Epoch Plumbing

The plumbing work, begun after our bathroom pipes exploded at Christmas, has officially ended today with the final inspection.

Jacob, RJ, and Jeremiah replaced 98% of the pipes in the house. They rebuilt the drainage, water, and ventilation systems from the basement up through the roof. They moved the laundry from the basement to the second floor. They installed multiple levels of safety valves. They installed the new dishwasher, kitchen faucet, bathroom faucet, tub faucet/shower, water-line to the ice maker in the freezer. They replaced and upgraded the propane line into the house to the stove, which had started leaking after the water pipes exploded.

They were careful and safety-conscious and they explained absolutely everything they were doing as they went along.

I am so, so happy. I trust them implicitly and they will always be the first people I call to get anything plumbing-related either repaired or upgraded.

Jeremiah Dawes is excellent in service, professional manner, and timeliness. He arrived on time, identified the problem, procured the needed parts, and installed the items with no issues. It is incredibly rare to come across folks like the ones at Epoch Plumbing. After a failed attempt to fix my own water heater, I gave their number a call at 11:15pm, and RJ and Jacob were here at my house the next morning at 8:00am. From the time they arrived until the job was complete, they were the absolute pinnacles of professionalism, experience, and helpful communication. Both of these guys came in with the attitude that they were going to do everything in their power to get my family's hot water back on, no matter how long it took.

They were kind, knowledgeable, clean, and meticulous with their work. It was an absolute pleasure to work with them, and I now have a trusted plumber for life.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Epoch Plumbing. We call them when our water heater was no longer producing hot water. It was the Friday before Memorial Day weekend and we figured we were up a creek until the following week. However, we called Epoch and they sent RJ over within a 1/2 hour to help us out. We cannot say enough about how grateful we are for Jacob and Epoch Plumbing. From start to finish, Jacob was professional, knowledgeable, and treated our project with exceptional care and attention to detail. He completed a full system flush, drained and adjusted our hot water heater, installed a thermal expansion tank with a new shut-off valve, replaced old corroded piping, adjusted PSI, installed a new PRV valve, upsized piping to 1 inch, and added a drain port for easy maintenance. Choosing the proper company for a potentially financially consuming project is a scary task, especially when you're a new homeowner. Epoch in my opinion was the best decision for me! Jake is a professional who is not only very good at his job, he expresses the utmost respect for the homeowner as well as the home and I was provided with price options that could match my budget. I can express how much I appreciate Epoch for coming out so fast when my sewer pipe was backing up into my house! I called Epoch last week with a leaky dishwasher and shut-off valves under my sink that were not working and were causing a constant leak into my basement that was getting wetter by the minute. Tyler was at my house within about a hour and really listened to everything I had to say about what had been happening the past few days and diagnosed the issue and fixed the problem. Basement is dry again, and a new dishwasher is on the way. I really appreciated his timeliness and courtesy and getting everything fixed so we could turn our water on again. I highly recommend Epoch!

Called this morning at 7:45 spoke to Lindsey and she was absolutely wonderful. My mom had an issue with the toilet leaking through the ceiling. Jeremiah called at 8:50. Said he would be there in a 1/2 hour. Came over diagnosed the issue and it was fixed. Very professional. Had another gentleman with him as well. So pleasant. Will be using this company again. We needed an outdoor spigot replaced, and a new supply line as the old one broke when we took the old spigot off. Tyler was excellent, providing thorough information and options, and completed the work in good time and to great standards. They were also quick to respond to an inquiry and to schedule an appointment for a time that worked well for us!

Jacob was kind, courteous and very informative about the entire process. Any questions you have, he will break it down for you in a way that’s easy to grasp. He works efficiently and neatly, and will make sure you’re taken care of! Amazing service, absolutely recommend.

Jacob came over and was incredibly courteous and very detail while giving us our diagnostics. They were running a diagnostics special for $79 where you tell them you particular concern, they come and look at all your concerns (we had three BTW), they tell you your potential problems and your potential solutions. If you decide to continue with their services, then the $79 is priced into the repair. I would say it was a good deal since we were able to figure out what we could have done ourselves, and what we could service out. The best part about epoch is their availability. They pride themselves in being available within 1-2 days, and for urgent problems, even same day. If you're planning something, highly advise for you to plan on their immediate availability.

I will be calling on them again for sure.

Jacob was very thorough , very noligable, very very nice. Spent his time fixing our concerns. Will definitely be using them again in future and would recommend them.

I called after regular business hours to have a hot water issue diagnosed, and potentially repaired. They where able to set up an appointment for the next morning, they arrived in a timely fashion, where able to quickly determine the issue. They provided several price options to me for what they could do, as well as fixing a problem they had spied unrelated to the hot water. Ultimately they replaced an expansion tank, temperature relief valve, and pressure regulator, as well replacing a previous plumbers shoddy job, adding a shut off valve and a drain valve. All this took 2 plumbers just under 4 hours to complete. The technicians RJ and Jerimiah were friendly, polite and walked me thru there diagnosis. Everything is in working order now, the total cost for all the work was $1600.

I got call back from Jacob the owner of the company after a bad experience, offer a full refund. And ready to give them another chance.

We hired Epoch because it appeared that our water heater was leaking.

They ended up replacing the water heater. We discovered about a week later that the problem was still happening despite having a new water heater installed. We let them know and they came back the next morning and figured out that the problem was actually the expansion tank.

They installed a new expansion tank free of charge which was a huge relief having just paid a ton for a new water heater. They’re pricey but provide great customer service

Tyler was super friendly and hard working. Responded quickly to our call and had the problem diagnosed and replaced the same day. He was even able to point us in the right direction for other repairs that were needed as well. Very much recommend Tyler and Epoch plumping.

Get a second opinion this place will try to rip you off. Tried to charge me $1,650 to fix a tiny gas leak on my gas meter. It was one fitting just needed to be Teflon taped and re screwed. I said no to $1650 and owner instantly offered $999 I called a different plumber and he laughed and said that’s a $500 job MAX, and he ended up only charging me $325. Definitely call someone else instead. The owner also offered to do the job for $500 after I told him I found someone else. Just goes to show how much of a rip off this guy is. Shameful way to run a business.

Scheduled a stove installation on Thanksgiving eve between 2-4. They called to come earlier but I didn't have the stove till noon. Called later to confirm and they said around 6:00. They arrived after 6:00 and said it would be $1500 but would give me a discount to $1350 (I've never used them before and already a discount?), or $99 for the diagnostic (what diagnostic?). I declined and paid the $99 diagnostic. My gas company installed the stove for $120.

Tyler & Tyler are true professionals and did a great job with the roughing and finishing work in my bathroom renovation. They were prompt, friendly, professional and answer all my questions. They would also provide status updates and show me their progress as they completed milestones in the work. I would absolutely recommend their services for others (and would be calling them again when I have additional plumbing work in my home)! You don’t often see honest and caring professionals that have tremendous pride in their work.

We found we had a leaking water heater later at night so we called Epoch and they came out early the next morning to diagnose. They swapped out the water heater the next day and we were good as new. Tyler G was the technician for us and he was very knowledgeable and does good work. He made sure I understood all of my options and showed me everything once he was done. Would recommend!

Was quoted $900 to replace the flapper in my toilet tank. It's a simple job that a plumber can do in under a hour. Went online to Angi got a plumber to do the job for $240. It seems like this company rips old people and people who don't know any better. So before you use them go online and try Angi your pockets will thank you.

Jacob came by today to check on a gas leak and found the issue within minutes. Called me and described the issue with pictures. Fixed and was in and out quickly. Awesome job! Company should be proud to have Jacob as an employee.

I have had the pleasure of having Epoch handle my plumbing issues on 2 occasions. The first time Jacob and Tam handled the issue and were so professional and skilled. They showed me pictures and options so I knew exactly what would need to be done and how much it would cost...no surprises. The second time, Jacob came to assess the situation, however it was late in the day but he still got the job done. I can't tell you how grateful I am for their service. Jacob is fantastic. Very personable and my husband and I appreciated how he explained everything to us in detail about our pipes. We have an older home so the pipes will need to be replaced eventually which we were aware of. Presented us with a few different options to work within our budget. I was referred to Epoch by a good friend. The main trunk had clogged in a three family building in Fitchburg. Jacob came out to diagnose the issue that same morning. He arrived within an hour diagnosed the issue and gave me multiple options and strategies. He was able to fix my issue the same day and get the plumbing back on line for all three apartments. Overall they were a pleasure to deal with.

Epoch Plumbing was responsive, punctual and upon arriving provided 3 fair and detailed quotes for different levels of service for my building’s main drain line. I would absolutely use Epoch Plumbing again. I called late last week and was surprised that they had an opening for the following Tues for a garbage disposal & dishwasher, removal and installation. I didn't catch the lady's name that booked my service but she was very polite. Jacob (plumber) called about 1/2 hr before the service (just like she had said he would do) to notify me that he was on the way. He showed up with his assistant Tam. They were both very professional and cleaned up after everything was said and done. I was extremely pleased with their service and how personable they both were.

Jacob was amazing! From the moment he called to tell me he was on his way to the moment he left. Such a positive presence! So I was having some shower leaking issues and was unfamiliar with what needed to get done to fix it and how much money I was going to have to spend. I also did not know how to shut the water off to my house (oops) Jacob was so pleasant and non judgmental with answering all of my questions and guiding me through this process. Jacob took a look at what was happening and reassured me the problem would be resolved that day no problem, which was very comforting to me. He gave me options with pricing upfront. I'm an elderly widow, and I have to say selecting a tradesmen is nerve-wracking. Even after reading reviews, there is still the worry about shoddy work, being overcharged or having more work done than necessary to fix the problem.

I couldn't be more pleased with the work done by Jacob and his assistant from EPOCH Plumbing. Quality work at a fair price. Professional and courteous. Jacob took time to explain things to me and outlined a plan to determine the cause of the sewer gas problem. He was able to show me detailed pictures of the plumbing problems on his tablet and that was particularly helpful as I have mobility issues and can't easily navigate the basement stairs. I especially appreciated how quickly he responded to my call and how promptly he was able to schedule repairs. In this day and age, that type of courteous service certainly was a pleasant surprise.

Outstanding Service!!!

Our tankless hot-water unit went a few days ago, and we called Epoch Plumbing to help us and we couldn't be more impressed with the service they provided to get us up and running again.

They came over quickly after we called and assessing the issue, they helped us by calling the manufacturer and helped convince that despite that the previous owners of the house didn't register the wall unit for the warranty that it was no fault of us and got the company to cover the unit under the warranty which saved us thousands of dollars.

Epoch quickly was able to get a new wall unit within a day and despite having to do some additional work with the piping as the newer unit had some different aspects than out older unit, stayed late on a Friday night to get us up and running by the weekend.

We couldn’t be happier with the service we received and we will 100% go with Epoch Plumbing for any plumbing related issues going forward and highly recommend that you do also.

Jacob did a great job fixing the leak and also redesigning and installing all new plumbing in the basement that was hacked together over the years. We hired Epoch to handle the interior connection to Town water from well water and install a new, larger water heater. Jacob was responsive to meetings with town officials and provided detailed information about the installation process as well as ways to optimize the use of the water heater.
