Very friendly and professional company to do business with! Michele went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied and even sent out a get well card when she found my husband was ill and I would be taking over the details of our new building! They make you feel like family. Prices can’t be beat and their level of customer satisfaction makes this truly one of a kind company. They started off with good communication, but now that I need a repair, it’s out their hands.

I paid Dayton Barnes, and they paid the builder. Now; both Dayton Barnes and the Builder have been ignoring me.

I’m not happy with their service and/or lack of. I will definitely choose wisely next time I need a Steel Building.

We needed a shed for our business pronto, they worked and got it here.Fast, honest and efficient..The driver guy went above and beyond...I was being extremely picky and he was helpful and pleasant..Put it exactly where I wanted it.

I've been working with Landon over the past few months on a multi-purpose building. He is very helpful, resourceful, responsive, and professional. It has been easy to work with him as the structure has evolved and improved.

He gave us a tour of a Dayton Barns building under construction, answered our numerous questions, and the man who purchased the building was very positive about his experience with both Landon and Dayton and also answered questions for us on the concrete and other aspects of having the barn built. We walked away feeling confident of our choice and with an understanding of how to make our barn a reality.

We have not bought yet (involves getting an estate settled first), and Landon hasn't pressured us about the delays. I know that we have the information and knowledge we need to move forward quickly once the estate is settled and we can make the metal, auto, and train shops come to life and make my father-in-law's final desires come true. Thank you Landon.

Caleb was easy to work this, I had a building ready to go with him but I had to hold off a little bit. I called in today to deal with Landon and that experience changed. I was explaining what we needed and were trying to do and had an attitude and didn’t seem to know how to do his job. He would ask a co worker who would try to answer questions and keep telling each other to mute me. Couldn’t log into whatever system they use. I was trying to lock down a building today. He called and asked if I got text and I hadn’t, he asked if I was ready to proceed right this minute and I told him “no” his response was “oh well you made it seem like this was an emergency” well, it wasn’t. I was only trying to gather information and it seemed like to was clueless as to how to answer what I was asking. (How much is the building, how much is the payment with 10k down) seems pretty simple. I guess I was wrong. Found the same building 7k cheaper with more options including installing. I would no recommend dealing with this “senior project manager “

The owner is a great guy, he has a big heart and loves to give back to the community. If your looking to buy from Dayton Barns he will make it happen with great satisfaction!!

Update** Dayton barns customer service is very good. My salesmen Pete has been amazing and has refunded some money to have another roofer finish the job. After 7 weeks now universal metals claims they are coming Friday, after this review and Dayton barns management had a hard meeting. We will see. I have adjusted my review from 1-3 stars because Dayton barns management is trying hard to get who they paid to finish the job.

Original**Dayton barns doesnt build their steel buildings. They hire it out to universal metals. They came to build a garage, did a decent job but didnt finish the roof cap with closers and it is leaking. Four weeks later and they still havent come to repair the leak. Daytons has been good but their installers don’t hold up to their warranty.

Seeing all the negative reviews online from OTHER vendors and websites I was a little nervous about this project. But you all did great, very thorough, fast and we had it installed in just a few weeks.

Landon was extremely helpful through the whole process from designing what I wanted all the way to communication with the manufacturer. The install crew was amazing as well. They paid attention to detail and was extremely fast. I can’t say enough good things about these guys and would highly recommend!

Very bad experience, 1 year ago I purchased 3 carpots, they told me that within a period of no more than 2 weeks they would call me to coordinate the installation of the purchased units, unfortunately since there is a third company that manufactures the carpots, it took them a while 1 year to send me 2 units of the 3 purchased, they demand the downpayment and then you have no answers, the worst thing is that the contract tells you that you cannot claim the downpayment, if you decide to decline the purchase, I understand that if 2 weeks pass and I have decided not to buy, I will take responsibility, but after 1 year without having them, I think they should make the decision to refund the money, not only to gain the trust of a customer, also because of respect for all the people, I feel that they have been not very serious. I will never buy from this company again.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
I bought a building in late December with a lead time of 2 weeks until project completion. Almost 2 months later they finally show up to build it. During this time I am not told anything and have to fight to get someone on the phone. After building completion I notice tons of dents, scratches and screws all over the place. While I do understand that Dayton doesn't build, I do understand that they should take responsibility as the primary general contracting company. Fast forward to today (march 13th) and I still don't have a resolution. I have called many time and get told that "they'll contact Deer buildings" or I get told "they'll call me back" and never do. They say customer service is their top priority but I have yet to feel like a priority. If Dayton contacts me and actually does something to make things right I will change this review. If you still see it up then they have once again not contacted me back.

Working with Caleb from Dayton barns has been a great experience. He has gone above and beyond time and time again making sure my barn is exactly what I wanted. Even after placing my order he has checked in to see if there was anything else I needed. A true example of great customer service and support. I would highly recommend working with Caleb to anyone looking for a metal building. I’m extremely happy with my 30x40 and the price beat the other companies around. Requested a specific price quote with my specifications. I was sent a quote saying I priced this size because it was cheaper. I get another message asking if I liked the price. I said I asked for a different build, he said he was just trying to save me money. I said, you should have priced what I asked for and then sent a note saying, if this would would work, it would be x cheaper. He sarcastically told me thank you for telling me how I could do my job better.

I have been contacted by the owner. I was told that the salesman was kinda new and has been coached on how to handle this in the future. He seemed genuine in his apologies for how it was handled and sent me the price for what I wanted. We talked for about 30 minutes and I like a lot of what he said they do on a build. I have put this company back on the consideration column.

My experience with Dayton Barns was wonderful. Cory, my salesperson could not have have been better. The process of designing the barn was easy and the communication was awesome. That being said please know Dayton barns is a dealer for American Steel Carports whose home office is in Texas. My experience with ASC in Texas was terrible their customer service was a joke Dayton Barns did everything they could to assist. ACS didn’t come close to promised build date and couldn’t care less. I was finally was put in contact with a satellite of ASC out of Indianapolis who would be sending my install crew and they were awesome. Juan’s crew came to install my barn they were some of the hardest working people I have ever seen and they did so in a terrible snow storm. The language barrier was an issue but we used google translate and made it work. I’m happy with the barn and the service I received from Dayton Barns.

I love it!! Exceeded all expectations. The team helped navigate a challenging county permit process and worked long hours to complete the instal in only 2 days!

We recently had a barn and 3 run in shelters constructed by Dayton Barns and we couldn’t be happier with the service we received. Landon was extremely helpful in bringing our vision to life. The turn around time was quicker then expected. The buildings are wonderful quality and the construction crew worked very hard to get our buildings up in a timely fashion. I talked to many dealers trying to find the best deal. Rosemary Fodor was, by far, the most helpful. Pleasant to talk to and very knowledgeable. My building is even better than I expected. I would absolutely recommend talking to Rosemary at Dayton Barns.

We purchased this 30 x 46 x11 a couple years ago and we’re impressed with the quality and how quickly it was installed. We also bought the carports on each end for the same reasons, really keeps our stuff clean and dry.

UPDATE DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!! All windows leak , dents all the way around bottom 3' from over tighting screws. Very bad customer service!The build crew we're polite & worked like a team should . They worked hard only taking a couple breaks except for the 3-4 rain delays . Right back to work as soon as it stopped . Only bad thing was the language barrier .
I would also like to point out that COLOR MATCHED screws should be included with any building that is installed . They also cleaned the area well & took trash with them when they left . Update 1 still haven't fixed the problems with the building still needs 2 new man doors and all bottom panels have not been replaced . Update 2 fixed 1 door replaced 1 door did nothing to the bottom 3' of the panels . Never again !!

Company initially delivered a slightly damaged unit that wasn’t built to spec on the door design (supposed to be an X pattern), and the delivery driver did some minor damage to our driveway culvert pipe backing in. Company initially offered either a partial refund or to rebuild and deliver a new shed. The second option was very generous and closer to my desired outcome of on-site repairs that weren’t a possibility, so I initially chose the rebuild option.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances surrounding delays in new home construction after COVID, I wasn’t able to take delivery when the new shed was completed. When I initially contacted the company to request a change in compensation from the rebuild to the partial refund based on my inability to accept delivery, I was told that the original offer had been rescinded since I had made my choice and couldn’t take delivery, even though the company had been able to sell the shed we ordered and wasn’t out any money on the ordeal.

After leaving my initial review, the owner of the company contacted me and re-offered the partial refund option, which I received last week. The owner seems like a good guy, and since he ultimately made things right, I wanted to make sure to adjust my rating and the content of this review.

First time buying anything like this online O My, I worked with Landon from Dayton Barns. He made me feel comfortable from the start to the finish of my project, he and the Dayton Barns team Michelle, Jared and J W took care of me like a champ. With building questions, financings the whole nine yards. Also the installation team was fantastic 12 hours Done. I would highly recommend Dayton Barns and all steal buildings and already have.

I worked with Michele from Dayton on working up a plan for my building. Honestly probably changed my mind a dozen times and she always would just draw it up and quoted it quickly for me. Can’t say enough about her customer service while dealing with this process. Would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for a building or carport. Hope to work with them again in the future.

JW & Eric are there for their customers. Easy to work with, very accessible. They will handle your building needs from the planning to the finished product. They will do it with professionalism and a caring attitude .

We purchased a metal barn from dayton barns. We were told that this building would fit our needs for our storage and that it would be dry. They put this barn up and parts of the metal siding overlapped the cement newly poured foundation and other parts sat on top. The caulking they used to adhere the frame to the cement did not fully cover the metal frame. This allowed substantial water to come into the barn. There are parts where there is no caulking under the frame. Very poor quality. We have spent 3 weeks trying to fix the poor job they did without success!!! I would highly recommend to use anyone but this company. They hire a third party to build it and they built in 1.5 days a 30 x 40 foot structure. I would have gladly waited for a lengthy build to trade for better workmanship they would have got zero stars but that was not an option.

Also to add to matters we were verbally confirmed to have black screws on the all black structure but the salesperson did not add to the contract so we have silver buttons across the ENTIRE barn that we now have to paint. What was supposed to be the solution to our business issues has become a nightmare!

Edit: received a call from the company that basically told us we had a couple options to get our screws all of which would cost us additional money which was "supposed" to be included in our original quote. Long story short if you deal with this company make sure every detail is discussed in an email and you look at every single line of this "contract" and ensure they hold up their end of the deal. Lesson learned. Thank you, Dayton Barns for the valuable life lesson. we will continue to fix the barn to make it satisfactory to what we were told we were getting.
