C'ville Autobody fixed our Ford Ranger after a deer ran into the driver door.
Pro: the repair on the outside of the door was done well, including paint job.
Cons: there was dust ALL over the inside of our truck. There was a bubble on the part separating the driver window and rear passenger window. There was black glue on our Weather Tech seat covers and under our front floor mats.
There were new scratches and cuts on the interior driver and rear passenger doors.
When I went to pick it up, I pulled the rear passenger door handle and a piece fell off. They forgot to put the screw in which held it.
My question is, what else did they forget if they forgot something so simple?
I live an hour away and chose not to return.
I do NOT recommend this body shop.

Pro's.. immediate service work time on truck was fast and efficient. Office manager very professional. That said Con's... Not a very warm reception with unprofessional sign ( Herts car ) and front desk clerk has no professional service. Would never send my wife or family there with out me. Quality of work was sadly poorly done had to return ( over 2 hrs driving ) for them to fix. You might have a better experience but mine could of been a lot better.

This is the kind of situation where I wish I didn’t need them but BOY am I glad to know that cville auto body is there when I do. Matt, Chewy, Jesse and Bobby are rockstars. Not only did they do a superb job restoring my car to looking great, their customer service, responsiveness and solid communication with me were top notch.

Friendly staff, fast service, fair prices. I came in with a minor problem and got an estimate, problem fixed, and checked out in 30min. No one tried to upsell me on anything. Bobby Cox and the rest of Cville Auto Body team are phenomenal. I brought my car in for some front end damage and was able to pick it up about two weeks later, where Bobby provided me frequent updates on the status of it along with photos showing their progress.

I couldn't recommend this shop enough. I was able to drop my car off less than a week after I came in for an estimate. I had damage to the front bumper and grill which were fixed in 4 days. I’m very impressed with the speediness and quality of work that was done.

Came here in Feb 2022 to fix my bumper and taillight after backing into a pole. Work was quick, they advised me that since the car was in a previous accident (from the former owner), the bumper may become unclipped over time but it wouldn't happen in the lifetime of the car. 9 months later, it started unclipping. Calling to make an appointment has always led to voicemail (which they never respond to). Shoddy work, even worse customer service.

In Nov, I went with CAB after they gave me a quote. It was a small easy job ($1300 and no insurance company being used) that would take 2 to 3 days, and they could take my car right away. The bumper was back ordered. Not their fault, but they said they would call when part came in. By Jan, I don't hear anything so stop in. Still back ordered but they will call me. By April, I heard nothing from them. I stopped in. The guy just said want to bring the car on 4/10. I was shocked. No apology for not calling. He then said it would be 4 to 5 days. I told him I was told 2 to 3 since it was an easy small job. He said " I can tell you 2 but it will be 4 to 5." I was shocked again by how rude he was. This small job was a nuisance to them. To me, it was huge. My father had a medical episode and backed into my car. He died weeks later. This nuisance small job that made them very little money was a constant reminder of a tragedy in my life. I should have left, but I wanted the reminder taken care of as soon as possible. They took Mon 9:30 am to Fri 4:00 to get a 2 day job done. The paint doesn't match and the lines are off when they put the small back panel on. They never even called me to tell me it was finished. I had to call Fri morning to be told it wasn't ready yet, but he would call me back. I never heard from them. My husband called and was told the car has been ready for pick up and they had called me. That was NOT true. They never called me. I understand the back order, but the rude customer service, lack of communication, the inability to do what they said they were going to do and the below average work on an easy job is inexcusable. I don't recommend them.

Took my 2018 Honda Accord here a while back to have a rear quarter panel dent repaired. While the repair on the body panel itself was done well, including the repaint, the service surrounding getting the car repaired was poor. The shop was difficult to get on the phone at the time, resulting in my having to drive down their repeatedly to get updates on the repair (this includes to find out whether parts had arrived and whether the car was actually finished at the agreed upon time). But the worst thing was the state of the INSIDE of the car once I went to pick it up. The inside was completely coated in a fine dust/powder that had clearly come in through the side window while they worked on it, with no attempt made to actually clean it out at all. And sitting beside a nice, dirty hand print on the rear seat was a trim piece that was supposed to have been reinstalled under the fuel filler door. While I had no problem getting the car cleaned and reinstalling the trim piece myself, when you're paying over $1,300 cash (with no insurance involved I'll add) for a repair, you expect to get the car back in BETTER condition than when it went in. And while the body panel certainly looked like new, the inside of my car was somehow worse than when it went in. To me, it seems pretty careless, especially when they just leave a trim piece sitting on the rear seat like that. I can't recommend based on the service level. Spending over an hour detailing the inside of a car that was clean before it went in for work after paying all that is just not acceptable to me. The rest of the car that wasn't having work done should come back to you in at least the same condition as when it went in, and you certainly shouldn't have to reinstall parts that were removed for the repair on top of this. And given they're lackluster communication with me throughout this process, the lack of effort here was all the more frustrating in the end.

My brother in laws insurance company recommended this shop for some repairs that were needed after an accident....HUGE MISTAKE. The shop has had the truck for 6 months and still have no date on when the repairs will be completed. Everytime we call to get an update the only response we get is "we found more damage. it will be at least another week". Never have i ever seen an auto body shop take 6 months to complete a job in my life! At this point we are ready to have the truck towed elsewhere. Please do your research before going to this shop and if you need your car back in the next decade, then i would recommend taking it somewhere else.

I dented my bumper the day I relocated here for a new job and was completely lost as to what I was going to do. They gave me a free estimate and took my car in for repair - and I got it all fixed up within a few weeks. They were helping me while simultaneously answering phone calls at the same time - and patient with my questions as someone who had never been in an auto shop or needed a car repaired before. Hope the people here are able to get more support in managing the phone & other services. Thank you guys - sorry for my confusing questions!

Fantastic experience at Cville Auto Body! Job was completed in a timely manner and they did a great job as well. They also did the repair for a much cheaper rate than I was quoted over at Cosner, so I know where I'll be going in the future should I need any more body work. Fingers crossed that I won't.

Took my Forester there for repair based on the glowing reviews. Billy was very communicative at first, but after 2 weeks in the shop required prodding for answers. We eventually got the car back and after hours access was greatly appreciated. However immediately discovered headlights were misaligned. This place gets a passing 3 star review, not 5.

They were fairly busy and although they were not able to help me at the time (since i was just traveling through) they happily and helpfully referred me to someone who could patch me up. Was a very friendly place to visit for your unfortunate car damages

I have had multiple places of scratches, dents, chips, big and small and they are all around the vehicle. Including Cville auto body, I've visited four body shops for quote and cville auto body not only provided the lowest-rate, but they were the fastest as well. Cville auto body's quote is clear and to the point where all other quotes are really puzzling to me because they are often several pages long with jargons all over the place. Bobby and his team was hospitable and professional throughout the process. He allowed me to bring my own parts where other body shops are not as flexible. Because I wet-sanded some of the scratches before visiting the shop, Bobby also generously gave me a good discount. He and his team done their job not only on time but Bobby himself kept me updated by sending me pictures of my car throughout the process. In the end, everything was done right and to my satisfaction. Overall the customer experience is definitely A-grade. It would be A+ if you guys could vacuum and clean the interior of the vehicle before returning, as the interior of my vehicle did look a bit messed up when I first got in.

On a cross country move I had an incident with a deer a few miles from here. After limping my car into the local toyota dealership, they directed me to Bobby at Cville Auto Body. Bobby ended up opening the shop early for me. He worked with my insurance and even helped plan for a potential of shipping my vehicle since I was in the process of moving. They explain everything, call with updates, work directly with your insurance company, fix any issues or problems you may have, and they do it all with a smile on their faces. I hope I don’t need body work on my car again anytime soon, but if I do, I will definitely bring it here.

I wouldn't go anywhere else! Bobby and Shernita moved mountains for me and worked with my insurance company to get me the best deal possible. He went above and beyond and worked really hard to even get me a rental car when my insurance company was running behind on approvals. They did a perfect job on my car. This shop is top notch, by far the best I have ever dealt with. Denis (the owner/painter) is remarkable and Bobby (estimator /customer service) is very friendly and professional, kept in touch with me throughout the repair and paint process of my vehicle. John (tech) quickly and flawlessy tore down and basically rebuilt the front of my car like new. This shop has earned every penny i will ever ha e to spend for a vehicle repair from now on. Very friendly and accommodating. Other auto body shops in charlottesville wouldn’t give me a quote without an appointment, and wouldn’t fit me in for repairs sooner than 1 month. Cville did my quote as a walk in and fit me in within a week. Also worked with me to drop off and pick up my vehicle outside of normal business hours. Estimate was cheaper and work was performed more quickly than quoted by other shops. Finished product looks as good as new, and to top it off they cleaned the inside of my vehicle better than a detail service I recently paid for. I would recommend this establishment to everyone.
