Great experience! They squeezed us in to get our air conditioner up and running, they were communicative and also helpful with pricing options.

Our AC was frozen over and they we able to come out same day to evaluate the issue. Thankfully it was a simply fix and we are up and running again. Our tech explained each step & why as well as double checking basic maintenance to keep us going strong. I highly recommend them.

Ally got me scheduled the morning after I called. Nick arrived on time, personable, knowledgeable and skillful. Problem resolved in under an hour. Ridiculously affordable.

Id like to say nick is definitely someone who goes above and beyond for people it started in the winter where our furnace went out and he made sure we got a new one regardless and had a new one installed at 9pm to help us stay warm and then has come out and fixed our a/c we are super appreciative for his great customer service and his willingness to take care of us regardless

It was easy to schedule an appointment with Nick. He and his wife are so sincerely kind and accommodating. He was on time and clearly communicated with me about everything. I was home recovering from a surgery and Nick went above and beyond to help me out with a few things, ie getting me the right size furnace filter, checking my furnace, and checking my humidifier system. He didn't talk down to me, didn't rush me, just explained things to me as a friend would. He didn't try to sell me on services I did not need. He is knowledgeable, and his prices are incredibly fair. Because it was a part he had replaced last year that failed (at a reasonable price) he didn’t charge me. I was floored. This is the type of small business we should all be supporting.

I want to start by saying the service was great - Nick is very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly, but pricing was a bit unexpected. $150 to clean my dryer vent while he was already out here for the A/C - I could've hired several other highly rated duct cleaning companies to do my entire house for $200 which would have included the dryer vent. And $175 for a basic A/C tune up with no repairs needed - I got a couple quotes from other companies that ranged from $75 - $125, but I wanted to support a local small biz instead. My fault for not requesting a quote before hiring, but I guess I assumed the price would be in the range of the other quotes I had received from larger companies.

Nick and Ally were awesome helping fix are furnace. Ally was excellent on telling us when Nick would arrive and Nick showed up ordered the part and had it replaced in a couple hours. This was on a Saturday and definitely appreciated their help!!

We highly recommend Nick and Ally from Chestnut Mechanical. Unexpected call on New Year's day, from our son who lives with a room-mate in our Longmont rental. Older home, heater would not kick on, located in crawl space. Our son tired to reset switch, but wouldn't stay on. Only call back on a was from Ally who let us know Nick would be out same day at certain time. Nick was timely, got heater to kick on, ordered new switch, which was replaced next day. Meantime, saw water under home. Found source, leaking water heater. Nick was in constant communication with my husband, who was very impressed with his clear communication on cost to replace water heater, but also felt Nick went the extra mile in fixing the flooring before installing new unit. We are highly impressed with his work ethic, and would use his service again if the need arises.

" had to dig up the floor. It was like wet mulch. It had definitely been leaking for a long time. I built a subfloor out of 2x4 and OSB. I drilled a bunch of holes in the existing floor to help dry it out. Then built over top. Turned out really good though. Painted the OSB black and also added a pan. I put a water sensor down in there to help prevent something like that happening again."

Great work… was knowledgeable and fast at getting my furnace back up and running not to mention great pricing on top of it all !!!!

Nick relpaced our heater motor and also added a place for the filter. He was honest and friendly. He did a wonderful job and would recommend him for all your heating and cooling work.

Our AC went out on the hottest day of the year last summer. It was the original AC unit and over 20 years old so I expected to be told immediately that we needed a new one. Nick came out the next day and tried for a couple of hours to get the old unit up and running which we really appreciated. When it wasn’t able to be fixed, he gave us a really reasonable quote on a new unit and was able to install it the next day so we were stuck in the heat for too long. We would definitely recommend Chestnut Mechanical and will be calling them again in the future!

We had Nick install an air conditioner on short notice. Since then we’ve had him do service on our furnace and clean our ducts. He and Ally are both very personable and professional. I had a furnace go out at one of my rentals this past February and he was there with a new unit within 24 hours. No issues with the install and very affordable! A different company was quoting me for a smaller unit than what he installed and were charging more than twice the price!!

We hired Nick to move venting for our dryer that was originally designed to exit through the roof (yes none of us know why either) out the side of the house instead. The quote was reasonable and the work he did was great. We had a small issue with power to the dryer so Nick came out on a *Sunday* to make it right. We're very happy with Nick, Ally and everyone at Chestnut and would be happy to work with them again in the future.
