They came out within an HOUR of me calling and had the issue solved within the next 2 hours or so.
Ken is knowledgable, helpful and focused. He explained how things worked, in language that I could understand.
Ken and his teams are wonderful, organized, helpful, and on time! And their work is beautiful.
During the whole process I wasn’t on island due to Covid-19, but I was constantly updated on the status.

Ken with Dakine Handyman is professional, reliable, fair, and courteous. I called Friday to see if he had any available on Saturday. He explained for emergency calls, yes but that work for him would start again on Monday. I said I can call on Monday, but Ken said he would power up his laptop to schedule it. I said no its ok, I know it's a Friday and you would want to start your weekend. Ken said not a problem, and scheduled me in for Monday morning. As promised, he came. He explained what was wrong, ordered the part after advising how much it would be and said he'll keep in touch with me when it comes in. He called today, Friday to let me know the part is here and that he can come over to repair it. He was even gng to knock off a few $$ after his service. I said no, and advised we could pay. Ken-you are awesome, and am so appreciative of your professionalism and kind demeanor. Thank you!!!

I don't always give out 5 Stars, but when I do.. ;p Shout outs to: Ken, Shawn, Jeremy, and his crew for being SUPER timely, their Aloha spirit, solving a problem that my property manager thought would take days, or weeks, Dakine Handyman came out within an HOUR (from Anahola, is mostly why!) of me calling and had the issue solved within the next 2 hours or so?

Ken is knowledgable, helpful and focused. He arrived on time and worked hard. He explained how things worked, in language that I could understand. If he wasn't able to fix something in a cost-efficient way, he would explain that, as well, and give me options that made sense to me. I highly recommend Ken. He is very fair about his prices. Ken is an excellent, professional handyman that is able to do much more than most: fix appliances, do electrical and plumbing work.
Call him: you'll be so happy that you did!

Ken and his team are amazing! They addressed everything I asked for, built all the furniture, and staged my vacation rental beachfront condo. Usually updating a condo are stressful, but they made it enjoyable and exciting. During the whole process I wasn’t on island due to Covid-19. So I was constantly updated on the status and received countless pictures through google photos almost daily! It made me feel as if I was right there watching. I made several last minute changes and kept adding to the scope of work, and they were very accommodating. They also went way above and beyond constantly, for example, the countertop guy that I hired, didn’t do one of the steams completely perfectly. So they called him back on their own to make it perfect. Also, Home Depot made several mistakes on my orders and sold me a few defective items, which Ken handled for me no problem! These are examples of a team who are passionate and care about what they do! I will for sure be using them going forward for all my maintenance needs for my condo!

Hands down the best contracting experience we have EVER had provide work on our home in almost 10 years since owning our fully-restored 1973 Island home!

"Ken Dakine" bid a five figure roof and car port repair job for us. Started on time, finished on time; and most importantly, on budget!

Ken & his crew are one of those group of skilled contractors you are VERY lucky to find and depend on within a market of so many "mixed bags"! These guys set a standard I can only wish dozens of others within our community would follow!

His guys came on time and ready to work in uniform each day. They set up isolated, well-kept work areas. Cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each project milestone. And never conveyed anything but a positive, competent, productive & professional response to any goals, question or comments we discussed.

If his schedule is available for your project... HIRE HIM! (Otherwise, you're rolling the dice with someone much less reliable & professional.)

We have used Dakine Handyman services on numerous occasions for a variety of issues that needed attention at our condo. Each and every time we have been extremely pleased with Ken and his staff. They are timely, thorough, professional, and excellent at communicating with us. We are so thankful we found them and will continue to call them for future issues we have.
