We worked with CK on a pretty extensive remodel of a 2/2.5 house in the historic district (full kitchen and bathrooms remodeled) after being referred by our designer. The City didn't disappoint on the hoops we had to jump through for permitting, but Chris, Erin, and the team did a great job navigating a rather frustrating ordeal.

The City issue caused significant delays to the project, but the team was communicative and persistent through it all, and the completed project exceeded our expectations. Thank you for taking such care and diligence with our home! We absolutely love the results.

Ck Contracting did an amazing job with our beach condo renovation. First impressions matter, and after speaking to the selections coordinator, Erin, I felt that CK Contracting would be a good fit for us. Several other contractors did not even get back to me or could not answer my questions. Chris was a pleasure to work with and very detail oriented. He takes copious notes by phone on site and translates that back for himself at the office. To keep everyone on the same page during the project, they use Co-Construct. This was a bit intimidating at first. It is a huge program and with a full 2 bedroom condo renovation, there was a lot to enter on my side and on their side. However, the overall advantages of Co-Construct were helpful as I could see every conversation, every choice and every change laid out in one place. It also kept track of our expenses and where we were as plans changed at times. I often judge companies we have worked with not only on how they work to prevent problems, but what do they do to solve them. When we encountered some issues, Chris was ethical, quick to solve them, bent over backwards to see that our project got back on track quickly, and checked to make sure each trade did quality work. He had a sharp eye for things not being quite right and made sure all the trades met his high standards for CK Contracting. He is a truly customer based owner and when I changed my mind several times, he never made me feel like it was going to be an issue. I would highly recommend CK Contracting and would use them for future projects.

Chris and the team at CK Contracting did a wonderful job on my project, a new screened porch and deck. I especially appreciate the detailed pre-construction meetings so CK could be sure all details were covered. The communication platform/project website used was a huge help to keep track of all the communications. Chris and the team worked within my budget, developed good solutions for any surprises that came along the way, and even went so far as to give me and my wife a baby gift when our son was born during the project! CK construction did a very good job adding a bathroom under my raised home. This would have been 5 star but there was a bit of delay from the time we initially met and construction began. The initial estimate was incorrect and had to be adjusted up considerably but Chris worked with my budget and made adjustments to keep the cost down. I was very pleased with the final product and the attention to detail. Communication was very good.

My husband and I hired CK Contracting to renovate our 1950's home in The Groves in Mt Pleasant shortly after we purchased the property in 2020. While the home had been updated we wanted to expand our living room, knock out a wall, add a folding all glass porch door (designed to open up the room) and then add a 20 x 20 screened in porch. CK and team did an awesome job on the build and the quality was top notch. While of course you will always run into delays in building due to the supply chain issues, it was so refreshing how well the communication was from CK to us in regards to any delays. We would meet w/ CK at the house every week and walk the project, talk through next steps, scheduling, budgets etc. We never once had a "bad surprise" due to the responsiveness and the over communication style of this builder. We highly recommend CK and team for all your home building and remodeling needs.

I have nothing but good things to say about Chris. Our kitchen addition was completed on time and there were no surprises. Even after the project was finished, he checked in with us to make sure everything was working out well. His subcontractors were all excellent and did such high-quality work that we rehired them for smaller projects on the house. CK Contracting finished our downtown home remodel in February 2019. We called and interviewed no less than 5 different companies. Chris had solutions that others did not. We knew CK Contracting was the right one for us after Chris asked, "what's going to keep you up at night?" With any renovation, the time line is usually the hardest to nail down, but I am pleased to say our 2-3 month timeline nearly hit the nail on the head (finished in 3 months 1 week). The quality of work is still shining through after living in the space for the past 6 months.
