Wow! Family Roofing is the Best! After the big hail storm in Colorado, there were a lot of companies going door to door.

A family member told me about Family Roofing. So I called and made an appointment for an inspection. Nick was on time. The quote was extremely reasonable.

I was contacted by Brian with the details of the project. I have solar panels, the Insurance company didn't add to the repairs. Brian assured me they would work it out. (They did!)

The roof looks great. The solar panels were placed exactly the way they were. Cleaned up everything.

The project was GREAT, until the insurance company didn't want to pay for ALL the repairs.

I can't speak highly enough of this company. My roof was damaged by hail during summer of 2024, and initially, I had a lot of difficulty getting my insurance company to acknowledge the damage. Colorado Family roofing worked with my insurer and got my damage claim back on track. After helping with that, they scheduled and completed my roof replacement competently and in a timely way. I was very impressed by their professionality and courteousness, and also by their excellent communication before, during, and after the entire process. I cannot say enough good about Colorado Family Roofing and Francisco's roofing crew. After a big hailstorm we were inundated with roofing companies stopping by and Jason went above and beyond to talk to us and assess the damage. He was the most thorough person who came out, he took pictures, shared them with us and noticed damage that we had not. Then, we continued to have great interactions with Jason. He is one of the most tireless, thorough and cheerful people I have worked with. I was there when he worked with the insurance adjuster and he was professional, friendly, unassuming and yet pointed out things that were important to look at. After we started work, there were additional things that came up and my insurance agent worked with Jason really well. Jason got a LOT more approved than we had ever thought might happen and maintained a great relationship with our insurance agent in the process. When we encountered a problem after Jason (as salesperson) had moved on and turned the problem over to the project manager, Jason was right there to help us fix it and fix it quickly.

We were also SO impressed with Francisco and his crew who came out to do the roof repairs. Wow. Francisco did a great job to communicate with us about everything that was going on, and every member of the crew was outstanding. We had a huge job...our house roof and the roofs for three big outbuildings. It was hard work for many days in weather that wasn't always great including a lot of cold days. They worked so hard every day...every single day...and were so careful with their work. Our metal roofs came in huge pieces and they were meticulous in handling them carefully and placing them just right. We had one day where we got weather in the evening and even though they weren't there that day, they came back and made sure to carefully tarp the part of the roof that was not done. We had high winds and the tarp held beautifully. They also really interacted well with each other and were so friendly and helpful with us. When I had to back our pickup out through a tight space, one of the guys immediately came to help and guided me right through the tight space. When we asked to keep some of the metal from the roof, they immediately helped us measure to determine the right amount and then unloaded the pieces we wanted to keep into a careful pile. They cleaned up every scrap of everything every day and when my husband went to look for a small piece of scrap metal from the roof (thinking there would be something somewhere) he couldn't find anything anywhere. We hit a fairly substantial setback at one point and they took it all in stride...no one was upset they all just worked to figure out how to move forward. I wish they could be our crew for any work we need to have done ever.

Finally all of our dealings with Richard at the Colorado Family Roofing office have been delightful. He is also friendly and upbeat every time I call (and I've called a lot). There have been a number of issues he's needed to follow up on and every time I get an email or call back from him promptly with exactly the information I need. He's been a wonderful point of contact for any question I've had and I've felt confident knowing that if I reach out to him whatever I need will be handled well and quickly.

Nick was great in giving an estimate and scheduling his appointments. Everyone communicated well and was friendly. The roofers did a great job and cleaned up after themselves.

I was referred to Colorado Family Roofing from a friend to get my 3rd estimate for a new roof (non-insurance claim) to replace the Woof roof I installed in 1985. I was told to connect with Nick Wallis. Nick was very prompt, responsive and very professional, as was everyone at CFR thru the whole process including Richard, the Project Manager. After agreeing to the quote, Nick met us on site with actual roofing samples, not just a brochure to help us visualize how this different shingle colors and new gutters would look. We chose the 50-year Class 4 Owens-Corning Flex Shingle system. The installation crew did a wonderful job. This roof was 42 squares,10 men removed the old roof materials and installed the new roof materials in 1 day with very qualified craftsmen. When I inspected the installation the next day, in the day light, the installation was highly professional and very well done and the cleanup was spot clean, you could tell that the roof was removed...I have been a Mechanical contractor for over 40 years, utilizing roofing companies to assist with our projects and Colorado Family Roofing I would put CFR at the top of the list, very trustworthy company to do business with, I give them a A+.

Professional, punctual, honest, integrity, quality, attention to details, caring. When it comes to roofing don't skimp on materials. My neighbor replaced his roof 3 years ago and went with the cheapest bid. When the hail storm on July 20, 2024 hit, his roof was totaled and had to be replaced again. Too bad, he should have chosen Colorado Family Roofing and he wouldn't have to worry about it for a long, long time.

Over the Summer our roof sustained some hail damage, being original and 26 years old it was time to replace it. For weeks the neighborhood was crawling with numerous roofing companies leaving flyers everyday on doors and signs popping up in every other yard it seemed. Being weary of the vultures I reached out to Colorado Family Roofing because I remembered seeing their trucks at my kid’s schools over the years during drop off/pick up. They had kids of similar age, all their vehicles looked nice and they had great reviews so that stuck with me. Nick came out, explained what to expect, took numerous photos and promptly followed up with an estimate. Once the job was scheduled, there was good communication with Richard and then Cory on the jobsite, the crew worked fast and they were in and out on a nice November day. Nick followed up as well as Brian making sure we were happy with everything. I had been watching houses throughout the neighborhood getting roofs and what company was used and how they appeared afterwards. We all have to use the same color shingle, but none have upgraded ridge venting, in fact they just reused the old vents. CFR even upgrades the plumbing vents with GAF Master Flow pipe boots, I haven’t seen those elsewhere. In all the end result is not only a nice looking roof, but the added flashing, upgraded venting, underlayment, Class 4 shingles, 20 year hail warranty and 50 year warranty gives peace of mind. I would highly recommend Colorado Family Roofing to anyone.

This was the first time replacing my roof via an insurance claim so I wasn't sure what to expect or the process. Nick Wallis was great! Seriously though, they use industry upgrades as their standard materials and their ability to do quality work in a short amount of time is impressive. The cleanup was so good you would not know anyone was ever there. In addition, their process is transparent and efficient, so you will not have any issues with insurance or out of pocket expenses. I recently had my roof replaced by Colorado Family Roofing and just wanted to say how wonderful the experience was and how delighted I am with the results. I now have a beautiful roof with Class 4 high-impact shingles and seamless gutters all around my house, all expertly installed, and all it cost me was the deductible on my homeowner's insurance!

My house was impacted by hail last spring, but at first I thought there was nothing wrong because I didn't see any leaks inside. Shortly after that though, it was obvious that many of my neighbors were having their roofs replaced. It sounded like a woodpecker convention out there! I called one of the roofers in Longmont and he stopped by, took pictures, and communicated with my insurance company. He then told me that insurance companies will only cover Class 3 shingles and that if I wanted Class 4 shingles, which are the most impervious to hail, that I would have to come up with the difference. He also said that insurance would only cover the one strip of gutter that was damaged and that if I wanted all my gutters replaced, that I would have to come up with the difference in cost for that also. I told him that I wanted a second opinion and he told me that there was “no need” to get one since every other roofing company would tell me the same thing.

I then spoke with several of my neighbors to learn about their experiences and, sure enough, what I was told about roofing companies in this area was largely true. That night as I was going through the mail, I found a Valpak envelope that contained a coupon from Colorado Family Roofing. It offered a $1,000 rebate, a free class 4 shingle upgrade, a 50 year non-prorated extended and transferable warranty for materials and labor, and a 20 year hail and wind protection plan. I immediately went online and read all 49 of their 5-star reviews (there aren't any other kind for Colorado Family Roofing!), examined their website, and pored over owner Brian Barnes' ebook entitled, ”The Roofing Industry Secrets Revealed – Everything you MUST know PRIOR to hiring a roofer” - quite an illuminating read for sure.

I called Brian Barnes, he provided an aerial quote, drove down to climb up on my roof to see if it needed to be replaced and then he spoke with me. Colorado Family Roofing is located in Loveland, but they work along the entire Front Range. Brian is a Colorado native. I found him to be a very easy-going guy who is not at all pushy. He answered all my questions and I was ready to go.

The crew showed up when they said they would and worked tirelessly to complete my roof as promised. Plus, they replaced all the gutters around my house with seamless ones and not just the one strip that was damaged. The project manager took pictures throughout the day and forwarded them to me so that I could see the work as it was being completed. And Brian and his assistants dealt directly with my insurance company so I didn't have to. All this for just the cost of my deductible! They did a stellar job on the installation and that combined with outstanding materials gives me tremendous peace of mind.

Homeowners have one year after a hail storm to file a claim with their insurance companies. If there is damage and a claim is not filed within that one year and then the house needs to be sold for some reason, an inspection will reveal damage to the roof and the homeowner will then be on the hook to cover the entire cost of replacement out of pocket. I'd urge anyone to contact Brian Barnes at Colorado Family Roofing to stop by to let you know how your roof looks. It costs you nothing to do this. If a replacement is needed, Brian and his team will contact the insurance company and work with them on your behalf. There is no upsell with this company. Brian guarantees that anything insurance does not cover, he will. And he has!

Colorado Family Roofing replaced my whole roof and gutter system due to both old age and a hailstorm which created permanent damage to both systems. They were very organized, customer friendly, technically competent and did everything that I asked of them. They kept me informed from day one when we first met, all the way to final billing, written warranty and a spotless clean up job done on my yard at project completion. They also included standard services that no other roofer offered. They flew a drone over my house and gave me a preliminary cost estimate on the spot. They added 4 large roof vents near the roof ridge line which will be very helpful in lowering the heat in my attic and reducing the A/C load on my HVAC system in the summer. They included Class IV shingles and a signed certificate so I could get a reduction on my homeowners insurance bill because I now have certified hail resistant shingles.

I can't talk up Brian and Colorado Family Roofing enough. We had bad hail damage and needed the entire roof replaced. Brian came out quickly to do an inspection. We spent time choosing shingles and colors, and soon I was on the schedule.

I felt very well taken care of. The company used all upgraded materials-- shingles, ventilation, and gutters. Instead of the poor, base quality of the Builder-Grade materials we started with, we got class 4 shingles, better vents, and powder-coated (vs painted) gutters and downspouts. The quality was evident.

Brian's teams were fast and professional. There was communication back and forth the whole time. When there was a delay due to storms, I knew it and could plan.

A huge bonus was that Colorado Family Roofing stuck to the insurance quote. We were promised that they would stay within the quote and never charge more than the insurance would pay. This was absolutely true! I got updated, better quality materials all included in the job and all within the insurance payout.

Since I don't know much about roofing, I needed a lot of explanation about the process and materials. I felt well taken care of and I trusted the teams to do the job right. I can recommend this company to anyone out there who needs roofing work, no question.

This company is amazing! Brian Barnes (owner) fought hard for 100% of our roof to be replaced after this past spring & summer hail damage. Our insurance only wanted to cover 49% of it…ridiculous! The crew was professional, kind, and cleaned up really well. They worked tirelessly through over 90 degrees temps.
Some plant damage is expected with a total roof replacement & a few of our plants did get damaged but….2 days later Brian Barnes sent a hand written thank you letter along with $100 Home Depot gift card apologizing for the unavoidable damage. Not only that……he called me at work to make sure we were satisfied with the work!!!!

I was amazed with Brian's presentation from start to finish and their costs are much lower then other estimates i received but the quality of their materials is top notch. His reviews are all 5 Star, also. And they havent even started the work and theres no doubt in my mind the end result will be perfection....well the roof is on and the gutters installed and the trim and fascia painted! My home is much cooler with the added vents and Brian went above and beyond on my misunderstanding of the house trim. I am beyond thankful for the hard work he and his crew did!

Brian and the Colorado Family Roofing team were really good to work with on our roof replacement. Brian and the team supported us in conversations with our insurance to be sure we got a quality roof replacement that met all local codes. Their job site was tidy and clean, the disposal of old materials was very efficient and new roof was attractive and affordable. They did a great job installing a metal product that fits our long range needs. Overall, we had a really great experneice with this contractor.

The owner did an amazing job in being responsive and helpful in dealing with insurance. He was able to get roof fixed in a timely fashion and when actual work exceeded initial estimate he said that was on them for not scoping properly and not my problem.
