This fall we had to undertake a significant home exterior project after large tree branches fell on our house during a tornado - destroying our house and separate back garage. The damage was extensive, and the process of dealing with the insurance agency and mortgage lender was incredibly challenging. However, Al from Custom One Exteriors who we hired for the repairs, made the experience much more manageable. From the initial assessment to the final touches, the contractors were professional, efficient, and empathetic to our situation. They worked tirelessly to restore our home, ensuring that every detail was addressed. Despite the hurdles with the insurance and mortgage companies, Al at Custom One kept us informed and supported through throughout the entire process - couldn’t have done it without him! The quality of their work exceeded our expectations. The new exterior looks fantastic, and we feel confident in the durability and craftsmanship of the materials. We are grateful for their dedication and highly recommend their services to anyone in need of home exterior projects… Especially in the aftermath of a natural disaster and working with a difficult insurance agency.

I’ll start by saying that it was a long process with my insurance company. They didn’t want to cover the cost my roof and fought tooth and nail to avoid it. Chad was an AWESOME communicator and used every tool at his disposal to back them in a corner and rightfully cover the cost of my roof. I believe most people would have given up after being told “no” so many times but we were diligent and we stayed on top of them and held them accountable for covering this claim. I couldn’t be happier with Custom One’s work that was performed, it was very quick and when it was done they cleaned up very well. I don’t know how many representatives/sales people this company has, but I’m sure glad Chad was my guy throughout the process. Should I ever have issues again, I’ll definitely be using him! His compassionate heart and savvy business acumen were evident when he fought with me so valiantly and with principle in opposition to the insurance company who originally declined to pay the full cost of the replacement roof. His wisdom and understanding of insurance policies and guidelines, laws, Minnesota state codes and the entire process of negotiating settlement was evident and admirable as we attained the full value for replacement of the entire roof.

My new roof is gorgeous! The work done was exceptional and with conscientious craftsmanship. It was done timely, carefully and respectfully. The cleanup was thorough and Chad himself came to inspect both the work and the cleanup upon completion. I’ve have never had more thoughtful, considerate, excellent and intentional contracted work done for my home that I’ve lived in for 44 years. The roof and fascia replacement project completed by Custom One Exteriors was outstanding and superior from the first greeting to the final handshake. I overwhelmingly, strongly recommend Chad and his company and endorse the company’s work wholeheartedly.

Custom One was great to work with! End product is just what I wanted…and adds so much light to my home!! Everyone was prompt and so easy to work with!!

Replaced insulation. The installers were efficient, cleaned, and vacuumed the attic before installing new blowed in insulation. Everything was cleaned up spic and span. Very pleased.

I contacted Custom One Exteriors after a previous contractor was no longer able to do our deck replacement, based on seeing some of their previous work. Chad Christensen was great to work with from the first interaction, and provided updates in a timely manner throughout the project, even when issues came up. I would highly recommend COE to anyone looking at an exterior project.

Recently had a window replaced by Custom One Exteriors and was very pleased with the result! Jeff and his team were easy to work with, explaining the plan and process in detail to put us at ease. Everyone who assisted us showed up on time and were timely in their responses. They even went the extra mile to match our other window trim for a seamless replacement. Wouldn't hesitate have them install more Andersen windows for us in the future!

Custom One Renovations came through in a big way for us. After a major hail storm, we were unsuccessful in getting our claim taken seriously. Not only did Chad from Custom one get us the attention we needed, but also held the adjusters hand to get the claim processed properly. He worked for months in the negotiating process with little help from us. During the construction process, he was also very active in seeing the project come to a close. We interviewed a handful of vendors for our roof and siding repair and Custom One Exteriors far exceeded expectations. Chad took all the guess work out of the project and supported us throughout the claims process with the insurance company. He frequently checked in on the project and answered all of our questions. The quality of the materials used was also important to us and we could not be happier with how the roof and siding turned out.

I wanted to wait to review until after the new roof survived a winter season but that never really arrived this year! I would like to commend Chad and his team at Custom One Exteriors for the high quality of work performed and for the excellent communication throughout the whole process. Another appreciated facet of our interactions was having Chad assist with the insurance claim from wind/hail damage. After work was performed, the clean up of work areas around house and yard was thorough (my next door neighbor used a different company and found nails everywhere including in his car tires ). Excellent communication after work was done continued even months after completion. I will be recommending Custom One to any friends and neighbors who are in need of roof replacement.
