Joel and Matt were prompt, professional and friendly with both the estimate and the job. They worked efficiently to remove a large tree that was standing uphill of our home in the woods. It was challenging work with a large, mature poplar but they put it right where we wanted it in spite of the proximity to the house. I would recommend Dogwood Tree Service to anyone in the area!

This is my first online review for anything, ever. To say I'm giving my impression of a "tree service" does not do justice to what Joel and his son Matt are : SuperHumanMiracleWorkers, THAT's the category they need. There really are few words to describe the amazing spectacle that took place at our property over the last two weeks. The woody adelgid is a MFr, and seeing dying hemlocks is sad, the beech issue too. But managing a woodlot is important, and Dogwood Tree Service made the experience as smooth and easy as could ever be expected or hoped for. Oh I'm sure there could be cheaper outfits out there, if "beahhhhhhite", "should be ok" or a big old mess left behind is acceptable to you. But if you value your property, your trees, your peace of mind and want the job done absolutely 100% correctly with the upmost professionalism, then allow yourself to witness these master craftsmen at work. Essentially, these guys risk their lives and limbs to save yours, thats superhero in my book!! Five stars? These dudes get a GALAXY rating from me!

The company showed up, worked hard and cleaned up to very high standards due to a wind storm taking an 80+ foot pine tree down.

I highly recommend Dogwood Tree Service, Owner, Joel Hollen. He was very professional doing the removal of three tall trees clinging to the creek bank . Upon request, he provided proof of his license and Insurance, followed by an inspection/assessment and proposal. He returned phone calls and texts promptly and provided pictures of the finished work in a text. No complaints!!

Joel’s skill and knowledge are unparalleled. I live in Marion County and have used his services multiple times over the last 15 years for several simple tree removal jobs and a few more complicated ones and have always been completely satisfied. He knows trees and only does the work that’s needed and for a more than reasonable price. There have been a couple of times over the years when contacting him was difficult due to technical problems with his phone service leading me to call someone else. That was a big mistake as the service I received was far below the standard Dogwood provides and also much more expensive. Contacting him has not been a problem over the last several years but honestly I would gladly persist even if it took me numerous calls to speak with him. Do not call anyone else, call Joel you’ll be glad you did.

For the last 25+ years Dogwood tree service has performed a very professional, knowledgeable and safe service. They are very prompt, cost-effective, and diligent professionals. Weather related emergencies are no problem for them. Being highly educated, they perform complicated rigging to complete the job in a safe manner around your home or any dangerous obstacle. I could go on, but I think you get my point!

I needed large limbs removed from around my house that were leaning over my roof. I called and they promptly called me back, came over to check the job, and gave me an estimate same day. They then came the next day and did a fast and efficient job with nothing striking my roof. Fast reliable contractors are hard to come by in Elkins, but I lucked out!
