Buckle up this is going to be a long one. We got a brand new heating and air system few years back, We are currently under contract. They were suppose to come out and service it. They canceled due to some family emergency. 1 week later in June maybe beginning of July. Our system was not working. We now have to buy 2 air conditioner units because the technician said it's going to get hot and you'll need them. 400 dollars later. So They had a technician come out. Told us he would have the part shipped to his house and should be here in a few days. The office called me the next day and said we would have to wait 3 weeks for the new part to be put in. * I am frustrated at this point because one person telling me one thing another something different. We get the new part put in and you will never believe it! We need another part replaced but they wouldn't have known if they didn't change the other part. So we wait another few more weeks to have this new part put in. They put it in and it still doesn't work. So now we have the senior tech come out and he says your under contract they should have been cleaning the coils no wonder it's working so hard we will now have to change your compressor and it will be 650.00 ...even under contract?? Guess what we are now into September and I STILL DONT HAVE AIR. we are waiting for another tech to come out tomorrow and see what is wrong this time. How do we get charged 650 for a new compressor because they didn't follow thru on their end of the contract and their servicing. So maybe I'll air next summer. And I'm hoping I have heat this winter.

Tried to call 24/7 number told someone would call but 24/7 is only available to customers with pre-existing accounts and they made it sound like only one person works there. Wanted to get a price range and was told that previous account for my address was thinking about changing the system.They did not and was interrupted to be told off they were just reading off what was in the report never got my answer and was told about the other steps that had to be done before they could even consider me a customer.

I have delt with Griffith Energy (Carl King) for about 9 years now. I had representation for my Mom to make the calls for fuel, service, etc. and now for myself. The techs have always been 100% wonderful. One gentleman has been coming for years. Eric John always friendly, always with a smile, puts up with all my questions about what’s that? Or what does that do? Etc, always very clean. He is genuinely like Family. Mom always gave him a hug. I highly recommend him and Carl King.

My ordeal continues...after they failed me and I decided to cancel my account, I called the office and asked Cindy, the receptionist who answered my call to tell me if I would incur any fees for canceling, she said NO. I asked multiple times to check if there was anything I would have to pay if I canceled at that moment, she always said no. Three month later I get a bill for $399 for canceling before my contract ended. I had an account with them for 40 days, and according to a later call, I was told that after 30 days if you cancel for ANY reason, you will be billed $399. I told Karen what Cindy had said about canceling, she said Cindy was not the appropriate employee to tell me about cancelation fees. I asked if this amount could be reduced, and a month later I still get no answer, just a new bill for $410 for added late fees. Unbelievable! Please look for other companies, Carl King energy services will try to rip you off!

Worst company, don't waste time, talk with them there is joke, when you talk with Cindy on the phone she said something and when you talk with Karen to the main office she said whenever Cindy said is no true because she only a employee, how you excuse the word of your employees saying to you customers was employees fault but they going to charge hidden fees, they lock the tank with out inspected one they already said in order to continue with automatic filling they avoid inspection, they don't care about customers they lock it with out telling you they are inside your property

I recently purchased my property. at the end of December 2022 I called the number on the propane tank to get information regarding the process of refilling it. A very rude Cindy explained that the previous owner had an auto-refill account, which waived the fee for the tank inspections. I accepted to follow the same type of account and asked her to schedule me for for a refill. It is February no one had come, I called again to inquire about when I should expect the tank to get refilled & was told it needed to get inspected first. The inspection guy comes two days after my call, somehow I missed his knock on the front door, so he just decided to shut the gas off, lock the tank and leave without a call or another try at the door. I realized something was wrong when I try to make breakfast for my kids, so I call the company & again rude Cindy explains what just happened. I asked why I didnt receive a heads up call to know he was coming, and she stated "we don't do that". I asked why I was not given a time frame of when to expect him, and she said "we told you he'd be there after 8am". She then proceeded to say they could not come back to inspect the tank until the next day. I explained I have little kids that need to eat and she just said "well, I dont know what to tell you, he cannot get back out there until tomorrow" and just hung up. I called again to cancel my account and asked for them to pick up their tank so I can get another installed. How do you schedule house visits without giving a timeframe of when to expect the person to arrive? How can your employees just show up without a heads up call? How can you leave a house with kids without utilities needed for cooking? 100% do not recommend this company. Shop around instead, oil prices were lower at other companies too.

This place has become a joke.
They took our pipe off the heat tank and filled it up. It had a lock on for a reason. We didn’t ask for a refill our bill was through the roof. They were coming to put in 5 gallons when we didn’t need it. Then recently they wouldn’t come fill our propane because we had a 200 dollar balance. We have 5 percent left and said they’d be here this week? No we need it today. Yet it was up to around 2000 from all the heating oil refills we didn’t need. they kept coming and refilling stuff every other week when the balance was that high? Makes no sense.

Paid $119 for someone to come look at our furnace. Was not checked due to water being in the crawlspace. Called to inquire about a refund, but no refund or tech was sent to come back another day. Had to call another company that came the next day to check our furnace with no issue with there being water in the crawlspace.

Recently I had my seasonal HVAC tuneup for all my mechanical components. The Carl King servicing technician Is one of my favorites due to his skill, knowledge, and approach to the work. Again, he did not disappoint and delivered a flawless and professional job. Kudos to Carl King and their super competent staff!!!

Carl King has been servicing my house since 2010, and I have been pleased. I was not home at the time of service but my youngest son was, and he did not complain about or mention any problems-and he would have. Also, the fact that my boiler is still working after approximately 35 years with Carl King overseeing the last 10 years of maintenance speaks for itself. Thank you for taking such good care of my home.

We are under contract heating oil auto fill. They claimed to have competitive pricing but 1 month into it we found the price increasing immensely. Now, 9 months into our contract they are charging us DOUBLE what other companies are in the area. I am disgusted. This is bad business practice - loreing customers in with the idea they are “fair” and “competitive” pricing yet here we are. I’m incredibly disappointed in the customer loyalty. My husband emailed them and we are waiting to hear a response. I’ll post a follow up, to inform prospective customers about customer retention, customer service, and how they value their customers. At this point, I am warning prospective customers to not sign a contract! I urge you not to sign with them.

My first time using your technicians to fix a problem with my heater - even though I've been a propane customer of yours for years! Daniel Hays and Jeff Meintzer arrived on time and went right to work after listening to the issues with my heater. They were able to diagnose and correct the problem and had my heat back working in short order. I could not have been more impressed with their knowledge and professionalism! Technician, Daniel Hays came out to complete the annual service on my heater. He arrived within the allotted time frame. He was personable and knowledgeable. He reviewed everything that was completed and provided feedback regarding replacing the filter soon. Thank you for a positive experience.

My furnace was serviced by Daniel Hays . Mr. Hays was very efficient and answered all my questions. He showed me how to program my thermostat which was very important to me. I had forgotten how to do that. He is a pleasant man and I am happy with this service call.

Terrible customer service from the person who I was trying to understand and pay my bill to over the phone. Her name was Cindy and every time I tried to speak with her she over spoke loudly and rudely with a “MA’AM HERE’S WHAT I’M SEEING.” The propane is good and most times I have a good experience but Cindy was the worse. Good Luck!

Tech arrived at a reasonable response time. He was thorough in correcting the issue and he explained each step. He seemed very concerned that this was our 3rd visit in 7 days & was determined to find the solution to our ongoing problem.The technician was Daniel Hays.

I am a new home owner and I always do my homework when it comes to Any type of service for my home.. Well at this time I can say that my first call to Griffith Energy was professional and productive. The Tech Daniel came out to evaluate my Oil Tank System. I thought he was professional and honest! I knew what needed to be done and then my appointment was scheduled for the work to be performed. I was pleasantly surprised at the Cost and also the promptness of the Techs.. They came out Dec. 24th = Christmas Eve...And what a Christmas Gift... You just may have a New Customer... Have A Very Happy New Year 2020... Griffith Energy!!!

Daniel Hays was a great technician. He found the problem with my boiler immediately. He replaced nozzle, adjusted electrodes and tested the system several times. He also explained things to me. He was very friendly and personable. He is an asset to Carl King Services.

1ST. rate cleaning job done on my furnace! Very friendly and explained everything he was doing to clean my furnace. Wasted NO time and got down to the job in hand....He was driving truck #191....Hope he can do it again next year when my furnace will be cleaned again!

Technician Eric John worked on my air conditioner on Saturday and he did a fantastic job! He not only came to my home at 6:30 pm in the evening. He was at my home within 30 minutes after I placed the call.

He was very pleasant and very informative about what was needed to repair the unit.

I will definitely call Carl King again. Thanks for all of your help Eric!

We had the annual check up on both the air conditioner and heater done today. The gentleman that did the work was on time and completed the check on both units. He went over both the units with us and asked if we had any questions, and told us no problems were found. The gentleman was very polite and was a pleasure to deal with.

If I could give this company no stars I absolutely would!! The worst propane company I have ever dealt with ever!! Steer clear from this place.. total rip off, absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. After being a 12 year customer I finally had enough and told them to come get their tank!! After shopping around to different propane companies I realize I have been paying just shy of 500 dollars for 94 gallons of propane, quotes from other companies half that price for 100 gallons. My last straw was after paying for my propane and scheduling a delivery I informed the very rude receptionist at the Dover office my tank level was extremely low and I needed an emergency tank, needless to say after getting no where with this rude troll I ask for a supervisor, she says no problem I'll send one out by this evening. At about 430 in the afternoon get a call back from the supervisor who says she spoke with the dover branch and I cannot get an emergency tank I would have to wait until the next day get charged $150 for the 7 gallon tank and then the soonest i could get a normal delivery would be about 4 days out. Absolutely ridiculous!! Please do yourself a favor and save yourself from a lot of grief and go elsewhere!!!!!!

On one of the coldest nights of the year a freak electrical problem knocked out our furnace and several other appliances. Technician Daniel H. Was quick to respond. He even checked to make sure we had some source of heat as he was some distance away. He was thorough and pleasant throughout the visit. He clearly explained the work performed. Highly recommended.

Today Daniel Hays came to my home (once again 02/20/20) to do preventive maintenance on our furnace. He was timely, polite, efficient, and acted as a true gentleman. He was very careful to wipe his feet each time he had to enter, used a drop cloth to protect our carpet, and when he left you couldn't even tell he had been here, except the furnace was tuned up. :-) We could not be more happy with our service.

It went really Well, Rob was right on time, Very Polite, Rob came in & Explained everything he was going to do, When he came in my dog came up to him to greet him (Abbie my Mini Beagle) he bent down & petted her, Checked everything out & made sure my secondary heat was working, Ask if I had any question. Said he would come back & check the A/C unit when it got warmer. I was Very Satisfied with Him .. I will always ask for Him .

Very poor service. Had multiple issues. Costs were outrageous for service. Previous owner was in violation of the tank rules for gauge and other things and never brought up when Carl King came out for the settlement agent to measure how much oil was in tank. Cost me another $260 that should have been charged to original owner for not complying. Had service request where technician said my AC was undersized. After having second HVAC person come in, issue was that there was no insulation between exhaust pipe and attic pulling down 107 degree air into the return and trying to cool it. After the insulation, AC has not been a problem. Office staff is clueless and no help and the oil rate I was promised for first fill up was not honored due to the tank issue from previous owner. Will never use you again. Service contract price just for furnace is the same price for other HVAC companies in the area for both AC and furnace. You had an opportunity to keep me but too many issues and lack of service in 1 year. For my service call this past summer I waited all day for your technician and I was not called u til 5:30pm to say I’ll be there in an hour. I refused to have him come as I wasted a day at my vacation home waiting. Every other vendor gave me a window. Manager calls me and complains to me to for cancelling. Again Nice service. How about you communicate with your customers. If I knew it would be all day I would have gone to the beach and come back. Then when he does come the next day he is incompetent. So good bye!

The worst gas company ever, weve been waiting for heat for 5 days now, called them about 20 times and no result, by the way the representatives are rude and ignorant. Called today again at 3:50pm and a representative told me that someone will be out. Its currently 8:30pm and still no result. I HIGHLY recommend to not buy their services

We switched to Carl King years ago and have always found them to be helpful, knowledgable and prompt. Obviously, winter months during a snow storm are very busy for them and your expected wait for a delivery may be longer than you hoped. We, however, have never had a problem by watching the weather and being understanding of their wide-reaching client base. This is a good company doing a great job!
