Had a crack in one of the ABS pipes in the crawlspace. Food waste and grease were spilling into the crawlspace. What a mess! If you have tenants, please advise them not to dump grease and food down drains. Had to file an insurance claim. We were given a few companies to choose from and even though it was our choice to choose anyone we wanted, we decided to work with CMC Construction. My conversation with Tim was great! He was very informative, explained their process, and got the ball rolling to get our crawlspace cleaned up and fixed. Now, the area looks great! A big thank you to Daniel and Jay! They were the team working in the crawlspace and did such an awesome job! You will not be disappointed with the work CMC Construction provides!

We had extensive water damage in our home on multiple levels. CMC handled everything professionally and timely. We couldn't be happier with the results.

CMC has been helping with an extensive water issue. Their team has been timely, responsive and thorough with each visit..there have been a few. Tim has been very helpful in all aspects.

I contracted CMC to do repairs on my home that resulted from water damage remediation. The work needing done was extensive and included replacing insulation, sheet rock, and pulling up luxury vinyl plank flooring and replacing it.

I worked with Brian as the project manager and can say that both Brian, CMC, and all of their subcontractors were fast, efficient, respectful, and very personable. I appreciate the work they did and their flexibility. When I asked for clear timeframes for arrival and work, due to having to coordinate family and friends to be present at the house when I needed to work, Brian was absolutely on top of it. He would respond within the hour and have answers by EOB (though usually it was less than an hour after his initial response!)

When the time comes for home renovations, if I don’t decide to do them myself, I’ll definitely go back to CMC.

UNRESPONSIVE to the extent of GHOSTING the insurance company and myself and provided an excuse I will not put words to it since unable to know what is 100 percent true, 80 percent true, or 10 percent true. Channeling personal challenges can occur when buying time or blowing off a customer since possibly not enough money to be made and possibly pad the estimate so the insurance company denies the claim and business owner, Jason, can say "did all he could" are my ongoing concerns and my home is still unrepaired and I now need to find someone else not flaky, disinterested, disillusioned, disingenuous, or just not to be involved with on DAY ONE?

A review posted 5 years ago accurately describes current business operations and the same as my ongoing concerns. 24K for a small room and adjoining bathroom with floor damage and removed sheet rock six inches above floor level from a 2 hours toliet flood (clean/not black water) should not be over $24K with hourly supervisor fees added and other weird stuff that common sense says are you trying to get a claim denial? APPARENTLY padding and inflating an estimate and not communicating with the examiner or myself to resolve the estimate disagreements, before anything is done, tells me if you do not want the estimate, bombard it with as much ridiculous billings so as to sabotage the estimate with the insurance company and then blame the insurance company for the failure to agree and get out of the job without looking bad or get bad reviews. I have verified noncommunicative with all and that is a big red flag. Talk is cheap. Action is the merit. I see in review three years ago the workmanship was bad. GOD intervened and helped us avoid bad business practices. Flakes are for cereal and not for construction. Contractors in Alaska can be flaky, lack intergrity, just not worth having any communication with and on a percentage level, are there 30 percent out of all that are truly worth your time and money? Not this business. VERIFIED! Good luck...reviews last forever. I will get my home back but months later, I am mildly pi$$ed off.

Finally, as I review the negative review written three years ago and liked ten times, and the five star reviews that are mostly glowing comments and no specifics, are some of these reviews padding because my experiences match with the NEGATIVE REVIEW three years ago. If you get any unnecessary BS after two weeks of business with this business, PULL THE RIP CORD!

Look back to 5 years ago review. That has most likes. So did the 5 years ago business practices rear itself for me? We are Alaskans, Retired military /Fish and Wildlife and I a Insurance Fraud Investigator. We do good for all. We will reap what we sow. Merit matters. John 3:16 ✝️

We are overjoyed with the experience we had with these fine folks and the work they did. The team was very professional, efficient, and of utmost importance to us, cleaned up behind themselves after every-days work. The ceiling repairs lasted about 4 days and looking up now you can’t see, where on the ceiling , the repair was. Bravo Renée, Pedro and Daniel. Thanks so much!

Cesar, Nick, and Craig showed a bit before 9 to remove wet insulation/vapor barrier/debris from our flooded crawlspace and got straight to work. Very pleasant crew. Cesar confirmed the scope and took pre and post pics. They were conscientious about removing the waste and minimized the yuck through the house.

We appreciate they worked as a team, no foul language, and great attitudes. They finished in a matter of just a few hours without breaks, wrapping up a little into lunchtime.

Please relay my thanks and kudos.

CMC Construction came to our aid when our house took on water this spring. Tim and his crew were incredible. They were here every day on time. They were professional and knowledgeable. They took great care of our home. Tim was amazing helping us deal with the insurance. He answered all my questions, and i had many many questions. He was polite and quick with responding to me. Great communication. I highly recommend CMC construction. They really saved us and made a terrible situation much better. They are a great company and will treat you right. Thanks Tim and crew!

CMC Construction got us squared away quickly and for a great value… the crew was professional, extremely knowledgeable, and responsive to our needs. Would 100% do business with this company again and 100% recommend them to others - both large and small needs!

CMC was able to come in behind an unscrupulous contractor, pickup the mess he made and get the job done. Their communication and expertise with me and my insurance company made the stress of insurance claim and repairs bearable and at times even fun... yes fun. Vicki in accounting was a joy to work with, Tim who oversaw the entire project kept thing moving and managed the insurance company's inquiry and filed all supplement documentation, which in itself could have been its own disaster; Mike and Dan the job site supervisors insured quality work, were focused on my expectations and kept us on schedule, even through the start of Covid despite the lack of building materials. Even a large home project of $80k, the pandemic, shortage of materials, and following a shady contractor couldn't stop them from completing the job to my expectations and that of my insurance company. Thank you CMC and your entire staff!!!!

We had damage from ice damming that encompassed sheet rock, solid wood flooring, window framing and kitchen cabinet damage. CMC was very thorough in the assessment of damage and made sure that all of our losses were reported to insurance properly. The project lead was Dan. His attention to detail was fantastic. I have never had a contractor that was as concerned with making everything right as him. We had a complete kitchen remodel and new wood floor installed in the office. Dan consistently made certain that anything that he did was up to our expectations. It is rare that I have zero complaints about work performed but this is that occasion. Recommend to anyone needing any home remodel work.

We hired CMC for 2 covered flood claim losses and very large projects at our residental rentals. We absolutely cannot reccommend their services for others. Both Tim and Chad are great talkers (and I am sure deep down nice enough people) and are good at making you feel like they take your concerns seriously but in the end there was never any real action behind the words. We trusted when they said they would be there working on X day and time. The projects were constantly late and overdue which, we expected to a degree but not like they were. We started going over for unrelated reasons to find no one at the jobsite on numerous occasions. Once, sure things happen. Twice, not a problem. But it got to the point and happening so often we were feeling flat out lied to. There were so many workmanship issues, which CMC admitted after raising the concerns, were not up to their standards. We finally had to cash out on many items and hire other contractors to complete the work because we no longer had confidence CMC could do it (this was not being picky, it was gross carelessness or unskilled workmanship-thick, raised and rough drywall repair, mismatched paint, chipped flooring, the list goes on.). We asked on one project CMC add can lights in an area there previously were none. We were quoted and had a design done, signed off on it. Walked in one day to find the ceiling put back up and not a single light in place. They had completely forgot the entire project altogether. Another instance, months ahead of time we brought up not wanting them to wait until the last moment to find out if we could use the old carpet as if it did not work, it could cause major delays and disrupt a new signed contract for tenancy (which we only signed because we were told it would absolutely be done by that date and a very real concern since we were already so far behind schedule due to similar issues). We kept being assured it would not be left for last. Days before the job was supposed to be finished at our insistence for an update we are told the old carpet will not work and new carpet would have be ordered. It caused delays and disrupted the new tenant contract. On both projects we would be told countless times the project was complete and to come do a final walk-through. Every time we would walk in only to find unfinished projects, large holes in the walls that were never patched, missed paint, construction debris, etc. We eventually asked Tim if he was even walking through the jobsite himself because we didn't think if he had he would have told us it was done. He admitted all those times that he had not seen it himself. These are just some of the highlights but there is over a year of similar experiences. Then there are all the poor workmanship issues that have arose after the job has been complete in the months down the line. While I am sure they are nice people in other areas, the handling of this business is terrible and we cannot recommend it to others based on our experiences. I wish our experience was as good as the other folks that have written 5-star reviews but it was not. Hopefully this review saves someone else the time, stress, and financial burden we endured by using CMC.

We had a fire almost 1 year ago today. We were 2 weeks from listing the house on the market when the fire occurred. The fire was small but the smoke damaged everything upstairs. CMC was prompt, professional and very responsive. They took and gutted the entire upstairs and restored it into much more than what it was. When we did list it, the first couple to see the house bought it only after 7 hours of being on the market and the price was well in our favor! Special kudos to Dana, the supervisor who always kept us up to speed with what was happening and was reassuring. He also made sure that he made himself available 24x7 if we had any issues. He never let us down. A big thank you to Vickie and Tim in the office who helped to make sure the paper work was correct and did everything in their power to make things easy for us. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being outstanding) I would give CMC an 11.5 for going above and beyond. The house was absolutely stunning.
Thank you all for your help and support. Chad should be very proud of the team he has built.

Wonderful company! Very helpful and considerate staff. I'll always recommend them to others. They came to my fire damaged home and boarded it up right after the firemen left very late at night.
