I dealt with a great Procurement associate. Riley Clark was able to get me a Tesla PW2 which is hard to get right now. My client was very happy to hear! Riley made the process very easy from purchasing to delivery. Riley was also able to introduce me with other distributors which is very helpful when you cant find material locally. Overall a great experience and I will be using Ecotech Solar in the future!!

Installed a 6.6kw system in 2020, everything went smoothly. Since then I purchased an EV and had ecotech add 3kw system to the existing to account for at home charging. Everything went smoothly once again. They got me scheduled asap and it was a 1 day install. Ecotech is the best, so friendly and easy to work with.

I was in the process of putting a new roof on my house and needed to have my existing solar system removed and reinstalled. The original installer (8 years ago) is no longer in business and the company that bought them out has a terrible reputation. I contacted all the local Bellingham solar installers and EcoTech was the only one that was interested in doing the job. I was also interested in making a moderate expansion of my system.

The bottom line: the reinstall and expansion was done in a good professional manner, and the cost was well within reason. Their design, scheduling, communication and documentation was outstanding. I would highly recommend them.

Terrible experience. The system was installed but took months to connect to PSE. Then the system significantly under performed the estimated capacity. The sales manager is blaming trees which were there when the site survey was done and they never discussed removing. Now he suggested cutting down old growth trees - not the most environmentally sensitive plan. We offered to pay more to install more panels but have been waiting for a plan. We started our query about under performance in July and it’ll shortly be October with no plan and slow responses. If I could give zero stars right now I would.

UPDATE

Ty got back to us with a proposal for us to spend $10k just to get to the original capacity they had designed the system to produce. They offered us a ~20% discount to remediate the shortfall that they delivered. Still working this out with EcoTech - hoping for a better resolution.

I can't say enough about the excellent service provided by Ecotech Solar. They were very responsive and extremely helpful in setting up the system as well as the App used to monitor the system. I would recommend them highly!

Can I give ecotech solar 10 stars? Entering the solar world was a new experience, and the ecotech staff made it an effortless, economical and enjoyable experience. From evaluating whether my small home was a good candidate for solar and explaining the process to designing the arrays to fit in with existing skylights, ecotech made it easy. Costs were explained and office staff kept the paperwork organized. Installation was fast and efficient with a focus on customer communication. The ecotech electrician explained how it all worked so I was comfortable. Staff handled all the commission details with PSE. After all the work was done, ecotech checked back with me to walk through post-installation details (like how to keep roof moss from impacting the solar panels and exploring the online portal and mobile app). Feeling good about generating clean energy, love how it looks, and happy to be part of the ecotech family.

As part of a major rebuild (foundation up) of our home, I wanted to ensure the building standards and solar siting were sufficient to have an annual-basis net-zero home. I began working with Ecotech in the architectural definition phase of the rebuild, and they were great in assisting with plans that ensured the new home would meet expectations. The initial solar installation got us close, but the added energy load from charging an electric car resulted in a small expansion required of the original installation. Ecotech was great to work with throughout this two+ year endeavor, and was an essential and enthusiastic partner in achieving net-zero living. Ecotech did a great job with my solar panel project. They handled all the design, planning, permits, coordination with Puget Sound Energy, etc. Their installers were professional and courteous, and always took appropriate safety measures. They also did a great job of cleaning up after themselves, and left my house and yard immaculate. All-in-all it was an utterly painless experience, and now I barely have any electric bill to pay, despite having two electric cars to charge!

From the first contact with Andy to inquire about installation cost and timeline through the installation process to the final walkthrough with Yonk, the crew was professional, knowledgable, clean, capable, and efficient. ecotech solar is the BEST! My wife and I are doing last minute packing for a road trip in our converted camper van, when I used the wrong crimping tool on my solar cables. After an endless number of phone calls to places that carry MC4 connectors, Pratt Electric told me to go visit ecotech solar, and they might be able to help me out. WELL, HELP ME OUT THEY DID! They said I could stop in the next morning.

I stopped in at 10 am, talked to Riley and Lauren, and they said pull your van around back and we can get those cables fixed in no time. Lauren installed new MC4 connectors all the way around on my three cables, and now my wife and I can go EXPLORING! Thanks EcoTech Solar! You're the best. Not only did the EcoTech team do a very professional job with the installation of our 30 panels and ticked all the boxes and accommodated our timetable, they also have provided excellent post installation counsel and were and are very patient with this very untechnical customer. Ecotech Solar installed a Tesla Powerwall unit and did a fine job. Installation was 1.5 days and PSE inspection took place later that week. I was kept well informed throughout the entire process and it was a World Class Experience!

I can not say enough good things about this company.. The install was seamless and quick and we were up and running so quickly. They took the time to explain everything and answer all my questions at the time and via email as they come up so quickly. Everything has been running perfectly. Installed in May and after PSE got everything done on their end we haven't had a power bill since July (8 months now). Their pricing seemed very economical to us after we spoke with another company first. Overall they were tremendous!! highly suggest them!

I highly recommend Echotech solar. They installed solar panels on our home metal roof. From the inquiry stage, through the design and build out of our system, they did a fantastic job. We had gotten quotes and misleading info from other companies as to what we would need. Echotech was honest and educational in terms of our system needs, and as a result our system wound up costing $20K less than we were quoted by others. Echotech's team of installers is first rate. They completed the job in very cold and unfavorable weather conditions in 4 days and were safe, and pleasant. Their craftsmanship (installing conduits and inverters in a clean and precise way) is excellent. Our panels are up and running and its so thrilling to see the energy being generated. Echotech has been there to answer any questions and I always get a speedy response and a willingness to help.

Ecotech patiently answered all of our questions and design a system to meet our needs. The panels arrived and installed on time by a professional crew. John was super helpful in answering our questions and troubleshooting an early issue. We have had great solar electrical production and would recommend Ecotech Solar to anyone who is considering solar.

It was one of the best decisions I’ve made to have EcoTech install a solar system in my home. Right from the first visit, everyone I encountered through the whole process was very friendly and professional. Their evaluation was so accurate that every month for the past 5 years since installation, my electric bill has only been for the basic service fee of $7.49!! We worked with Ecotech to design and install a 100kw PV system on the roof of our new commercial facility in Ferndale. They were one of the best subcontractors on the jobsite and worked carefully with the other subs to ensure everything went smoothly. They hit every schedule goal and provided progress updates and milestones along the way.

We had Ecotech install our solar and it couldn't have gone smoother. They worked closely with us on to determine our needs, current and future, in order to design the right sized solar system. On my daily walks I noticed more and more solar panels and decided to look into it. I walk by a memory care center and their maintenance man was out side talking to another person who said he has the largest commercial solar panels in town. The memory care person said that one month one summer his electric bill was $11.00! Both used Ecotech, so I decided that I did not need to research other companies and contacted them for a quote.
They got right on it and asked for my electric bill to get my use to design the best system for me. Their rep came out on time and gave a very professional presentation with lots of information and even a satellite photo of what the panels would look like on my house. He was very professional and knowledgeable. We decided on a system, paid our deposit and got in line for the install.
The time came for the installers to come to the house and I requested they give a call so I could be there, they did. Came by that afternoon and did a few things. Came the next day and started the install, Finished up the next morning, all very professional.
Ecotech arranges for everything, permits, inspections, coordinate with electric company, etc, truly turn key. A few weeks after the system was up and running another rep came out with the final paper work, manual, example of what my electric bill would look like with the "net" meter and answer any and all questions.
They are a very professional company, communicate very well, I ask a lot of questions and always got right back to me. The agreed upon price is what you pay, no extras, no surprises.

Working with Ecotech has been hands-down one of the best experiences I've had working with a business. We had a 35 panel, 13.125kW system installed on our home. We spent months working with five solar installers designing, bidding and comparing systems. Without question Ecotech had the highest value equipment and a designer/engineer who reall took his time answering our million questions and educating us during the process. The install team was similarly friendly, professional and effecient. Took them less than two days to install 35 panels in a manner that is unobtrusive, clean and at least to my eye, flawless (including the routing through our attic space).

The installation team at Ecotech installed 18 LG solar panels on our roof in under two days. The office support staff were very helpful at every stage of the process, including navigating around how to get a solar loan. The completed work looks great, and now that we're heading into the hot summer months, our system is more than covering our electrical needs.

The fact that it is clean energy is important to us. And if our energy needs increase (for example, when we get all-electric vehicles), Ecotech can easily add panels to our LG system.

We discovered during power outages last winter that we can't use the electricity being generated when the grid is down. I'd be interested to know how other customers deal with that issue.

“Ecotech put solar panels on our residence six years ago. Dana and crew provided fantastic service throughout the entire process. At one point during this timeframe, our inverter was recalled and Ecotech replaced it, again wth seamless service. Six years later we are still cooking with solar! Our monthly bill is $7.90.

This summer, someone stole the solar panels from my non-profit farm that supply energy to our aquaponics system. We were very concerned about our fish losing oxygen and as a non-profit, don't have the funds to rush out and buy emergency replacement panels.

Ecotech installed LG solar panels on our metal roof. Their team was fantastic. Everyone was very knowledgable, professional, friendly and easy to work with. They did a great job coordinating with our roofing company to come and add the parts needed for the panels before the metal roof was put on and then came back shortly after to finish installing the panels. I would highly recommend Ecotech to anyone looking into solar.

EchoTech is hands down the best contractor I have worked with in 30+ years. Everything from the sales, office management, design, installation, monitoring and warranty followup. I had a single panel in 76 that failed within a few weeks, EchoTech was out the day after I notified them and had the replacement competed.

I had a list of 12 requirements when selecting my solar installer. While most had their pros and cons, EchoTech was all pros, no cons. After the contract was signed, the support did not stop. After the payments were made, the support has not stopped. They are passionate about their company and the products they sell and they are easily the most professional crew I've worked with. All of the crew members that came to the site showed the same level of professionalism. Very low pressure as well, every person took time to answer all of the questions I had through the entire engagement.

I have a large system with 76 LG Solar Panels generating up to 24.7 Kw paired with 4 Tesla Powerwalls. I worked with EchoTech to future proof my requirements expecting 2 electric cars in the next 5 years. The system performance has been incredible. Much higher performance tha I expected. I am in a wooded area and was amazed that I generate 3x my power consumption even when the sun is behind the trees.

Although the picture with the panels is a bit washed out, I purposely included a picture of the panels with the Star(sun) of the show and the amazing work the Co-Star(EchoTech) performed.

Final comment. The inspector was in awe of EchoTech's beautiful installation. He mentioned more that a dozen times that is was the best he has ever seen. I agree.

Ecotech installed solar panels and 2 Tesla Powerwalls. They did a great job planning the installation and were very accommodating to our schedule. The pandemic lock-down occurred in the middle of our installation and they were forced to take a break from work. Despite this they got the work done promptly and demonstrated careful precautions around the worksite.

The solar system immediately started producing and has been supply well in excess of 60% of our electricity most days. The very first partial month of operation reduced our electric bill by over half. We got a real world test of the backup capabilities of the system shortly after installation when the power went out for about 2 1/2 hours. We barely noticed the switch-over, only knowing that the power was out when we noticed that lights not on the backed up circuits were off.

I primarily worked with Andy in person and Libby on the phone. The communication was personable, honest and accurate. The work was done on time, as expected and as predicted. I have always been a solar junkie, having installed a number of off grid installations over the years. I had an analysis done a number of years ago by a couple of local contractors to do an install on my property. At that time the combination of cost and yield did not add up to a cost effective installation. Ecotech followed up after a call from me to come give me a new analysis based on current costs, and most importantly, improvements of optimizer technology. With new technology, and the dropped cost they gave me a price for a 6.2kw install that should provide ~95% of our annual use. From Andy in sales and design to Riley in configuration and follow up they have been very easy to work with. All the folks in the field are very knowledgeable, friendly and easy to work with. They did an install in August, and it has been running flawlessly since. I did have a problem with the communication system built into the inverter, and they spent a lot of time chasing down the problem with the manufacturer. I have since recommended several other people to give ecotech a call, and they too have had systems installed with similar satisfaction. I would strongly suggest giving them a call, as the price of installed solar continues to fall, and is not only surprisingly affordable in the PNW, it is remarkably productive, counter intuitively. As a side note, my first off grid solar system cost ~$100/watt simply for the raw panel. Ecotech current installed price, soup to nuts is around $2/watt!

We had our solar system installed in 2014 and haven't paid an electric bill since. Ecotech notified us that the inverter had a recall and would have to be replaced. The Ecotech staff first met with us to determine the best, most cost effective system to install. Once we signed up, they coordinated with us, the City inspector, the utility company, and the WA State incentive program staff to assure that our system worked perfectly and received all necessary approvals. Work of the installation crew was precise and no return visits have been necessary.

Excellent companies like Ecotech are rare these days. They knocked my residential solar project out of the park in terms of communication with client, hitting deadlines, workmanship, and solar engineering. One super cool aspect about hiring Ecotech was the way they demystified the various solar incentives (federal, state, electric co) and clearly broke down via spreadsheet analysis how the finances will play out. This was done as part of their free project proposal and estimate. They made every effort to accommodate my requests and were great folks to have around during the installation. Well after the project was completed and paid for they contacted me about some additional limbing advice just to ensure the system was operating at it's maximum potential. I've referred multiple friends and family to Ecotech and recommend them 100% for solar work.

They take the hassle out of the whole process. My interest in solar in the past, usually at home shows, was always met with "the sales pitch". I became quite skeptical. Well, Ecotech Solar was straight forward.

I had asked our builder about solar, because he had it on a house he was just finishing up. He said that it was Ecotech Solar - and that they were really easy to deal with. No hassle for him.

I got quotes from Ty at Ecotech Solar - and their local competitor. Both were similarly priced for the same system. Ty also gave me estimates of my annual costs and production. Being a bit skeptical, I asked him to provide me with a more conservative estimate on production than he initially gave me.

The federal and state incentives, and the low interest rates for solar loans from PSCCU, make solar a no brainer in Washington. Ecotech gave us all the paperwork, FILLED OUT, and clear instructions on when and where to send it. All we had to do was sign them and send them to the respective agencies. Ecotech kept us up to date on regulatory changes too.

Ecotech is just fantastic to work with. The entire team!

Recommendations:
- Go with black backsheets. For $10, they look so much better than those ugly white grid ones.
- Share your prior utility bills with Ecotech beforehand. Work with them to estimate your energy usage going forward. Design the right system for your house.
- If you are building, get the solar system up and running as soon as possible so you can be producing energy credits before you move into the house. We learned that the power bill has to be in your name, not your contractor's, before PSE will let you turn on the solar.

Our electric bill is only $9 each month, which is some sort of a basic charge, plus tax.

No brainer. No hassles. Ecotech is great.

Ecotech installed designed and installed our solar array in March of 2013 and we have been ecstatic! We knew we wanted solar electric and Dana did an evaluation of our home in 2007 helping us to find the best cost to benefit ratio.
