We first came into contact with Adam Forsyth (owner of Core Value Const.) in Late 2022. He came out and provided us with an estimate to complete about 5000sf of roofing. 85% duro last (flat) and 15% architectural shingle. We accepted the proposal shortly thereafter. It took about 12 months before work commenced on site but we were not in a huge rush as the ONLY leak we had was coming in through the garage and it was minor. By January 2024 the work had been "completed" and full payment was remitted to Adam. Since then we have had nothing but major problems (see photos). We have major leaks coming in through 3 different places now on the interior of our home. I promptly notified Adam of this as soon as a big rainfall had arrived. I was placing buckets as it would come in and drip on desks, computers, and hardwood floors, in addition to damaging drywall and ceilings and running down walls. For over a year this went on and Adam first tried sending his crew out where they tried putting white caulking over black mastic tar as a fix. This did not work. Then he said it was our chimney cap ( we had this inspected by a mason who said that was impossible and the leaks were coming in far away from this spot). He then sent his guys out to place tarps over those problem areas. He said this should prove that it is the cap and not my work. This cleared up the issue temporarily but about 6 months of tarps on roof one blew over our HVAC exhaust and luckily with it being new it tripped a safety sensor and shut off. After having the HVAC company come out and point out problem I went up to move tarps on snowy roof to get heat working again. Fell in the process but at least we had heat. I again contacted Adam who sent out a third party company unrelated to him who said that the water that would leak into buckets during heavy rain was simply condensation and not covered under warranty. This same song and dance continued for about 18 months in hopes that Adam would remedy leaks that arose that never existed in our home before his work. Things came to a close as he simply began ignoring any communication. Unfortunately we have decided to begin obtaining new quotes now from other roofers to fix all of the leaks that are damaging home and other parts of house. As these have exceeded $7,000 dollars we have never used a lawyer before but are being recommended that small claims will cap at $7,000 in remedies. If you have made it to this point in this long review of "core values" you are probably in the market for a new roof. My recommendation is look anywhere else but here. We will begin reporting to BBB and State Attorney General site and would urge others with same experience to do so but unfortunately Adam would not stop the water from entering our home. By the way the other reviews in here appear to be either other roofing buddies or Adam himself so I would still be wary of star rating.

**Update since Core Value response below: Ventilation was never installed. The repairs that were made included tarps that can be seen in the photos above, and when it rains and literally comes through the ceiling/drywall above. Not a venting issue but simply a leaking roof.

The membrane of a roof top deck failed & Adam quickly diagnosed the issue & meticulously repaired & replaced the membrane, insulation & support beams. He responded quickly when the issue first developed & had a crew out to repair in a matter of days & when completed there was no mess left behind. Adam is an elite roofing & insulation contractor whom I highly recommend.
