Colby and his crew are very easy to work with. I had been quoted $950 for a roof shingle repair (have lifetime shingles ) by another company, who kept postponing "fixing it" and thank goodness, I called Colby and he said it was not needed....it was just the flashing that needed to be replaced, which he did and very reasonable. I later had storm water problem from neighbor who kept diverting his water to my property. It flooded my basement, causing much damage, ruined my 76 oz. Mohawk lifetime carpet (water damage came in thru my basement windows) and had to tear all out and replace with porcelain tile. Colby installed pvc drain pipes underground from my gutters to control water to go directly into storm drain. They did a fantastic job. I could not recommend them any higher! They are the best.

I had a very good experience with Colby’s Home Repair & highly recommend them. They repaired the fascia board & replaced the drip edge in a timely manner with acceptable cost. The two workers completing the job were very professional & courteous going above & beyond to blow the leaves off my driveway & deck! I would would definitely use them again!

They quickly repaired a hanging gutter and instslled a new downspout. They were very professional. I would use them again if needed.

I contacted Colby about a very small job that nobody else was interested in doing for me. A single piece of siding had come off, and the job was so small no one else thought it was worth their time. Colby sent a crew member out the day after I talked to him- even though they were already busy- and made sure it was taken care of for me. I'm so grateful and will absolutely call again. Very long story short...my initial contact with this company was in May 2022. I was referred to them for roof damage repair. A representative came out quickly to inspect the damaged area. He made a temporary repair.

As of August 2022, after many calls and texts and "I'll call you tomorrow's" that never happened, the full repair had not been done.

I have since had the repair completed by a different company.

*EDT 9/9/2022* I have spoken with Colby regarding my experience. He left me feeling reassured that this is not how he likes to conduct business and will work with his team to make improvements.

Based on my conversation I would definitely consider using his services in the future. Star rating updated from 1 to 4.

Colby and his guys are great to work with. I called about getting a price to replace my roof and Colby sent someone out the very next day. His pricing is good and the quality of work his guys did looks amazing. His crew was able to tear off my old shingles and replace my entire roof in one day. His crew worked very hard and also cleaned up after themselves very well! I would highly recommend Colby and his team to do work for anyone!

Colby scheduled a quote from a range of 9AM to 12PM. They never showed up, I called at 1:00 PM to cancel the appointment. They called at 1:30 and stated they are on there way, but had to stop in another town which was 20 miles away. Bad enough they could not commit to a specific time, but gave me this huge range and missed it regardless. They need to understand and respect people's time and time people have to take away from work to meet an appointment.

RESPONSE TO OWNER AFTER HIS REPLY:

Mr Colby, I respect your response. It was professional and courteous. I have had 3 x other contractors and bids on the job, each of which showed up 5 minutes early to set time that was scheduled. Joey was the one who took and scheduled the call. I do not have my phone with me today at work. But please have someone reach out to me tonight after 5:00 PM and we can schedule an appointment. I am not interested in a time range, but a specific time. Thank you in advance.

Very prompt in coming out to measure for quote. Promised quote in two days. Called on 3rd business day asking for an update on the quote. Explaining I understand things get busy. Received quote few days later. It was routed to my SPAM folder and I missed receiving it. After leaving review. Received follow up phone to insure I received the quote. Great customer service. My apologies for failing to check SPAM folder.

Over a week and not a word. Does not instill confidence that they will deliver if they cant just follow up on a phone call.

Called Colby on Friday to get some weather damage repaired. He sent his guys early on Saturday morning to take care of my repair. They did a great job. Very responsive to what I needed and gave me a great price as well. I would recommend their work.

Colby's company repaired some of my siding and put in an exterior vent cover. Colby is very easy to work with and they did an excellent job. I would highly recommend them and will definitely use them next time I need work done.

Called Colby's and got an estimate for new 6" gutters and gutter guards, after being recommended by a family member. They were the second company to give me an estimate and we're much lower then the first. They scheduled my work within a week. There was one delay in the timeframe due to weather but communication was great. Crew showed up on time and work was completed quicker then I expected. I inspected the work before payment and was very pleased. Very nice crew. Very Professional. They cleaned up before they left. Would recommend and I will use again in the future if needed.

Exceed every expectations I could have thought of, great price, great work very personably when dealing with Colby and staff defiantly shares a passion with what he does and take care of his customers. Looking forward to have Colby and staff doing more work in the near future!

Update 9/1/2022
The roof is still leaking in the same two places. At this point we have resigned ourselves to a loss of thousands of dollars. This home was my mother's dream home out in the country, it was supposed to be a peaceful spot to live out the rest of her life. This brand new roof has turned her dream into a nightmare.

Update: Colby has contacted us and sent someone out to repair the roof. He has been much easier to contact and has contacted us after the repair to explain to us what repair the person he sent out did. We are waiting for a good rain to see if the roof still leaks and will update this post and rating again afterward.

My Mother hired Colby to put a new metal roof on a home she was redoing. He sent 2 men out to replace the roof, they took twice as long as promised and the roof has leaked every year since. It is almost impossible to get anyone on the phone in the office. When we did speak to Crystal she said Colby would call us back and we never heard anything. We did finally get them out to repair the leak a couple of years ago and another appointment for them to come out to repair it again this year but they didn't show up. Their excuse was that they had lost a full months worth of appointments on their calendar. After more calls they did send one man out to look at the roof again months ago, he told us we could not hire another company to fix the roof or the warranty would be voided, we haven't heard anything since. We still can not get them to return calls after leaving messages. If you read the reviews this is a normal thing for this company, also check the BBB. Now, after a 4 year wait, we are stuck paying another company the same amount to fix it correctly before we can continue the work on the house.

Im writing to share my entire experience from beginning to end. I contacted Colby’s for a estimate quote for an entire roof. The sales rep was newer, but very friendly. My fiancé told him about the damages we needed repaired, a skylight removed, and wanted a total roof replacement. They gave us a price of $7200. We also got a quote for $1350 for gutters. His price was higher than two others we had gotten, but we went with them based on reviews on Facebook. We got the roof scheduled quickly, which I was thankful for. However, I did have to stay on top messaging to get details of timeframes etc. The roofers came out on a Friday to start the job. About mid-day I asked my dad to stop by to check the work and let me know how it was going. My dad stated that they were doing no repairs, that they removed the old shingles and were just laying new ones on top. I tried calling Colby went to voicemail, so I contacted Crystal in the office. She is very friendly and let me know Colby would contact me. My dad told the roofers of the repairs and they left to go get lumber. I had to leave work early because I was not sure of the work being done. I went home and spoke with the foreman, about repairs. He knew nothing. So they re-take off the tar paper and started repairs. They didnt not bring enough material (they had two sheets of plywood and a few boards). They continued to work and put the rotten wood in a pile behind my home. As the sun started to set, they started putting paper down around the skylight instead of working to remove it. I asked the foreman if he was taking out, he told me he didnt know. They had to contact Colby again, at that point I asked Colby to call me. He tried sweet talking me about his warranty, his work, and so on. I was angry, but let it go. They didnt not finish Friday so they said they would be out on Saturday at 8am. No one came till 9. They finished the yard and halfway cleaned up. They left a huge pile of trash in my driveway and said someone would be by in two hours to pick up. That never happened. Sunday goes by. Monday I contacted Crystal and she told me they would get before end of day, that never happened. I contacted again on Tuesday and they finally picked up. There are still nails everywhere on my property. Then after examining the work with my insurance inspector, the skylight was not repaired correctly, the were still damaged areas, and the roof vents were not secure. I contacted Colby again and told him the issues. He tried to assure me it would be okay, as is, but it was not. Finally, he sent the sales guy out to finish and correct the work. The sales guy said he had quit there, had to pay for the materials to fix the issues from his own pocket all because he was sorry for what we went thru. The whole thing was just nothing but miscommunication, stress, and unprofessional. We cancelled our gutter order and will not do business again. I feel like we got a $3500 job for $7000. Om top of that they took our leftover material which we technically paid for. The roof looks good for most part, just hope it lasts.

I called Colby's Home Repairs when one of my skylights started leaking! He was able to come out the very next day and look at it. Colby was extremely professional and took great care to ensure my skylight would be leak free. I will definitely be using his services again in the future! I have a 100 year old 2 story barn with a tin roof that lost a panel in our recent high winds. Crew came out and did a quick repair on a tricky situation. Very impressed!

Colby is awesome! After many failed attempts to get a many company's and individuals to come and check a leak at a fire station, Colby answered the call. He came out on the day that he mentioned he would and handled our issue. He was very nice and respectful the entire time and seemed to be very knowledgeable in what he does. I recommend him!

We hired Colby to install a new metal roof estimated 4-5 day job he said, the entire process took 3 months and 12 days, finally finishing at 9am unannounced on a Sunday morning. (we did decide to put plywood on 1/4 of the way through but 3.5 months?!)

Not entirely pleased, might have kept his word to complete things we asked but the job was not at all up to our expectations. We are walking away with a big pile of regret take our advice....keep looking.

(Colby, the 4 inches of vented soffit to complete the job looks great with the preexisting row of solid soffit :-/ )

Does not live up to the hype I've seen in reviews online including FB, Google and the BBB which was all bad on BBB. Seems as though he may have pleased customers. Seems to be a smooth talker yet over doing it. Wanting to beat another quote and take the job yet doesn't have the ability to communicate on seemingly an educated level. Tries to over promise yet doesn't deliver. 1 try with me and that's it. On to the next deserving company fit for the job. Good luck to everyone else.

Gave this company a try. Made a phone call and finally got a call back. The first time frame and date was not upheld so I gave them another chance. That of course turned into another excuse. Seems like this company is lacking professionalism or perhaps even help. A word to the wise, it's better to shop around.

They did an excellent job cleaning our gutters. It was reasonable ($60) and the guys afterwards blew the leaves out of our driveway and porch which they didn't have to do. Recommend!

Such an amazing company. I was in lowes when I ran into Thomas and Chris and without hesitation upon hearing my problems with the gutter system my father had they handed me a card and told me all about colbys.. sounded to good to be true but something told me to give it a try. I called and got my father set up with a full gutter install. They are very fast for only two workers. I had them all of 3 hours before almost 200 feet of gutter had been slammed up and still are some very neat and clean gutters. I've had honestly zero problems with them and it's been months, along with nasty weather, not a single leak just as Thomas promised. Colby (the young owner) was also very nice although I didn't talk with him much. The crew was chalked with manners was very clean and professional my mother was in love. Very happy with the work done for us. If you have any questions please contact Colby's Home Repair asap. They do free estimates and they are very fast with a response. But are also super busy and doesn't seem to have enough staff for the work load, but that's what happens when you do quality work. These guys scheduled us for an appointment time that they did not uphold. I didn't find out they would be a "no show" until I called them. After I called, then they told me they must cancel. They rescheduled us for another appointment; once again, they never showed up or called. My wife then called and sent a text to attempt a rescheduled appointment; however, once again, they did not call us back. However I gave them one star because when I met the crew they were very friendly and even cleaned out one of my gutters while doing the estimate.

Colby came out right before Hurricane storm to repair my leaking roof. Very pleasant and professional; got job done quickly with a very fair price. Happy and dry customer.

Cobly's Home Repairs had the best service I've received since I moved to the area 4 years ago. I called with a major worry about my gutters that were damaged during a storm. With Florence heading to the area, I was concerned about the gutters not properly draining. I called Colby at 8am and he had a team at my house and the gutters repaired by 4pm the same day. I could not give a higher recommendation to anyone! We were impressed with Colby from the moment we met him. It's unusual and refreshing to meet a young man who enjoys his job so much! He did an excellent job for us, in a timely manner and for a very reasonable price!

I had a recent injury and was unable to fix a recent issue with my gutters due to a broken foot and wrist. Colby came out within a few hours and fixed the issue for a reasonable price. I would use them again for other services I need.

I only had a few minor repairs and a few patch jobs needed, and considering what I needed wasnt a major job or a rush, these guys still worked with my unpredictable traveling schedule, worked me in between stops of their bigger jobs, took the time to answer every question, and took the time to check a few extra things before leaving the house and charged less than a few other big names on pricing while leaving seamless, clean repairs.

Like most people, before making a call I read the reviews, and kept an open mind that there will always be someone who isn't satisfied with anything. I'll let everyone know that they were the first in line returning my call. It's up to each individual to form their own opinion of how a business or service provider meets their own respective needs. My expectations were more than met, by his crew and himself.

When its time to replace my roof in its entirety, they'll be getting that phone call too.

These guys are excellent. They are quick to respond to text messages. They not only replaced my shingles but repaired water damages in one day. They came at 8am and didn’t leave until the job was done. (7:30pm) we worked with several of their employees, all being over the top friendly. My children asked them a ton of questions and they seemed happy to answer all of them. My one year old ran all over the place and they were very patient with him. My roof is beautiful and my ceiling looks brand new. They also cleaned up very well. One employee was on his hands and knees cleaning up every speck that fell on my floor. Excellent service and excellent prices!

Probably the worst service I have ever experienced. I hired them to fix a leak in my gutters, but the repair failed. After dozens of calls, promises, and missed appointments, they still haven't come out to complete the job. It has been months, and still nothing. If you want something done right, either hire someone else, or plan on chasing them down for a long time.

Tried to get Colby's home repairs to perform some work for me at my house. Tried calling the number listed on the website, but did not get an answer, and his voicemail was full. I sent Colby a text explaining what I needed and he responded asking for more details. After responding, I could not get Colby to text me back. I moved on to another company.

The most professional, down to earth, honest companies to work with. I've called Colby twice for shingle repair and water damage. Both times someone was out here within the day to help. The best in town!

I had Colby to replace a rubber roof on my porch 2 years ago and they done a great job! Just recently I had a roofing leak around a rubber boot at a pole and they came out within a few days and took care of the leak. They are very reasonable with prices and easy to work with! I defiantly recommend Colby's roofing for all your roofing needs.

We needed some insurance work done on our roof and Colby was recommended. He had done some work for our son. Of all the others who came to do an estimate, Colby did the most comprehensive review and actually went up and took detailed pictures of what was wrong and what needed to be done. Absolutely courteous throughout, he explained how he would do it and everything.

On the day they started, his crew arrived on time, and immediately went to work. They went over everything and when done, they left no trace that they ever were here. No trash, no junk shingles, just a clean, professional job. We are really, really pleased with Colby and his entire team. Colby and his crew did a great job for us in replacing our roof. He replaced the main gutter at no extra charge. The weather and other work made keeping to the original schedule challenging, but Colby did a good job communicating with us. We are very pleased overall with the job he did and the cost was better than the other estimates we obtained.

I called Colby to repair a couple shingles on my very steep roof (probably 12 on 12). Colby stopped by within a couple days to get a sample and matched the shingles perfectly. His dad Jay came out a couple days later to do the repair and did an excellent job. Fixed a couple places I hadn't even noticed and gave me a letter for insurance describing issues he found with the original shingles. I could not be happier with these guys and appreciate them helping me with even a small job on a very steep roof! I'll definitely give these guys a call next time I need help.

These guys are 100% professional, timely, and most importantly they keep an open line of communication before and during the the entire process. The grounds of my home remained clean and debris free of old nails, old shingle pieces, and wood shavings which is VERY important to me as I have a 1 year old who loves the outside. I highly recommend them for roofing and gutter work to anyone!

Colby and crew replaced our Roof, Gutters and downspouts on home and garage. All were finished in a professional and timely manner. We were satisfied with all work accomplished.

Colby's took care of some gutter work that had been needed for some time. The price was very competitive and Colby has character, which is short these days. When there was hitch, I shot him a call and he cleared it up right away. The holiday threw a curve for finishing job but Colby was honest and took care of it asap. No harm no foul. He made my wife very happy with the quality of the work and me with the price. I will use again. I love standing in garage and listening to rain running through my new clear gutters! I had Colby come out to fix a problem I had with a gutter. I gave him the option of repairing or replacing it. He decided to repair the existing which was quite less expensive. He did an excellent job, and this also tells me that he must be an honest person. I think a lot would have done the replacement a much higher price. He does all types of repairs around the home, so do yourself a favor and give him a call!!

September 22, 2014: Colby replaced the gutters on one side of our home as the original gutters leaked and did not drain well. He did an excellent job. We also had him include the gutter guards which are much better than the guards we had. Very professional crew, polite, clean-up, and attitude. Did the job when he said they would. Very competitive pricing with excellent service. We are also having Colby do additional projects. Highly recommend.

We needed some gutters replaced after the big snowstorm of 2014 tore off the old ones. Colby offered the best estimate and so we decided to go with him. Sure glad we did! The team was professional, fast, and thorough. Colby noticed that our old guards were in need of updating without tearing off the old gutters so that saved us money, too. I was impressed that Colby was honest, hardworking, polite, professional, and best of all--unlike many general handymen we have encountered in NC--fully insured.
