I have used Dave’s Mechanical for many years and have always been impressed with their service and professional technicians. Originally contacted them by a reference from a family member. They accepted the job after we were turned down by another company that refused to service our system because they did not install it. Dave, Nate, Megan and Liam have always provided great, personable and timely service.

I can’t praise Dave’s Mechanical enough! They did an excellent job installing my Heat Pump. Their main concern was pleasing the customer. I recommend them very highly.

Dave's has been maintaining our three heat pumps for years now. He installed two of them, and we couldn't be happier. One of the installations was particularly difficult-- it took two days--but he and his coworker son just stayed after it, working steadily and precisely. They believe in tidy, clean work, and they consider carefully the aesthetic requirements a customer requests. My wife and I consider them as not only preferred contractors but as friends.

These two gentlemen are the real deal. They did a marvelous job installing two heat pumps at our home in Bangor. They were friendly, helpful, and professional. Dave's Mechanical Maintenance did an outstanding job cleaning my two heat pumps yesterday! The whole process took about an hour, and they left everything in my home exactly as it was—like they were never there. Both the indoor and outdoor units were professionally cleaned, and as always, their work was top-notch. Dave's Mechanical Maintenance is hands down the best in the area—professional, courteous, great pricing, and exceptional quality. I wouldn’t trust anyone else!

We had 2 heat pumps installed in November of 2023 and have noticed the difference in comfort from last winter where we only used oil & baseboard heating to heat our home. Our electric bill has increased some but not significantly. Nate and his dad are very trustworthy, reliable and did a great job with the install! Would definitely recommend them for your heat pump needs. It was also super convenient that they filed for the rebate for us and we just dealt with them for the payment.

Had two heat pumps installed a few months ago and they've been keeping the house nice and warm during the winter. Nate and his father were great through the entire process from answering all of my questions and trying to install what was best for me.

Update: Had my heat pumps cleaned and serviced a year later and everything went smoothly. Even using a power washer they were careful not to get anything else wet and I appreciate how diligent they were!

We had two Daikin heat pumps installed in December by Dave's. Prior to installation they explained how heat pumps work, operation and maintenance of and cost. They were punctual and completed installation quickly in the quoted time frame. There were no hidden costs or fees and they worked to get us the best rebate possible. They were great to work with. We love our pumps and highly recommend Dave's Mechanical Maintenance.

I highly recommend Heat Pumps by Dave's Mechanical. They are a very professional and friendly father and son team. They came to install our heat pump and they were in and out in no time. They even took the time to show us how to run the thing before they left, and what settings to keep it at to run the most efficient.
I had my heat pump installed a couple years ago and I never bothered to call them back to come clean it. This years they contacted me and asked if I would like to have it cleaned. They are now lined up to come clean it this week.

Quotes, discussions about options and installation was neat and professional. Dave made sure I was comfortable with the pump's operation and he and his son have followed up with me about everything I need to do regarding operation and rebates - I feel I can count on them to help me out any time I have questions or issues in the future. My heat pumps are quiet and have eliminated cold spots and drafts, making my house a warm place to come home to!

I have had 2 heat pumps installed by this company and they are absolute best! They are professional and had this last one installed in about 2 hours. It was amazing! I especially love that they take care of the rebates for you, as I know other companies don't do that. They are also less expensive than others in the area. Additionally, David provided a lot of good insight to other things I could do to help keep my home warm as I have an older house! I will have 2 more installed in the future by them. I wouldn't go any place else! I have yet to have an issue with either unit besides User Errors, but if I don't understand something, they are very quick to respond and help me figure it out very quickly! I highly recommend them!

Nate and Dave installed our new heat pump last week and we couldn't be happier about the whole experience. Nate answered all our questions and handled the Efficiency Maine rebate so we didn't have to front the money and wait for a rebate. Installation was a breeze - everyone was extremely polite and professional and the work was clean and done in less than 3 hours. Everything has worked as expected since then, but I have every expectation that if there are any issues they will be very helpful. Happy to recommend them.

I was more than happy with Daves Mechanical Maintenance. From the time they were contacted they schedule an appointment and then gave me an estimate.
They asked me all the questions that were necessary for them to give me the Heat Pump that would work for me.
Within less than two months (which included Christmas and the New Year they contacted me with a date to install.
I was impressed how they were very careful coming into my home with coverings on their boots. This is something that has never happened to me before. I know this is a small thing but when you have laminated flooring all the tracking in and out really does a job on them.
They explained as they went along and before they left, I felt that they had answered all my questions. They did not make me feel that I could not ask all the questions that I needed to.
If you are looking for a great company that knows what they are doing and are willing to answer any questions without making you feel you are a bother.

Nate and Dave completed the installation of our heat pump set up; one outdoor unit and two wall mounts indoors. Nate was highly responsive to questions we posed in the weeks prior to the install and on the day of. Dave is a qualified refrigeration electrician with 4 decades of experience. Dave and Nate's efforts are a testament to their professionalism; the units are performing beautifully, quietly and our house is at a comfortable 71 without our dirty fossil fuel burning furnace kicking on, despite the temperature outdoors being 34 F. Dave did stellar work installing the lines with a much appreciated eye to aesthetics, following the roof line of our bay window. They left all areas in which they performed work inside our home and outside in the yard as they found those. Nate provided helpful tips as to operation and use - all in all, we couldn't be more pleased and know, out of the 6 companies from whom we obtained a quote/proposal, we definitely made the best choice!

Dave’s Mechanical was quick to set up our quote and helpful setting up financing options. Went out of their way to ensure we received savings that became available after the fact. (Prior to installation) On day of installation, they were on time and did the work efficiently and with little mess. Also took the time to go over operation of the units and make sure that we didn’t have any questions. Would highly recommend.

My family has had Dave's MM install multiple heat pumps over the years. Most recently (this year) we had them install 2 heat pumps at our house. They are very professional and do quality work. Recent supply chain challenges impacted the installation timeframe but they communicated that up front so we knew what to expect and they kept us well informed until they were able to get the products in hand and complete the installation.

Dave and Nate were extremely professional. For circumstances out of their control (brutally cold and snow storms), our install date got pushed out. Nate always stayed in contact with me to ensure I knew what was happening and always apologetic. They arrived in install date and explained the process. They were both very polite and used their time wisely. They had both heat pumps and main unit installed and everything cleaned up in 5 hours. Nate went over all instructions on how to use the remotes and how to clean the heat pumps. I was left feeling I know how to operate, clean, and keep the units working the most efficiently.
