Nate is detail-minded and his crew does good work. We had Eco Handyman do a bunch of efficiency and weatherization upgrades in advance of installing a geothermal system. Getting all that done means our ground source heat pump won't need to work as hard to keep our home comfortable.

I debated posting this but my experience was so odd and unpleasant, I wanted to let others know. Nate the owner was incredibly unprofessional and frankly just a dick when he followed up on a bid request I submitted on his website for a complete home air seal and insulation project. He claimed I was a past client who was somehow jerking him around by asking for bids and not following through or something, it was just bizarre. He also explicitly said if I wasn't down for spending at least $10k on the project he suggested I get bids from other businesses. He clearly had me mixed up with somebody else, but he didn't want to hear it, literally told me he wasn't getting paid to talk to me on the phone and hung up on me. It was just about as unprofessional as any experience I have ever had. These guys did an energy audit for me almost 10 years ago and they were great which is why I called them for this bid, but must have been a different owner at the time. I know there are a lot of great reviews here and 10 years ago that was my experience, but not today, that's for sure and if you read through the reviews, quite a few people have had the same experience I just did. Steer clear, many other great businesses providing similar services in Boulder area with owners who are professional and competent. Follow up 2.0 - It SHOULD make him sorry to see a review like this. This is such gaslighting from the owner in his response, the only verbal abuse and hostility was from the owner, he was incredibly unprofessional and just a jerk. The truthful part about his response is that yes, he hung up on me...in the middle of me asking normal questions in a pleasant respectful way. What a crock of BS response trying to cover your ass, just own it instead of trying to BS everybody, we all have bad days ya know? Stay far away, I'm not the only person who had a negative experience with the owner or the actual work done.

Nate was super clear and thorough with his quote for our crawlspace work. His team was tidy and did a great job. The quality of the work was very good. I would recommend Eco Handyman to anyone looking to fix up a crawl space.

I needed radon mitigation after some air sealing greatly reduced the air flow into the house. Nate came for an estimate and clearly explained how the system would work and the possibility that an additional hole in the basement floor might be needed. The person doing the work did a good job and came back the next day with a replacement fan when the speed adjustment did not work on the one he installed. The system is mounted with flexible attachments to the house to avoid transmitting noise and vibrations into the house. It included a separate radon meter, which allows me to adjust the fan speed to what is needed to achieve the desired radon level.

The team at Eco Handyman did a great job air sealing and adding insulation to my attic. They were professional, clean and great with communicating the status of the project! Would definitely recommend.

Nate has helped us with a number of projects since we moved into a much older (1896) home. He has installed insulation, and attic fan, and a radon unit. He's also been willing to discuss projects that he wouldn't bid on himself.

Nate, our trusty Eco Handyman, did a superb job at my mid1950s home that had never been properly insulated. When he came to give me an estimate, he took his time and explained everything carefully. We settled on wall and attic insulation plus a little work around the roof vents. His crew arrived on time, explained everything thoroughly, and did good work and an excellent cleanup. I learned a great deal while they were here. By undertaking this work, my house has gained even temperatures throughout, no more cold drafts, and I no longer need those extra blankets. Nate also facilitated my Xcel rebate which arrived surprisingly fast.

The initial energy efficiency estimate was very helpful and definitely showed they know a lot about insulating and air sealing. But be aware that some rebates require a blower door test before and after improvements, which was not part of my estimate.

They did great work improving the insulation all around the house and redoing the radon system with high quality materials. I was also happy to see them using drop cloths and plastic tenting to protect my house from mud and dust.

We are very happy with the installation of a radon mitigation system in our home in Boulder Heights. Nate is an excellent communicator, Tyler and Ryan did a stellar job, working in a very tight area of our utility room, and a complicated route for the fan and piping outside. We highly recommend the entire crew at Eco Handyman.

Nate came out to help assess an issue with exterior plumbing and freezing pipes. He couldn’t solve our problem, but offered his expertise and suggestions for finding a solution that worked for us. We had eco handyman do radon mitigation and the results were great with readings below 1.0 post mitigation. Great service!

We just did a whole house overhaul with Nate and we could not be happier. After replacing our furnace with a 97% efficient unit last year it finally feels like we are harnessing the full efficiency of our system!

After having the work done for a couple weeks now and experiencing a range of temperatures we have seen an initial drop in natural gas usage of about 40%

Nate's team was at our house for 4 days insullating the entire home and making improvements to the attic and soffit venting, we also had a vent fan added to one of our bathrooms. Nate's guys were a pleasure to have at the house and for a job of this scope it felt minimally invasive despite the nature of the work.

We hired EcoHandyman to install a radon mitigation system, new crawlspace vapor barrier, and insulation in our home's crawlspace. Overall, we had a very positive experience and would recommend their services.

EcoHandyman was the most expensive of the bids we received, but we felt the quality materials and work justified the price for our primary residence. They used a thick 12 mil crawlspace vapor barrier, reinforced to 15 mil under stored items, exceeding the flimsier 6 mil plastic typically used by cheaper contractors. The radon system components were high quality and installed properly for energy efficiency and performance.

Throughout the project, communication was clear and all crew members conducted themselves professionally in our home. They kept us informed during each step and were thoughtful about protecting our space during the messy crawlspace work.

Most importantly, the crawlspace improvements have drastically reduced winter radon levels from over 8 pCi/L to around 1 pCi/L now. The vapor barrier and added insulation also seem to make the floor noticeably warmer this winter.

The overall experience gives us confidence that the work was done right. While the price was high, we felt it was fair for the quality and expertise. For any major crawlspace or radon work needed in the future, EcoHandyman will be at the top of our list to call again.

Eco Handyman moved my "to do" list from the extensive Xcel energy audit to the "Done" list. Eco Handyman was one of the Xcel recommended contractors to update my 70 year old home to 21st century energy standards with a very competitive and knowledgeable bid. They gave me the most complete and thorough bid to have more attic insulation blown, Radon mitigation, as well as a vapor barrier and insulation added to my crawl space. Their crews were very professional and completed the work in a timely manner. I highly recommend Eco Handyman for any work you need to have done to make your home more energy efficient and comfortable.

Nate was willing to tackle a non-standard job, trying to fix a pre-existing problem where pipes were repeatedly freezing. Was able to greatly improve the situation by strategically adding and removing insulation, without tearing out pipes or entire walls.

I can't say enough good about how easy it was to work with Eco Handyman. They did an initial sealing of my crawl space and a follow-up repair after I needed additional structural work done in the crawl space by another contractor. I give them 5 out of five stars.

We were involved in the Marshall Fire and our insulation had to be removed due to smoke damage. Nate and his team did a great job removing the insulation, air sealing all of our penetrations and leaks and re-installing insulation to new codes and standards. Like most of these types of projects it's common to run into problems along the way and Nate and his team did a fantastic job taking the responsibility of making certain that the job was done right and to their standard of the highest quality. We were so impressed that we had Nate spec and encapsulate our crawlspace - and we've already seen a huge improvement in house comfort. Not to mention that having Nate and his team around for a week was easy because they're good, personable guys, and his office and business manager Rayven is fantastic !

I hired EcoHandyman to install a radon mitigation system, replace the vapor barrier and install new insulation in the crawlspace. We ran into a few hiccups, but Nate did everything to ensure that the transaction was smooth and that I was pleased with the work. He even came out recently (the original work was done over the summer) to make sure the system was operating correctly.

I used Eco handyman to install insulation in my home. I was surprised that the holes drilled in my garage and exterior siding were only plugged with wood and not finished. I subsequently had to hire a drywall/paint company and purchase drywall plugs to complete the job. This amounted to thousands of dollars on top of the thousands I paid for the insulation. Read your contract carefully! This was not verbally explained before the start of the project.

Amazing experience with Nate and his crews. They installed new LED can lights, blew in cellulose insulation, and air sealed our attic. You can easily feel the difference in our home -- warm and comfortable -- just in time for winter. Nate also went the extra mile to help with our LED lighting....excellent customer service and support.....highly recommend them.

Eco Handyman put in our second radon removal system a few years ago, but they just earned this 5 star review and I wish more home improvement companies offered this level of service... Our fan started making noise recently and this crew responded to us so quickly and replaced the fan (warranty issue) so quickly, we barely noticed the work being done. Everything works perfectly and as intended. We highly recommend getting the radon out of your home, and this is a great company to support. You will be pleased.

Bought a home built in 1966 that had "insulation" from 1966. Called Eco Handyman to see what they could do to bring us up to 2020 insulation standards. We were able to quickly schedule an appointment and Nate provided us a thorough set of remedies, all at very reasonable rates. We, for the time being, only had them dramatically increase the attic insulation, seal attic gaps, and improve the thermal efficiency of the attic entryway. The work was fast, effective, and clean. House, and more specifically, the second floor, is significantly cooler through the 90+ days we've been having. Would happily have them back for subsequent work.

Nate did a very thorough job checking out the attic in my apartment after we found out there was no insulation at all over half of my space! He worked with the landlord to come up with a cost effective plan to blow insulation and seal the attic. Now my place is much more comfortable!

Ecohandyman helped me out immensely this week with crawl space and insulation moisture. They isolated the water, entry pulled the wet insulation, sprayed anti-microbial liquid and repaired the vapor barrier liner. This was all done very quickly even though they are busy with other customers. Nate stayed in touch via text and email and will return when needed to replace the insulation. Superior service!

Ecohandyman has been my choice for various tasks for a number of years. Just had an appliance leak into my crawlspace and Nate came quickly to diagnose the issue. They removed the old stuff and advised me on the implications of the leakage and made helpful suggestions on how to remedy the issue. They are super helpful and really care!

Just wanted to say a quick thank you, last spring you all came out and did some work on an existing radon mitigation system. Before your work my basement was testing out at about 9 pCi/L, I have taken a two separate readings in our basement this winter and both have come out <2 pCi/L. I recall the root cause was a PVC pipe filling with condensate. Anyway, thank you so much for your work, it made a huge difference!

I was recommended Eco Handy man for a few remodel items in the house, including tiling the bathrooms and kitchen. My husband and I were going over the estimate, and as soon as we started to ask for precise numbers on cost, Nate acted annoyed by our questions. He wanted to know if "we were serious" before going into any detail. For instance, he gave us an estimate for a solar tube in one bathroom, but didn't want to give us an estimate on the second bathroom (which was a different situation due to the attic) until we were ready to go forward with other remodeling. He wouldn't give us ball park figures on materials. He actually said, "some people just want to mine me for information." Does getting a complete estimate qualify as "mining for information?" It seemed like before he got halfway through the estimate, he had come to his own conclusion about what we were worth, whether or not it was true. He said, "I have customers who buy such high end materials that my labor cost is a rounding error." He didn't want to spend any more time with us. Do most people not want to know how much they are going to spend on a project ahead of time? Are you expected to sign a blank check? Perhaps it is not worth their time or energy unless they are doing huge remodel jobs of at least $30,000. I can't hire someone if the relationship starts with bad communication. Regardless of the size of the job, you need to treat people as human beings, not just dollar signs.

Ecohandyman has done two big jobs at our Boulder home -- one with added insulation and the other for radon mitigation. My wife and I have been extraordinarily satisfied with everyone from the Office Manager to the folks who do the work to the owner, Nate. I give them my very highest recommendation.

Lewis and Bill came bright and early, a quarter before 8 and replaced my furnace, finishing at 1:30. They did a great job! Lewis had come by the week before and we talked about what I needed as a replacement and I found Lewis an affable, honest, stand up guy, passionate about his work, meticulous with details, and truly wanting the best for the client.

I had to leave for a few hours and when I came home I found Lewis and Bill left my place exactly as they found it, and Lewis even called me later that afternoon to ask how I liked it and if there was anything I thought he missed. Nope. True to his word, he delivered exactly what I wanted and couldn't have been more pleased.

They've redone my shower three times now and managed to mess it up every time either through sheer incompetence or complete apathy. They regularly fail to come when they say they will, never call before they do come and take a stupid amount of time to do even the simplest of jobs. Don't hire this company it's not worth the headache. I'd give them negative stars if it were an option.

What can I say but that I'm thoroughly impressed with Eco Handyman in every way. They did a very thorough and high-quality job. My wife and I are expecting our first child in July and had planned to use one of the rooms above the garage as the nursery. Unfortunately, the rooms above our garage were very cold, which led us to pursue an energy audit to see what could be done about it. The audit revealed that the insulation in the garage ceiling had fallen down and left a gap between the ceiling and the floor of the rooms above. On reference from a friend, I decided to get a quote for this work, as well as conditioning our crawlspace, from Eco Handyman. They were able to come out very quickly and we got the quote within a few days. The price seemed reasonable so we decided to go with them. This was a great decision!

They were able to schedule us very quickly. They showed up with two crews: one for the garage and one for the crawlspace. The crews communicated with us in terms of what they were going to be doing, and they wore shoe covers or took off their shoes when in the house. They were very focused on their work and finished by around 3 PM. After they finished, their work was quality checked by the guy who gave me the estimate. Then, they helped me to enroll in Boulder County's Energy Smart program so I could take advantage of rebates for the upgrades. Eco Handyman was very responsive with all the paperwork required. When we had the post-work CAZ testing done, it was revealed that our air leakage was improved enough for a rebate through Xcel Energy as well. They were very helpful with this rebate and worked with Energy Smart to quickly process it. Plus, the guy who did the CAZ testing also did a quality check on request from Eco Handyman. The rooms above the crawlspace now feel much warmer than they did before, and the living room above our crawlspace is not as cold as it used to be.

I personally follow the philosophy that it's more cost-effective in the long run to have work done right the first time, and Eco Handyman certainly embodies this principle. They will give you an itemized, easy-to-understand estimate of all the work to be done, and can even help you to choose those things which will produce the best return on investment. I would gladly use them again anytime, but unfortunately they did such a good job improving our home's efficiency that I don't know what else there would be to do.

Nate and his crew are beyond awesome! Nate came for the initial inspection of my house and within two days, he and his guys were hard at work, insulating my very cold floors. The end result is more than I could have imagined, it's like I live in a new house.

Not only did they get the job done in record time, but they are really good guys and I enjoyed hanging out with them while they worked.

Eco Handyman to the rescue!!!

Like many people, we were hit pretty hard during the recent floods. We called Eco Handyman to help us upgrade our crawlspace. Their team installed an advanced sump pump with interior perimeter drain in the problem areas, and then a white vapor barrier throughout the space. I have tested the sump pump, and it works great, and the vapor barrier really makes the space much nicer than before. The humidity level dropped from 80% to 40% the first day after they installed their system, and things are more or less back to normal in our home. We had used Eco Handyman for a cool modern tile backsplash in our kitchen years ago, a deck for our hot tub, and a custom hinged bench, and we were glad they were able to help us with our crawlspace. It's great to know they do such a wide variety of work to such a high standard. I even called them recently about a job I was doing myself, and they saved me a lot of money with their free advice. Thanks for all the help, and we'll keep you in mind for future improvements.

Nate and the Eco Handyman team are fantastic. Everything you want from a Handyman. Timely - for when those little emergencies like a broken window happen). Professional - I want to have confidence that the job will be done right and Nate and his team's professionlism help to give me that confidence. Great Craftsman - I have had Eco Handyman take on some pretty large jobs, and there skill set extends well beyond general fix its, with an attention to detail that gives me confidence hiring them to do any task from small to a high end kitchen remodel or building a tool shed. And, if these qualities alone did not make them the best handyman company in the Front Range, their commitment to environmentally sound practices puts them over the top!!! From making materials purchases at the ReSource Yard when possible to knowing cutting edge practices for insulation, lighting, etc., Nate and the rest of his team are true experts in enviro building techniques!!! I reccommend them 100%!!!
