Diaz Painting and Renovations does great work and all their staff have been fantastic. From painting to hardwood flooring to installing our car charger, they did it all at a reasonable price and on schedule.

Called Diaz and he came by as scheduled to give an estimate on a kitchen ceiling replacement after a water leak/flood. I also had them repaint a bedroom ceiling and crown molding. Fair price and had his team here early the next day and they were finished mid afternoon! Ceilings looks great and all three workers were friendly and professional. Highly recommend this company.

This was our second time using Diaz for our painting and home renovations. Once again he and his team did an amazing job. For this job, we had Diaz paint our hallway and master, redo our stairs and stair railing, re-finish and stain the hardwood floors, remove old baseboard heaters, and do a complete renovation of our upstairs bathroom (new paint, new floors, new vanity, new toilet, new lighting, new exhaust fan, etc.). He also helped haul out old furniture, removed an old (non-functional) oil gas tank from the basement, and replaced a broken storm door.

One of the great things about working with Diaz is that the answer is always yes. His team is more than just painters - he has skilled craftsmen, workers with expertise in plumbing and electric, and everything else. There is no need to deal with anyone else. If you need something done in (or around) your house Diaz either can do it or has a guy.

After contacting Diaz, he came right out for a free estimate. He listened carefully to what we wanted but also made a number of important suggestions to improve the results. Each day his team was hard at work - they were trustworthy and courteous, and cleaned up perfectly each day. Diaz goes the extra mile to make things convenient - including hauling away trash/junk, recommending a local showroom, and picking up materials that we had ordered for the job.

As with any major project, there were a few bumps in the road. But Diaz worked through the curveballs with good communication.
They finished on-time and on budget, and the results were perfect.

We have hired Diaz for many projects past few years - gut/renovate our kitchen, bathrooms laundry room, and basement (summer 2024) and house repairs - flooring, cabinets and counter tops, deck work etc.
Most recently had cracking window overhead borders redone - Diaz crew came sealed & painted them and added an electrical outlet for our front porch.
He offered some good suggestions to incorporate into remodel ideas/planning that worked very well.

We contacted Diaz Contracting about Painting our house, replacing the carpeted steps and upper level with hardwood floors and other work. Mr. Diaz came out, talked to us, and provided us with excellent input for our project. We received a detailed estimate broken down into individual tasks with labor and materials broken out. This was extremely helpful in our decision making and the cost was fair for the amount of work to be done so we agreed to have Diaz do the work. We are living in the house so the work had to be done around us. I can tell you that this is a very trying process but Diaz's courteous, professional and did everything they could to make us as comfortable as possible. At the end of each day they cleaned up prior to leaving and let us know when they would return the next day. We are very pleased with the final product. The work was completed on time and for the amount agreed upon. I recommend Diaz Painting and Renovations and we will use them for future projects.

Great interaction to schedule. They were able to accommodate a last minute booking and the team did a beautiful installation of a giant wall mural! Will definitely use again.

The work was scheduled in roughly 3 weeks. Did great job in painting the full house. Repaired all nail marks and scratches on wood framing as well as walls. At the end a full clean up to hel me sell the house. The price was very reasonable, quality was impressive and prompt.

Diaz has provided new flooring in our 3 baths and in our primary bedroom. They work quickly. The installation is smooth and flawless. The personnel are professional and polite. The cost is fair. We are now thinking of what we’ll have them do next.

Repaired, replace rotten wood trim with PVC and sand/paint trim on the whole house. Professional crew preformed top quality work.

Diaz Painting (no relation) found a leak in our roof and removed the damaged drywall, repaired the leak, replaced the drywall and repainted the walls and ceiling. They painted all our outdoor window and door trim, and repaired and painted our sunroom ceiling that had not been installed properly by the original builder. All work was very professionally done with excellent pricing.

Diaz and his and staff are AMAZING! This is the second time we have used his service and it won’t be the last! They do great work and are fast and professional!

Two words: Great value. The quality of their team's work is very good and they cleaned up well. My neighbor saw the work they were doing and immediately asked for their business card. Mr. Diaz is responsive and easy to work with. The only slight critique I have is timeliness. The team sometimes came at random times and the completion date was pushed back by a couple days. That being said, our project required a decent amount of equipment, and they're a busy team, so I give them a pass. Will definitely work with them again in the future.

I hired Diaz to paint all my exterior surfaces (wood trims, lintels, rails, and light fixtures), to redo the caulking in all the bathrooms, and to replace 3 light fixtures. The light fixtures they painted were in particularly bad shape having rusted over after 20 years in place, but they were able to get them to look like new. His painters and electricians did an amazing job and finished everything within 2 days. They were clean, efficient, and professional. I would highly recommend!

Diaz painting did an exceptional job painting the exterior of my home in Takoma Park. Diaz was responsive, professional and willing to negotiate on the price for the job. His team did a very thorough job including the preparation and cleaning, minor repairs and carpentry work and priming and painting. Very detailed and high quality work down to painting the gutters, down spouts and flashing. They did a great job cleaning up paint chips and debris when they were finished. We’ve hired Diaz and his team for multiple projects on our house because we appreciate the quality of their work! We first hired him to repaint our entire home interior (all walls and ceilings) and install new flooring (hardwood and carpet). We interviewed multiple contractors through Angie’s List and liked Diaz’s punctuality and professionalism - he had great references and reasonable estimates for the quality of the work. We hired him again two years later to repaint our house exterior, including power washing and re-staining our decks. His team always showed up on time and left the worksite very tidy afterwards. Over the past couple of years my wife and I hired Diaz Painting & Renovation for three large jobs on two different houses. They painted the exterior of my mother’s home in Potomac, including replacement of a number of outdoor windowsills that had started to rot. About a year later, to get the house ready for sale, we hired DP&R to paint the whole interior of the house, including plaster repair and wallpaper removal. They also buffed the hardwood floors, laid new wall-to-wall carpet, and installed vinyl plank flooring in the laundry room. Everything looked refreshed when we put the house on the market. When we decided to give our own home a long overdue facelift, we again contracted with DP&R to paint almost every room inside the house, parts of the exterior, complete various carpentry projects, install recessed LED lights in our lower-level office (among other electrical work), replace old wood paneling in the powder room with drywall, and, in our laundry room, install a new sink and faucet, re-route plumbing, and lay new ceramic tile flooring. They gave our home just the sprucing up we wanted.
For all of these jobs DP&R staff were professional and personable and kept to schedule. They respected our concerns about COVID, wore masks on the job and observed social distancing. DP&R’s pricing for all three jobs was highly competitive. We would gladly use them for future home projects and have recommended them to our friends.

Diaz did extensive renovation on my 100-year old house. His work was good quality and reasonably priced. Workers cleaned up worksite daily and were courteous and trustworthy. I use him whenever I need a repair. He just finished taking out a tub and installing walk in shower. Very pleased.
