship. The communication was excellent as well. From the minute that we contacted Forte for an estimate, through the design stage, and then during construction, our questions were answered, we got quick responses to phone calls or emails, and most importantly, the field crew told us each day what the goal was for that day, and we were asked to review the progress at the end of each workday. Other reviewers have mentioned the fact that you cannot be in a hurry for the work to start. This company is in demand. This, plus the methodical approach to the project (for example, they will not start the work until all materials are ordered and delivered) means that there will be a delay. But once the work begins it is all-out, and it is well worth the wait. Highly recommended.

This company is very efficient and very professional. I contacted them for some basement renovation and they immediately sent somebody to take a look, estimate was sent the following day as promised and the work started in a few days. The crew that came in were very professional and polite and did a great job! I would definitely wholeheartedly recommend Forte Construction & Design for any home projects.

By far the best company I could’ve chosen for our tub replacement. They removed the huge eyesore tub and replaced it with a standalone tub with very minimal construction, kept their work area and my home clean and were overall very professional.

In summary, Forte beat the competition’s prices by a significant margin AND with more diligence; that lead’s me to believe that Forte would beat the competition in quality of craftsmanship to. Only draw back with Forte is that it’s probably best to call them at least a few months in advance; draw backs to being this good is a bit of a waitlist

I sought three quotes for the job of converting my bottom floor den into a bedroom by installing a wall with a door, a closet, and a new fan drop. When Bayram, the project manager (I think I have that right) from Forte, did the initial inspection, he gave me the quote and informed me that it included the electrical and structural permitting with the county. Bayram warned me that other contractors would not do the same. Assuming the best of the other quotes/vendors, I called to verify that their quotes included permitting. The competition did not, and told me that’d cost an additional $2,500 for that.

This initially was what lead to me choosing Forte. During the project, I wasn’t very specific about how I wanted the wiring done for the ceiling fan, and as a consequence, the team on site centralized it to the same switch as the lights. Though I wished they had thought of this, ultimately it was my mistake and they re-wired it the very next day with a reasonable adjustment fee.

Door framing and all finishing executed professionally. If I need work in the future, I am calling Forte.

We hired Forte Construction to finish our basement. We added an in-law suite with bedroom, office, bathroom, full kitchen and living room and we could not be happier with the result. Everyone that worked on our project was professional and polite and always helpful. Bayram responded immediately to any questions or concerns that we had. The project was even completed three weeks earlier than estimated. We will definitely be calling Forte Construction for our remodeling projects in the future.

I hired Forte Construction to complete a basement finish for our house. Added 2 bedrooms, bathroom, office, pantry and living room area. Byram was very responsive and helpful when dealing with any issues that arose with scheduling or ordering installation items. Team members Nelson, Miguel and their team were extremely hard workers, on several occasions his workers worked 15-hour days to stay on time with inspection dates. Finishing crews for drywall and final inspections were extremely hard workers and very skilled. You can tell they all took pride in their work and were extremly professional and mindful of being quiet if it was late and or cleaning up after their work.

Our inspections went well, in fact, the inspector for the county stated that it was so up to code and professional standards he wanted their information so he could utilize them and that it was rare in this area to not run into inspection issues during framing, electrical or plumbing. They also worked easily with selecting materials and put up with us changing things a few times last minute.

Pricing was almost 10k cheaper than 3 other quotes we received, and they were prompt to give a free estimate when contacted.

I really cannot say anything negative other than it took a little longer to complete than originally expected but we made additions to our basement bathroom that caused concrete work and had some ordering issues that were out of their control from Home Depot with items sent not having all their parts.

We love our new basement and am grateful that we utilized them over some of the local competitors. Would highly recommend to anyone and plan to utilize them for upstairs upgrades and a deck addition in the near future.

There are a few aspects and details of working with Forte that made our experience a good one.
There was a dedicated dumpster delivered to our address so that our yard and basement was kept clean during the project.
A porta-potty was also delivered ensuring that the workers were taken care of and did not need access to our bathrooms upstairs.
A lock was installed on the first day of work so contractors had access to conduct the work and a secondary lock was installed at the top of the stairs locking access to the upstairs where no work was being done.
Forte provided help and input with the design and produced 3d renderings to help visualize tough design decisions.
Throughout the process there was effective communication with timely responses and knowledgeable answers.
All of those aspects of working with Forte are important and added to a good experience. However, even more important to a homeowner who doesn't often work in renovations is that the project was managed by Bayram and Ever so that we simply had to ask/request and the project managers handled the execution, accommodation, change our repair. The most vital aspect of any renovation is that workers actually show up to do work. Forte did an impressive job with this as almost every work day there was someone or a crew working. Finally we were quoted that the project would take 10-12 weeks and it was completed in 10 weeks. This was the second project we hired Forte to work and both jobs were completed successfully and on time.

My experience with Forte was amazing! I couldn’t even believe the transformation of my basement and kitchen. Byram was a pleasure to work with on this project and the foreman, Nelson was absolutely the best. He and the construction team worked very efficiently and got it done right on time and were even ahead of schedule at times. I would definitely use them again for future projects! Outstanding, professional service from Forte Construction! Making an appointment for an estimate was easy and Bayram showed up on time. He took his time understanding my needs and went through the house room by room so I could explain. It took about a week for the full estimate to come through and I was able to choose what I wanted to be done. When all the materials that were ordered came in, we set a date and Bayram's team got to work. They showed up on time every day and worked until the job was done for the day. What was originally supposed to take 3-5 days ended up taking 7 days but you won't hear a complaint from me because that is one of the very best things about this company: COMMUNICATION. When we ran into an issue, I was told immediately how it would be remedied and that it would add a day or two to the anticipated completion time. From start to finish, I was always able to talk to Sondra or Bayram on the phone, and any emails I sent were answered within 24 hours. These are also the nicest, most patient people I've met in this industry!

If you're looking for a contracting company, look no farther. This company is excellent when it comes to maintaining open lines of communication, will answer any question you have and makes sure the job is done to your satisfaction before they leave each day. A final walkthrough is completed and the work is guaranteed. I loved working with this company so much that I'm already having them come back to give me another estimate on my kitchen. I cannot say enough good things about them and will definitely be using them for all my future home repair/upgrade needs.

Used FORTE for a full master bath remodel down to the studs. They started within a week of our scheduled time. The team showed up every day at the same time until the work was completed. I had six change orders that were executed flawlessly. Quality was top notch, I had something like six punch list items that got knocked out in no time. The renderings were fantastic and really helped us make decisions and note requirements where we had not noted them before. Given that I had six change orders, project was done when they said it would be done. I am planning to use them again.

Forte Construction and Design does very professional, beautiful work! We got estimates from four contractors to renovate two full baths and a half bath. Forte Construction & Design provided the most detailed, thorough estimate by far. Bayram assigned an excellent team to the project and said the renovation would be completed in three weeks. The team was punctual, polite, always professional, and they worked very hard throughout the project's duration. It took some time to get the project started because of shipping delays in the supply chain. Once the work started the Forte team completed the project in three weeks and one day, which I found remarkable. There were a few glitches during the renovation, but Bayram responded immediately and sent the team to correct the problem. We are impressed with the quality of the work, the attention to detail, and the professionalism of the team. It is obvious that the team who worked on our renovation (Ever, Mynor1, and Mynor2) love the work they do and are happy working for Forte Construction & Design! Deciding which company to choose regarding our bathroom renovation was not an easy task, however after seeing the work done at a friends home, we decided to go with Forte. The pricing was fair- in our budget and comparable to other companies we spoke with. In addition to our bathroom, we also had the carpet on the second level and stairs replaced with engineered hardwood flooring.

Pros-

The crew was on time and worked diligently through out the day. We felt comfortable leaving them alone in our home. Any questions that came up during the project, were always asked and taken care of immediately. Our project manager, Mark, was friendly and thorough in explaining things to the crew and visited near daily. Our final project was exactly as pictured in the renderings- which was amazing. It was a very cool experience seeing it come from my head, to the rendering and finally walking into the completed bathroom. Tamis, the admin, was a pleasure to work with. The original bathroom had water leaks which resulted in horrible damage to the sub floor and ceiling in the room below. The crew made sure to take up all the damaged floor and replace and waterproof it to avoid it from happening again. The ceiling below the bathroom was replaced and the entire ceiling of the affected room was repainted. The gentleman who redid the stairs spent several days working on getting the stain on the rails to perfectly match our new floors- and it’s a perfect match.

Cons-

Actually getting our project started took longer than estimated. Emails went days without being answered and I had to verify payments and selections had been received/reviewed. We had to go through about 4 different vanity selections due to delays in either Forte making the orders or supply issues, resulting in selecting different plumbing fixtures nearly
every time the vanity choice was out of stock. The shower surround had to be resealed various times- and still has some leaking areas. The vanities were caulked with shiny caulk and pulled away from the vanity top- this was corrected days after the project was completed, but has since occurred again, the project was just finished in August of 2021. The door had to be rehung and change opening directions due to the new shower, however it is now ( only 5 months after the project) sagging and scratching the new tile. The crew cleaned up after themselves throughout and after the project was done, however there was lots of debris left underneath the vanity.

Overall-

We enjoyed working with Forte’s crew and love our new bathroom.

Outstanding Job by Forte Construction !! We did a complete bathroom remodel and Bayram and the entire Forte team were top-notch throughout the entire process. I bought a home and wanted my floors refinished and whole house painted. So I contacted Forte. First I was told they would bring a Sherwin Williams color wheel to the house for me to choose a color. That never happened. I thankfully knew exactly what color I wanted to go with. To my surprise it was Behr paint from Home Depot after all, not Sherwin Williams. As for the floors they sanded my floors and gave me 3 options to choose from. The square footage done in my home was about 2,200sqft. The estimated completion time for my project was going to be two weeks. The company took about 1 month to complete my floors and paint all my walls. Additionally, I had issues with both my floors and my walls not been done professionally. Only two people were working until they realized they were taking too long. The floors currently look rough (my socks get stuck in them) and my walls Are still textured and with holes they did not patched. Everyday they said they were finished I was told to go with blue painters tape and check any deficiencies. As the experts I didn’t think I would need to check their work, but to my surprise there were many issues (paint drips, trims painted with wall color, walls not primed properly and texture showing through, corners not painted all the way and uneven coats of paint). I would put tape and the issue wouldn’t be fixed. I got tired of having my home in complete chaos, paying a hotel because of the smell of flooring, living in my basement with a 4 month old and out of boxes, so I moved my furniture back but completely unimpressed with their job. I paid nearly 13k to refinish my floors and paint my walls, the least they could have done was do it professionally. Never received a “inconvenience” discount for the delay in the project, an apology or a guy to clean up after the project. The only person that did a great job was the Master Painter, Mark, that white washed my brick. Thank you for the excellent job. Other than that, I will not be contacting Forte again for any future projects.

2 year review on a kitchen and livingroom remodel.
Just about everything I had these guys do is a mess right now. Tiles throughout the living room and kitchen are cracking and loose. 9 cracked and many more loose. Grout on the backsplash is falling out. The one window they installed is leaking like crazy and the sill is water damaged. Miter joints in crown mounding split apart. Caulk seams opened up. Its a mess. And I had to confront them about stuff missing out of my fridge. I dont know why my work was so poorly done if they have 5 stars here. Something doesn't add up.

We cannot recommend Forte construction enough. They were extremely professional, thorough, efficient, prepared, hardworking, honest and knowledgeable. From the initial walkthrough for the estimate to the final inspection, each member of the company was professional and worked hard to get the job done properly and on time. We were given an estimate and nothing changed. They completed our bathroom remodel in 2 weeks which is exactly the timeline they estimated. We were very impressed with Forte Construction and will use them again if/when we have another project.

Forte Construction came to rescue us when we didn't know what to do to deal with leak in our 1940s DC house master bathroom.

My sister and I hired Forte Construction and Design to renovate our parents’ master bathroom and add some handicap accessible features in order to make it safe for them to navigate as they age. We chose Forte Construction and Design because they had very good reviews and they gave us a reasonable quote. Bayram and his crew were wonderful to work with! They had very prompt communication, answered every question that we had, and worked closely with us to make decisions about the design and features for the bathroom. The crew was extremely professional and the workmanship was excellent! Once the project started, the crew showed up every day and worked consistently until the job was done. When one of our design features arrived broken, Bayram took care of the problem immediately and had a new piece delivered quickly. The final product is just gorgeous and my parents are very happy! Our final cost came in exactly as they quoted us at the beginning of the project, there were no “hidden costs”. Review Edit: Second large project with Forte and again, the outcome exceeded my expectations. Forte completed a primary bathroom remodel with beautiful craftsmanship at a reasonable cost. I am writing this review over a year later and am still amazed with the outcome. There was a small toilet leak several months after the project was completed (having nothing to do with the quality of work) and Forte honored their 12 month warranty and repaired the problem. Correspondence is always professional and timely. I will always consider Forte as a top option in this area for large projects: thank you!

Our experience with Forte Construction was really great. We needed to replace carpet with hardwood flooring and match it to existing hardwood floors. Previous estimates came out and told us they could install prefab flooring, but it would not be a 100% match, which wasn’t acceptable. Bayram proposed we refinish all the flooring and restain to our desired color and the results were beyond my expectations. Absolutely stunning. They also replaced our stair balusters, which was icing on the cake. The cost was competitive with others, the crew showed up on time each day and were very professional and friendly. The aftermath: we found a small cosmetic problem in one of the stair risers that needed corrected. Forte stands by their work and sent someone out promptly to repair the problem. All future projects will now be going through Forte: their integrity and quality of work is greatly appreciated.

My sister and brother in law had recently upgraded their bathroom by FC&D and the work turned out beautiful. I had a standup shower installed with pebble floors, tile walls with beautiful glass accents. The quality of work that FC&D produced is undoubtedly a masterpiece! Beyond thrilled with my complete kitchen remodel (tore out walls and re-designed much of the 1st level of my house). I'm a Realtor - so I have my hands involved in a LOT of repairs and/or remodels done by contractors, and I have to say that the Forte Team is amazing to work with. They under-promise and over-deliver! On time, work all day, clean up daily, and the workmanship is on point! We had a few design hiccups (due to a 3rd party) and they were able to quickly adapt/adjust - suggest solutions, and kept us right on schedule. I will definitely recommend them to my friends, neighbors, clients, and I will use them again for remodeling my bathrooms when the time comes! May have to wait just a bit to get on the work schedule for large jobs, but well worth the wait - you don't want a contractor that isn't busy- there's usually a reason!

Forte Construction & Design started with remodeling my small bathroom, installing a new vanity, toilet, lighting fixtures, and porcelain tiles, etc., and they did such a great job I had them do my master bathroom remodel, whole house hardwood flooring, laundry room flooring and various other jobs. The Foreman and his crew started work promptly every day and were professional and courteous. Their work ethic was refreshing- no smoking breaks, no chit chatting, no checking their cell phones, just working! They cleaned up their work area at the end of each day and did top notch work. I was apprehensive to hire a contractor for these jobs because anyone can make you promises about what they're going to do and then when it comes time to do the job those promises are far from what transpires, but I was not disappointed with Forte Construction.... they actually did what they said they were going to do. The Project Manager was always available and responsive to my questions or concerns and frequently showed up to the job site to ensure that all work performed was to my satisfaction and listened to all concerns that I had and addressed/corrected them. Their pricing was reasonable and I feel I got my money's worth for the quality of work and attention to detail they provided. I have more projects in the future and will assuredly use them again!!!

I always like to do as much DIY as I can in my home but when it came to extending my hardwood floors into my master bedroom, I knew I needed a professional. It was like their advertisement came to me in the perfect moment and so I contacted them right away. They were able to give me a reasonable quote for my request in minutes and able to book a time for installation within less than a week. The team came to our home, they were polite, respectful, and got right down to business. We had done all the ripping out and demolition of old baseboards already, but a team of 3 men were able to install beautiful hardwood floors, baseboards and shoe mouldings in a 13’ x 17’ room in a little over three hours. The floors are beautiful!! There is literally a seamless transition from the existing flooring in to the bedroom’s new flooring. Most importantly, it’s the little things in life that really sell me, when the team left, they had cleaned and tidied up their area (especially where they were sawing floor boards) and left the place better than they found it. We will be contacting them for more home renovations in the future.
