After looking at many options we selected Cedar Roofing Company to install our new roof. Brock was very patient with us as we decided what type and of shingle and the selection of color to use. He explained the different options and timeframe for having the work completed. As the installation took place, we had great oversight by Stan and Keith B. who gave us updates and asked about any concerns. The crew worked very hard and we are very happy with the installation and the finished product. They also cleaned up well around our home when the work was completed. This roof is our second roof with CRC. They are always easy to work with from the beginning of the project with our salesman, Dan Kottmeyer. Dan goes above and beyond to make sure every detail is discussed and shown in the quote.
After working with Dan, we started to work with Sandy with our billing. Sandy gave us a precise payment schedule for before the job began, to the first day when materials arrived, and then the final payment following the completion of the project.

Very experienced and polite workers. They came every day for 6 days, weather permitting, did all the prep work before, to protect the house and facilitated the disposal of the old roof, completed the section they planned for each day and cleaned up after the planned completion.

We recently contracted with the Cedar Roofing Company (CRC) for the replacement of our cedar shake roof. I am pleased to report that CRC delivered an outstanding customer experience! Our estimator Brock, stayed involved throughout the entire process, making sure I was well informed and comfortable at each stage of the project before moving onto the next one. Under Alfredo‘s leader ship the roofing crew arrived on time every day and made sure to clean up the worksite before departing. Communications were excellent with Brock, Alfredo, and Sandy at the home office all making sure that my questions were answered quickly and completely. CRC just completed a reroof project using Brava synthetic shake shingles (color-Lake Forest), 6" aluminum gutters, Raindrop gutter inserts, and some snow guards. The roof looks amazing. Our neighbors are commenting how great it looks. I think the community's skepticism for moving to the Brava shingles is waning. We had a great experience working with CRC to replace our nearly 25-year-old cedar roof and gutters/downspouts. Every aspect of the job exceeded our expectations – sales, materials delivery, installation, project management, and invoicing/office support were all outstanding.

Keith M. in sales was knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. We contacted several other contractors who seemed far less competent and professional. Keith evaluated the roof’s condition and we discussed possibly using homeowners insurance to recover costs for “hail damage.” Other contractors actively promote this strategy (with some success apparently, according to several neighbors). But our roof was very old, and in bad shape, and hail damage was the least of the reasons for the roof’s poor condition. We didn’t attempt to use homeowners insurance since this might’ve affected our premiums, future claims, and even insurability. Keith explained the various cedar and synthetic shake replacement options, and the CRC website provides photos of many roof replacement projects, as well as information on the various roofing options. Also, another homeowner we know in the neighborhood had used CRC and they were pleased with the results. We felt CRC would get the job done right, so we selected them for this project.

During the project, the roofing team led by Juan Ochoa was fantastic – hard working, helpful, and professional. Juan was great, a super guy doing tough and hazardous work leading a team of roofers and contractors. The onsite Project & Safety Managers, Dave B. and Stan, were also super helpful to ensure the roofing team stayed safe and maintained quality during the project. The roofing team found that some of the upstairs exhaust fan vents were not connected through the roof, but instead connected to the rear soffit. Juan, the roofer Nacho, Dave and Stan, and Keith all worked together with us and they connected the exhaust fans properly to new roof vents. The roofing team cleaned the work zone after every work day, and the premises were clean at the end of the project.

After the roof was completed, CRC also installed new gutters and downspouts, with the team led by Ramon and Jesus who again did a great job with everything. Sandy Black in accounting managed the accounts payable part of the job and procured the necessary local permits.

In summary, CRC did a super job from sales through completion. The new roof, gutters, and downspouts all look great now – thank you, CRC!

I We are from Caledonia Wisconsin,we were I need of a cedar roof replacement,we cannot be any happier and so glad we went with CRC Roofing Company, Brock came to our home and showed us options from grade number one heavy cedar shingles,to composite as our HOA has approved the choice was clear as it fire rated high winds rated the feel and look from the Brava brand is amazing you would swear it is real! We are thrilled with the work done by Cedar Roofing Company, replacing the entire roof on our house. First we worked with Dan Kunz who came out to work up an estimate and show us samples. He was super responsive and helpful in sorting out what would be the best type of product for our needs - without upselling us on unnecessary ad-ons, which is always appreciated. We expected to wait a few months for the shingles to come in and they arrived nearly exactly when Dan had estimated, he called us right away and the guys were at our house to start work just a couple of days after that. Very efficient!! Our roof is pretty large and the crew that came out to do it felt like the right number of guys - there were maybe 4-6 on the roof at any given time, under the capable leadership of crew leader, Julio. The workers were so respectful of the village regulations for working hours, they were respectful of our neighbors and they were done with our huge roof in less than three days. Of course as a layman, I joke that we won't know if they've done a good job or not until the roof starts leaking in a few years.... however - our contractor was at our house during a portion of the time they were working on the roof and he commented that they were doing an excellent job - so I take the word of the expert!! We've already received compliments from our neighbors and we are just blown away by the speed, efficiency, and quality work delivered. THANK YOU!!

In very simple terms .... excellent company and a job well done. They have different crews that work on asphalt roofs, cedar shakes, slate, etc. Then different crews that work on metal (flashing, copper, etc.), different crew for carpentry (skylights, cupolas), and finally different crews that install the gutters. Bottom line: They all know what the other crew is doing and when they're needed on site for their specific work. It is an extremely efficient operation and they each have been doing their specific line of work for a number of years. A Project Manager is on site when the job kicks off and follows up throughout the days ahead (plus you will receive the PM's cell # if anything comes up).

You may pay a little more but they do an excellent job and they've been in business (I believe) for over 30 years. If you want to know the job was done right with no issues, hire Cedar Roofing - simple.

I started looking for a roof almost a year ago. CRC was extremely responsive and patient, giving me lots of back-up information and plenty of reference jobs. Their competitor also gave me a quote, which was a little lower, but they were so slow to respond and harder to work with I paid the premium and felt CRC was the best place to go. They worked with me on dates so my family could be out of town while the work was done (it is LOUD). We had a new roof and gutters installed last week. Dan and Juan were great to work with, each day they walked me through what was going to be done. The crew was also great, they cleaned up each day, their quality of work was excellent as well. They even let me salvage hundreds of old cedar shingles so I could use them on my chicken coop! Great to work with, would do business with them again.

Final product looks great. Crew was outstanding. Only deduction is it took 7-8 months for the roof to be replaced after deposit - but a lot of that is outside of control (due to other weather related projects).

Highly recommend. CRC replaced cedar shingle roof and cooper gutters on our victorian house following 2020 hail storm. From bidding and staging through completion and clean-up, CRC's management, foreman and crew were highly professional in completing this complicated job. Very high level of workmanship and care. Clearly they have great supplier relationships as shingle quality was excellent. It is also clear that having their own crews is fundamental to providing high quality installation. Selecting CRC was the right decision for us.

Cedar Roofing came out to look at my roof; took months of various proposals as to doing a flat roof and came up with an astronomical price to tear off a flat roof and when we said no, they said that they would try to find a commercial roofer to help fix our flat roof and then kept putting us off until we got to winter. I kept asking if they could patch, but no response and now, we are at winter. No roofer, no patching - I don't trust Cedar Roofing at all. I've gone elsewhere for a Spring fix.

The integrity, expertise, and professionalism of this company is unmatched! Our cedar shake roof is 19 years old and there are a few trouble spots (moss from partial tree coverage). We wanted an evaluation to determine if the roof needed to be replaced or if it had more life. We had two companies assess the roof. The 1st Company (that I later found out was a storm chaser/ insurance restoration company) basically said our roof was rotten and needed immediate replacement (never did receive a quote for roof replacement). The 2nd Company, CRC, assessed the roof to show normal wear and tear of a roof its age and it was not at the stage of imminent failure . Brock Hopma went on to explain that the average life of a shake roof is about 20 years and that average depends on all sorts of environmental factors. He also explained the signs of a "worn roof" and illustrated to us by pictures that our roof was still in pretty good shape. The moss can be treated and mitigated from the roof in warmer weather. Brock also gave us a very competitive replacement quote should be elect to replace the roof before the house goes on the market for sale in the Spring. Thank you Brock and CRC !!!!

I had a warranty on the roof installed by cedar not even a year old which began to leak at every rainfall. Cedar roofing refused to fix the leak said it was not their fault.? I had two other roofing companies tell me that the shingles were improperly stalled.

The only roofing contractor that I spoke to that had a repair division and was willing to take on a small repair. Knowledgable and professional staff, did what they said when they said they would. I recommend!
