Drew's Affordable Steel Roofing

The crew from Drew's Affordable Metal Roofs just completed their second contract job with us. As usual, the crew was outstanding and the finished product is beautiful. So far they have done our house, shed and screen room and we are very happy with the results. The only downsize of this job was some poor communication from the "sales office". But once the crew was here, they went right to work, were efficient, polite, honest and committed to making sure that we were pleased with the roofs. We will definitely use them again for upcoming projects.

I had the roof of my historic 1830 farmhouse partially stripped and the entire roof covered with metal. The process took 5 days with the 2 day delay for stripping. The contract was adhered to to a tee and the onsite crew’s work ethic and dedication to the job were second to none. They were amazing. What a great bunch of guys! The stripping crew worked in the pouring rain and were soaked. From what I read online it seems that others feel the same way about the Drew’s crews

The roof has now been on for a year. And I’ve had no issues. And there has been a lot of rain and snow during this past year. My house is a large 3,600 sq ft Big House - Little House - Back House - Barn structure. I left the sign up for about 3 months in the yard after the work was done. I still get compliments on the work they did.

Overall I’m very happy with the job and the price I paid for the work.

However the process wasn’t as easy as it could have been.

The work began at least 2 years after the contract was signed. I called about the job many of times during that period and was always called back within a few days by Blaine. There was a $7,000 deposit put down that my wife assumed was gone forever.

There were supply and labor issues coming out of Covid. My color metal was not available for a time. Etc. Luckily the roof on the house which was in bad shape didn’t fail.

There were many metal price increases that Blaine did NOT pass on to me. I was called on a Friday afternoon and told that the crew would be there on Monday. They were.

The issue I have with this company is that they didn’t keep me in the loop very well. There seems to be a need to have a person in the company to keep the customers updated. My salesperson was terminated during the process so he was not available to me to ask what was going on. Nor could he advocate for me.

“Is there a list? Where am I on that list? When do you think you’re going to be able to get to me?” I don’t know or understand the roofing business but I don’t think this is being unreasonable when you have the cost of a decent used truck on the line. I had to keep over a lot of money liquid for a few years.

A call from Drew’s to me every month or so to tell me that I had not been forgotten or the company was still in business would have been helpful. I knew I could break the contract and get my money back, but where would I be then? On the bottom of someone else’s list.

Would I use them again? Yes. But I would add some performance clauses attached to the contract. I would have hated to have been out of town that week when they showed up to start the job. The product and craftsmanship were worth the wait but I could done without the stress.

Deposit and contract signed in fall of 2021, materials deposit made in spring of 2022 to get in their schedule, Multiple phone calls and emails unanswered. If you don't mind a company sitting on over 15k for almost 2.5 years go ahead and use Drew's not affordable roofing ,as the job never was completed and we are still waiting on money back or the so called materials that they say they purchased. Happy for those that have not been taken advantage of by this loser company, another year has gone by, with NO MONEY refunded and NO Product delivered. BUYER BEWARE.
