They came on time and finished the roof in 2 days and the cleanup was immaculate!! So if you’re looking for a roof this is the company to call!!

Storm Proof Roofing was an excellent choice for our roofing situation. The former owner's DIY work left us with some challenging roofline concerns. After completing a substantial renovation to our 50-year old home, the roof was the last remaining major item needing to be addressed. Multiple roofing companies provided us estimates but would not deal with some of the challenges we were facing that included misalignment of rooflines creating snow/ice catching areas that led to leaks.
Storm Proof came out, evaluated the situation, discussed options with us, and then provided a reasonable estimate to complete the needed fixes and provided us with a beautiful new roof. Using a mix of shingles and torch-down on low angle areas, Storm Proof upgraded the ice shield, liners, drip caps, installed a new ridge vent, and replaced a few sheathing boards as needed.
Work was scheduled within a couple of weeks of providing the estimate. Crews were professional and courteous, on-time and productive while onsite. They took time to be careful around the house, cleaned up leaves and other yard debris prior to work commencing which allowed them to do an excellent job getting up roof nails and debris after project completion.

Great communication all the way from first inquiry for a quote all the way to completed roof. The team was ahead of schedule and was able to do our roof a couple weeks early. Took two days for the whole thing and the roofing team was prompt each day and very tidy. Also helped fix some gaps that is between a portion of our roof and siding.

I had two properties that needed a new roof, I had contacted one company last fall about one of them and they were booked but put me on their list for next summer. When spring came I contacted them and they told me they had me on the schedule for August, so basically a year from when I first contacted them.
I contacted Storm Proof in March, they said they start doing estimates First of April, They went out on April second to do the estimate, I got the estimate April 3rd, once I had the estimate I then told them I wanted to move forward, they put me on the schedule for sometime in May, I then had the second property they did the estimate on that one in May and said they could do it on July. They ended up doing the first one at the end of April and the second one in the middle of May. So they completed both properties BEFORE the estimated date they gave me. When on site they took very careful care to lay down tarps to catch all of the debris, they took photos and sent them to me as they progressed. They said it would take 3 days for each roof and they only took the 3 days they said. At the end of each day they completely cleaned the whole area, this included taking a magnet all over the place to make sure no nails/staples were left for anyone or any pets to step on. Once the job was completed they sent me photos of the completed roof and again completely cleaned the area as if they were never there. I will absolutely use them again if the need arises.

Great communication and workmanship. They provide photographs of their work in progress and to project completion. They also added a little painting up on the eaves which was greatly appreciated on a high roof line. This is the second roof they’ve done for me and I highly recommend them.

Topnotch! From start to finish Storm Proof delivered. Their bid for our roof replacements (house and garage) was the most thorough of any contractor, and the customer service is flat out incredible. Very refreshing these days. Matt and Steve bring their skills and decades of experience to each job personally and take pride in doing things the right way, with the best materials. This roof is going to outlast me, so I may never need a roofer again, but if I ever do, Storm Proof is definitely who I would turn to. There aren't many businesses that are run with this level of professionalism. The crew arrived Monday morning. I was impressed with their dedication to safety and cleaning up the work site. By the end of that first day, the old roof was gone, the underlayment was complete, and the shingle bundles were on the roof, ready to go the next morning. It was all done and wrapped up in just 2 days. Highly, highly recommend!

Add another 5 star. Perfect communication both prior to the job and throughout the job. They gave us an estimated start date prior to paying. They ended up being able to start the job about one week earlier and gave us ample warning. Showed up punctually at 7:30 AM every day for three days straight and worked very hard to finish the job. They left my yard looking cleaner than it was before the job. I was included in a few decisions during the project and the roof looks great. The price quote was exact. I would not look anywhere else for our next roof.

We have used 6 or 7 different roofing companies in Anchorage and Wasilla over the last 30 years - NONE of them compare with Stormproof. I have personally installed 5 different roofing types over the years so I know a little about roofing. Their communication was perfect. They showed up when they said they would, they sent videos everyday of what was going on invited us up on the roof to take a look. They cleaned up at the end of everyday/ showed up rain / snow or sun. They work one job at a time so they’re focused on your job. They had custom flashing made for our job and Steve didn’t like the way it fit and shut things down and ordered new metal just so our roof was perfect - good luck finding anyone else that would do that just to ensure your job was done right. We own a handful of buildings in Anchorage and Wasilla for the last 30+ years and have interacted with various tradespeople, we have never dealt with a company with this level of integrity, honesty and craftsmanship in that time. Plus they are very easy to deal with and actually listen to your concerns and respond. There is only one roofing company we will ever call again - Stormproof , we could not be happier with the whole experience.

Matt and his team did a great job on our roof. It took a while to get scheduled (all roofing companies are backed up), but Matt kept us in the loop. They were so fast, in about a day and a half they had our new roof on.

Such a great experience working with StormProof Roofing! Great communication from the start with Matt, and he was very accommodating as we figured out our financing with our bank. When the work started, crew was on time and immediately got to work. We were sent videos of their progress throughout the day. They removed 2 layers of old shingles, blew in additional insulation to our attic, and installed the new roof with ridge vent and replaced a small section of bad wood all in a day and a half. We love our new roof and can't wait to get our fresh paint on the house to match it. Highly recommend working with this company. They came highly recommended to me from a friend, and my husband and I are so happy with our choice to accept their bid.

I highly recommend this business. Every step was very professional. I didn't know how to select a roofer so they had an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau & that is how I contacted them. They were middle expensive of the bids i received but worth the price for quality of materials & ease of service.

This is a father and son operation with additional crew members.
Communication and response during the bidding process, during the installation, and upon finishing was exceptional. They start early every morning and work the weekend. Of course, in the coming years is when I'll know for sure if the work was done well. But I'm betting this new roof will last me a long time considering how conscientious they are. Friendly, organized, and go above and beyond. The other two companies I got bids from were disappointing in dealing with. In fact, one company bid more than double what the other two did. So be careful. Be prepared if you have gardens around the foundation. Plants will be damaged. There's no way around it. Overall, these guys were wonderful.

This company is amazing! They are very professional and communicate often. They did an incredible job on our roof. They also have great prices and I’m so glad we went with them. If anyone was needing their roof done I would highly recommend them. They were all very friendly and enjoyable to work with.

Waited a year to be able to really give an accurate review. Last spring/summer 2020 we looked into a few companies to removed our old roof and put up a new one. These guys were great. They came out and talked to us in person (even with Covid going on), listened to what we wanted, offered good quality singles at at labor and material price, showed up on time and got the job done fast. One year later...No leaks...no issues. We have recommended them to our friends and to whoever is reading this review. No regrets. Would hire them again...absolutely.

Stormproof Roofing replaced an ancient and leaking flat garage roof for me. They responded quickly to my phone call for an estimate, gave a fair bid and were quick to schedule me. The work was completed professionally and efficiently, including clean up. Highly recommend.

Storm Proof just finished putting a new mental roof on my shop/barn. They were responsive with their quote, schedule and completing the work nicely. They were also good about dealing with some structural problems found during the job and taking care of some repairs. I'd use them again and recommend them to others.

If you need roofing done you don't need to look any further. From the first visit by Matt to get specs for a bid to the last tail light of the last truck leaving the driveway, everything was done in a professional and timely manner. The price was more than fair, the materials used were top notch, the job was done AHEAD of schedule, the communication was timely and continuous, they showed up with everything and everyone they needed to do the job, and there were no last minute "Oh, we forgot our..." moments. They said they would finish in a day and they did. Matt sent pics of the progress throughout the day and didn't try to sell me on any unnecessary work like the last roofing company did after an insurance repair. Matt himself made sure my deck was cleaned off after they finished and spent quite a bit of time after everyone else had left walking around the perimeter of the house picking up every last little bit of debris.

I really can't say enough good things about this company and the work they do. I rarely recommend anyone as that usually backfires, but my son used them before me and had identical results so I feel safe in telling people to use them

Storm Proof provided the best quote and included something the others did not even ask about. Very please with the owners and crew. Great personalities, quick to answer questions, cleaned up debris, and I'm extremely happy the porch cover got torn down! Our house is so much brighter. Thank you very much!

I believe that no one is prefect but I'd be hard pressed to identify anything that these guys could improve on. They were responsive on providing an estimate, it was a good price, they did our roof ahead of their promised date, and kept me informed throughout the process. Once they showed up for the job, the guys were polite, worked their butts off and communicated what they were doing (and kindly answered all our dumb questions). Lastly, the roof looks great! They're gone now and, other than the new roof, you'd never know they were even here. I have no hesitation in recommending Storm Proof to anyone.

I received great customer service and communication from the beginning until the end of the job. I received many progress photos and videos throughout the project, which was appreciated. I work with many contractors and they are top notch. My roof turned out great, and I'm sure I'll hire them for future projects. Highly recommend!

First off... very responsive and fair priced. Their quote was 3k less than a different contractor quoted for the same work. Secondly, very good communication. Stayed in contact until work could be done and kept us informed with pictures throughout the whole process (we don't live on the property they worked on). Overall very happy with the result and the process!

Matt was amazing to deal with. I wasn’t financially prepared to have to replace my flat 1450sf garage roof with new hot tar roof, but I had to. I had a few estimates and they all seemed unreasonably high. A friend told me about Stormproof so I contacted Matt. He responded right away even in the wintr and out of state! He had already looked at address on google earth and had an estimate for me. It was reasonable and I accepted. He gave me a timeline and he somehow stuck to it. He kept me in the loop every step of the way. The work was professional, large crew, one full day. Matt took pride in cleaning up and was quick to address all questions! Highly recommend.

I can’t say nothing but great things about Matt & Steve. How they are professional, how they run there business and how particular, precise and the craftsmanship they are with there work and then the finish product. The new roof on my home, WOW! The new Epdm rubber roof on my 600 sqft deck and then they built a 125’ rail system too. All of this with a minimal crew in less than a week and they hauled off all of the trash leaving my place clean. If you need something done, Call Storm Proof Roofing. Very punctual! They have always been true to their word on quotes given and with each project, they finished on time or early. Great experience with these guys! We bought our house this winter and discovered that we had a leaky flat roof during the rapid melt spring/summer. They got us taken care of within days, had quick communication (even on the weekends!), were prompt, clean, and thorough for the roof replacement, and sent picture updates throughout the project so that we knew what was going on. We know we will have to replace our pitched roof soon and we will definitely be reaching out to Storm Proof Roofing for that project, too!

Wow! The roofing team at Storm Proof has been exceptional! I needed a cracked sky light replaced, and other cracks in the surface/edges of my roof repaired. They measured the skylight, got the replacement, let me know 3 days ahead of when they'd be at my home. The work they did was documented with photos before and after, so I have a record for my files. Communications before, during and after the job were excellent and professional. I will be using this company for all my roofing needs, and highly recommend them.

Amazing company to work with. They were on time literally to the minute, answered all of my questions and concerns, did what they said they will do and then some! Even painted my boiler exhaust pipe so now it looks better than before. Very professional and friendly guys. My roof got peeled off in one of our recent high velocity wind storms. I had Storm Proof Roofing (SPR) come in and evaluate the damage and give me an estimate. Theirs was among the most competitive that I had received. The estimate included some infrastructure repair work as part of the bid (up to a certain amount). They also followed up after submitting the estimate.

Once I had decided to go with them, they worked me into their busy schedule and knocked the job out in 3 days (they worked through the weekend). Not only did they replace my whole roof, they put in a support beam on a sagging overhang, replaced some eves and repaired a couple of soffits AND painted everything that was replaced/repaired to match the color of the house. They kept me in the loop on the progress and sent pictures daily. When the bill came, it was exactly the amount that they quoted me in their estimate.

I am VERY pleased with SPR and the professional way they did the work. They cleaned up everything and the new roof looks great! I would highly recommend them for any roof work as their prices are competitive and their work is very professional.

What an awesome experience having this father/son duo replace our roof. To start, their quote was the most comprehensive of the 6 or 8 quotes we received. There wasn’t any guessing what was or wasn’t going to be done.

They showed up and made things happen quickly and smoothly. Within a couple hours of them starting the project I knew that I chose the correct contractor. They went way above and beyond in making our home look that much better after the new roof was in place. They were painting trim and cleaning gutters as the project went along. They ran a magnet around the house many many times. I still haven’t found a single nail anywhere from the demo. When it was all said and done my home and property looked way better than when they started.

I can’t say enough positive things about Storm Proof Roofing. I had lower quotes and I had way higher quotes. These guys know what they’re doing and are highly efficient. You really can’t go wrong with having them replace your roof.

Storm Proof Roofing just completed roofing our house and garage after we lost about half of the house roof in the last big wind. We were impressed with how quickly they provided a quote and with how quickly they were able to get to our house, despite having so many roofs to do. The crew was professional, courteous and very careful to clean up our yard throughout the time they were here. We are very pleased with our new roof and would not hesitate to use Storm Proof Roofing if we should ever need a roof again.

Steve and the Storm Proof crew did a great job. Weather was not cooperating, with high winds and rain, but they managed to safely work around all the issues and got the job done very quickly. Great job! I went on roof after the job was complete . It looks great and the improvement will take a load off my mind with regard to Alaskan weather. We just had a down-pour today and again no problems.

As soon as the spotless vehicles showed up, I knew attention to detail was part of who they were. I was walked through the process and explained what things to look for. Pros and cons of different techniques and what to replace were made in an honest and forthright manner.
There was a tricky code issue normally outside of the scope of their normal operations, but with creativity they were able to fix the issue.
As a home owner I was quite happy to see them take great care of the yard. They raked and used magnets to find the nails. They even brought a leaf blower to make sure the job site was clean at the end of each day.
Also of note was the painting of my chimney top to match the siding. The offer was unexpected and quite welcome.
During the process, I was sent pictures of things they found and progress made. It instilled confidence that things were being done as promised. Once the shingles go on how else would you know?
They were easy to work with, the price was reasonable and I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

I had my roof done in July. Wanted to give a shoutout for Storm Proof Roofing as I was very happy with work. It took two days and each day they were here early and worked non-stop until end of day. I had to make sure they were taking a break. I had 4 bids and chose them because of the detail they explained in bid and also the promptness of return calls. My rain gutters were messed up and they fixed them for no extra charge. They sent pictures throughout day so I could see their progress. When job was complete everything was cleaned up spotless. Husband and I just got our roof done. They were very knowledgeable, nice, and cleaned up after themselves. Everything was done in a timely manner. Plus they are a small Father and son business. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

They just finished my roof! Not only were they $2000 less on their quote for a more expensive product, they went above and beyond in reworking my drains and downspouts. Other than having a gorgeous new roof, you can't even tell they were here. Steve and Matt and their crew did a great job, sent pictures so I could see what was going on and when I was home had no problem with me getting on the roof to see what was happening and explaining what had been done and what their next steps were going to be. I can't wait for it to rain so I can see the new drains in action. From beginning to end they were very responsive to questions and requests.

Wonderful service. I solicited 4 companies for bids on a new roof and insulation, and Storm Proof was the only one that wanted to look when we were here, talk with us in person, and actually get on the roof and look at our unique situation. Steve and Matt were great communicators, with phone calls, texts, and emails throughout, and pictures while they rebuilt our roof. No 'over-age' charges or nickel-and-diming when they realized we'd need newer sheathing. Everything was done quickly and cleanly, with no impact on the garden beds alongside the house, or our toddler's schedule. Highly recommended.

Contacted company on the phone with a question about a leak. The gentleman I spoke with was very courteous and professional and he helped me find a solution to the problem myself saving me lots of time and money.

I have used Steve (& now his son) for about 20 years for roofing, decks, window & sliding glass door replacements. I have also referred Steve to many friends who have been happy as I am with his work. The work is not only excellent but no mess is left. Steve covered everything in my 3 bedrooms when they replaced windows & doors. No dust, no nails etc. All furniture replaced as it was when they came to do the work. They had to cut holes in wall as windows needed to be enlarged for egress issues. In fact he is going to replace the windows in the fron of the house soon. Janet Mischler
