East Fork Roofing

I recently had my roof replaced with East Fork Roofing. Everything start to finish went great from the proposal to the final inspection. I had no complaints and would recommend this company. Since I scheduled this job during the winter months, they gave me a great price too.

East Fork replaced our roof in 2019. It's now been five years and i figure that its been long enough for me to leave a real rating for the job.

When I first reached out to East Foirk, there were initially some communication issues, but after calling back a number times, and asking to speak with a manager, i was handed over to the owner, a really nice guy who was apologetic for the lapse in getting back to me and pointed out that the company, while EXTREMELY busy at that point in time and was also going thru some growing pains as well as losing their office manager.

The process was pretty straightforward. There was another snafu on the date that our roof was supposed to start, but once the crew started, it went really fast. The crew were really nice and polite and despite not being within the scope of their practices, I managed to talk one of them into dismounting a beloved vintage weathervane from the top of the highest gable on our roof and then re-mount it after the job was done. I really appreciated this and not many other companies would have done this for me. Thank You, East Fork.

There was a color change. We took our roof from an ugly, muddy brown color to a charcoal color. Vents were installed, where we had none and our roof was brought up to current code.

Cost; East Fork was considerably cheaper than virturally every other roof outfit in Reno. I'd give 5 stars if not for the communication issues and the fact that one of the workers left a gate standing open and my dogs got out. After five years our roof still looks brand new. Not one leak, anywhere thus far.

If you need a new roof and cost is a major concern for you, you cant go wrong with East Fork. They did a great job with ours. Just stay on top of them and go the extra mile in regards to communication and you wont be disappointed.

East Fork Roofing did a complicated roof repair ( last year,) around my chimney for me after a previous, different roofing company replaced my roof and did the flashing all wrong around the chimney and I had water leaking inside the wall behind chimney. East Fork Roofing company did a professional repair job, and they blended in the new shingles perfectly, and also at a very reasonable price. One year later, and not one drop of rainwater or melted snow drips in around my chimney, oh how I wish I had gone to them first! They deserve 5 stars!!

Tim and his crew did a great job, were friendly, cleaned up after each day, were on time and their supervisor followed up with a few things that showed me they all work well together as a team to do the job right. I love the result and my neighbors do too. The office staff is professional and thorough and easy to reach to ask questions. The whole operation is well organized and super professional. I highly recommend them. Price is in line with other bids with an additional discount offered.

East Fork Roofing also does Snow removal from roofs! They are always punctual, with great service, and great value.
Our house is at 7,200 ft elevation, and when it snows, it really snows. The crew does a great job of removing the snow from the roofs without damaging the roof.

These guys turned a 10 minute caulking job into hours of repair work for me. Their employee told me he couldn't get into the portion of our attic where the leak was happening. He told me I needed to replace the entire roof, nailed a cheap plastic tarp over the general area of the leak, and took off. Being a first-time homeowner I figured I could trust him. I even replaced his cheap tarp with a proper one while I tried to figure out options for replacing the roof.

I finally got around to getting a second opinion. Turns out you *can* get into the part of attic where the leak was (it was just a little too inconvenient for East Fork's guy). The location of the leak was very obvious, and the roof is actually in great shape otherwise. It took me ten minutes to caulk the hole. I then spent about 4 hours removing all the nails the East Fork put in my roof in order to lay the tarp, and filling in those holes. We've had quite a few rainstorms/snowstorms since my work and have had no leaks at all!

Really shameful business practices.

Our roof was installed by an excellent crew. We appreciated their professional and courteous behavior. I asked for them to leave some scrap roofing metal so I could cover my new electrical enclosure later. They took the extra initiative to complete that extra roofing section even though it wasn't in the initial quote. The roof looks great, and the electrical panel roof section looks much better than if I had attempted it myself. I really appreciated the extra....where can you get service like this anymore?

I learned about East Fork Roofing from one of my real estate clients and saw the excellent job they did for that home. The team was professional and honest in assessing our roof's condition. They were very responsive giving a quote and stuck to the quote. Quote was average to other quotes I had received but they use superior quality shingles (Malarkey Shingles) which usually cost more than GAF which all of the other quotes I received were based on. Installation on my smaller single story home with 3 beds 2 baths about 1400 sqft livable space with large garage took 1 week which was longer than I expected after seeing my neighbors similarly sized house get done by a different company in 2 days. Members of the crew had left early due to "family issues" multiple times during the week of installation. Their average work day stared around 9am-3pm not including drive time from Reno (where they're based) to Carson. To be fair, they did get the job done within the quoted time frame and I had opted for some upgrades that took additional time.

The main office does lack some organization. I was told the color shingles I initially wanted weren't available in the upgraded vista shingle and was told that If I wanted a lighter color shingle the next closest would be silverwood. After agreeing to this change the delivery crew sent the completely wrong color shingle, drip edges and vents. I had previously asked multiple times to get the correct colors verified on paperwork with no response. This issue was rectified but work was not able to be done over the weekend because of the mix-up and prolonged the job by 3 days. Also the crew left a very large amount of nails all over the house and yards which I half expected but not as much as I collected (nearly an ice cream containers worth). The crew also ran into my front gutters with their dump trailer but they did replace the gutter at no cost to me.

While dumping old roofing material into the dump trailer they marked up my freshly painted garage door and failed to clean it up and didn't address this issue after bringing it up. This is the main reason for a low review. They do seem to lack experienced crew most of them were limited to only doing cleanup which they lacked on by not picking up the nails. The foreman did most of the work himself with the help of one other somewhat experience helper and overall did an acceptable job with a little lack on attention to fine details. They almost left my flue for my wood burning stove crooked until I inquired about the issue and basically had to tell them how to correct it without having to redrill the supports that were already drilled into the new shingles / roof.

I was ready to replace my roof and contacted 3 roofing companies. East Fork Roofing was the only company who responded. They made the entire process very easy. The office staff made sure to explain every step of the process in detail. They were extremely accommodating, even when I changed my mind about the color of the shingles I wanted. The crew was efficient, hardworking and courteous. They started early and stayed late. They cleaned up each evening. They were all wonderful. I highly recommend East Fork Roofing to anyone who is thinking about having their roof worked on or replaced.

I am a renter and our management co. sent these guys out to replace the roof, the mgmt co. said it would take 7 days...these guys got it done in 2 1/2 they were polite and did not screw around...A JOB WELL DONE!! Thank you!!

Used company for inspection due to refinancing. The inspector pulled shingles causing them to be missing in places that they were not missing from in the first place as well as areas that shingles are now flapping in the wind due to being folded in half. Now we are receiving calls, texts, and emails to see if we agree with the quote they provided for redoing the entire roof. They did state that they don't need the work that they have enough work for their employees.

East Fork Roofing was one of the two companies I requested a quote from. They were very responsive and came in $5,000 less than the other company. The entire process from start to finish was very simple and their entire staff in all divisions were very helpful. They quoted 7-10 days to replace my roof and they were done in the specified time. The installers cleaned up their work daily and were very respectful of my property. The sent me photos and updates of the progress as well as answering any and all questions I had during the install. I had an additional question after the final inspection and their staff was still very responsive to me and not only emailed me but called to assist me. I will recommend East Fork Roofing to all my family and friends.

I contacted East Fork last spring (2019) for a quote along with 4 other local companies. Only 3 out of the 5 roofing companies called me back. Of the 3, East Fork came in at the lowest price, beating the others by 3k and 8k respectively. East Fork did not try to up-sale me into anything I did not need like the others. They provided direct quotes with tentative work dates within days. Unlike the other 2 that took weeks. Once the work was started the crews worked much quicker then I anticipated. What we scheduled as a 5 day job took only 3. All exterior grounds were cleaned properly and measures were taken to protect any plants in the work area. Updates/Photo's on the project were provided daily via email, which was great since I was over 400+ miles away when work was being done. All I can say is this roofing company is awesome and I would recommend them to anyone. Don't waste your time with other roofers, by the time you get a quote these guys could be done and will beat their price anyway!!

My husband and I were very pleased with the professionalism, quality and responsiveness of East Fork Roofing. Work place was kept clean at the end of each work day. Staff was very helpful whenever we had a question or a concern. We would recommend them to anyone who wants a quality roof at a great price.

I chose this company to replace my roof because of the reviews I read online. I had never heard of East Fork. I got 4 different estimates and they were also the least expensive. That part made me a bit nervous, because you know what they say "you get what you pay for". Well after speaking with the women in the office...all detail oriented, knowledgeable and then nice and friendly to boot, what else can you ask for? Then the guys who actually did the work, Garret the foreman and Aaron have got to be the most patient, easy going guys. Any concern I had, they stopped, smiled and answered in detail.
I could see they took pride in their work, and then they swept and cleaned up every night before leaving. I almost want to say they are the face of the company since that is who you see and deal with for a week. But Linda and Jessica are just as important since they are the conduit between custumer and owner. From office to jobsite this company is about quality, service and detail.

I just had one hiccup. I had asked if I could dispose of a bunch of branches sitting on the side of my house since last summer...long story short, that issue was easily resolved, but I must admit I was nervous. So FYI! Don't dispose of personal stuff until the job is done.

East fork roofing did an amazing job on my home in a day and half! They cleaned up everything as they worked though out the day. No nails or remnants were left. The workers were very respectful and informative on everything that was being done. I will be highly recommending them too all my friends and family!! Thankyou East Fork Roofing!!

The foreman and workmanship was very impressive. I’m thrilled with the end result and would probably give them a five star. Excellent job using Google maps and the internet to create a bid and update account details. The person at the front desk showed promise, but miscommunicated the use of plywood when press wood was used, which I hate. She also failed to answer some basic questions when things were wrapping up and got a little snarky. Spent some time talking to the GM who was a well put together business manager. Would recommend.

I had my roof replaced in April or this year. What a wonderful experience! My procrastination worked!! We found the right roofing company to do the job . Well organized, reasonable quote/price, exceptional customer service, and of course attention to details on roofer himself who did the job . We are very happy and pleased to recommend them to anyone who wishes to have their roof replaced!

Linda, Jacky, Amy & Cecilia are great and were very helpful. They kept me informed every step of the project. Once the project was started (Right on time) they sent daily pictures of the project progress.

When Ricky and the tear-off crew arrived they were all very friendly & professional (Ricky was first foreman on the job) they did a great job and were very conscientious about my property. They even cleaned all my gutters :-)

Wayne and the roofing crew were top notch, they made it look easy, and when they were done, the new roof looked fantastic. Great Job Guys!

What a nightmare. Small repair needed, after missing 2 appointments they came out did the work, within weeks the shingles were missing and broke. Called them to come back out, and once again after missing appointments, they came BACK out and fixed it again. Within a couple of weeks the same thing happened. Broken Shingles that were not tacked down properly. I just had them refund my money..Can't imagine the problems I might have had if they had done the whole roof..
